Lets stop questioning and allow ourself to accept the peace and time within ourselves with Christ. Lust of the flesh says something is wrong with having solitude in Christ, but has God isolated us for a season for a reason? We got to be reminded to be Kingdom minded, not this world minded. We are in preparation for His service in Eternity... let the Holy Spirit move and have His way in any way He chooses with us. Thank You for Your attention to our spiritual preparedness and growth as we anticipate Enternity in Your presence.

I was raised in a home of very emotionally dis regulated parents. As I grew into adulthood, I had the same emotional, negative, chaotic response to small annoyances. Then one day I dropped my suitcases on the top of our stairs, as I was entering into a vortex of anger and stress about packing, and said out loud, “I have a choice! It doesn’t really matter when we get there and these emotions are not helping anyone!” In that moment I chose my response and remained calm. After years and years of continual commitment and practice, I am grateful for the peace have obtained most of the time. But…it was help considerably by my faith: prayer, Bible verses, confession, and an unwavering belief that I am inherently loved by God, without that underpinning I would not have succeeded.

Greetings to all. I'm 59 years of age. I have been around many of people but I have not been all over the world. I would like to say I don't have to FRIENDS not to many that I know of. People that call me and say let's go out or go shopping.. No not even that. I found out somethings are the way God wants it to be. It's not I don't know how to make friends but it's not long before they are not around any more or not long. I know things that I carry in me are a GIFT FROM GOD and I know I have to be careful about my company that I keep. So I have learned to EXCEPT what it is. If there are things in your life that you just don't understand why is this happening. Develop a prayer life with GOD and the Holy Spirit ASK let God reveal to you. Exactly this really speaks to the Lord telling us to not be moved by the worlds chaos and TRUST in him and in return he blesses you with the ability to have inner peace in this trust we have in him. And yes he will help u navigate this ugly world and provide you with the strength to overcome come our own out of control emotions and especially fear. Fear feeds all the other emotions we grapple with. He understands us and can walk with us and give us what we need to overcome and adopt trust in him and peace within.
Pod casters spin this subject as if u can be in charge. But do u notice u find yourself falling back into that which u can’t control. Yes.. I know and it wasn’t until I asked Jesus to come to my heart and give me the promises and peace that his spirit gives us as we invite him into our hearts. No speaker or psychologist created this phenomenon. It comes from higher power that invites us to come to him and walk with him. Then and only then will our efforts “to not let things bother us” becomes the real path of trust and peace that we can be loved and cared for and watched over regardless the battles we fight in this world. He comes to us to comfort us give us strength and clarity in this world with daily life and our life’s struggles. You will never experience the true power to overcome until we can realize that our Lord and father are the true givers of such an existence. Blessing that create peace comes from Christ.. being invited in our hearts and the journey that he will begin with us as he transforms us. What a gift.

Here's what CS Lewis really said about this very topic:
We begin to notice, besides our particular sinful acts, our sinfulness; begin to be alarmed not only about what we do, but about what we are.
This may sound rather difficult, so I will try to make it clear from my own case.
When I come to my evening prayers and try to reckon up the sins of the day, nine times out of ten the most obvious one is some sin against charity; I have sulked or snapped or sneered or snubbed or stormed.
And the excuse that immediately springs to my mind is that the provocation was so sudden and unexpected; I was caught off my guard, I had not time to collect myself.
Now that may be an extenuating circumstance as regards those particular acts: they would obviously be worse if they had been deliberate and premeditated.
On the other hand, surely what a man does when he is taken off his guard is the best evidence for what sort of a man he is.
If there are rats in a cellar you are most likely to see them if you go in very suddenly. But the suddenness does not create the rats: it only prevents them from hiding.
Apparently the rats of resentment and vindictiveness are always there in the cellar of my soul.
Now that cellar is out of reach of my conscious will. I can to some extent control my acts: I have no direct control over my temperament. And if what we are matters even more than what we do-if, indeed, what we do matters chiefly as evidence of what we are-then it follows that the change which I most need to undergo is a change that my own direct, voluntary efforts cannot bring about.
And this applies to my good actions too. How many of them were done for the right motive? How many for fear of public opinion, or a desire to show off? How many from a sort of obstinacy or sense of superiority which, in different circumstances, might equally have led to some very bad act?
But I cannot, by direct moral effort, give myself new motives. After the first few steps in the Christian life we realize that everything which really needs to be done in our souls can be done only by God.

Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
    “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?

I’m so sorry you experience these crisis in your life. I thought I had it bad😂. I’ve cared for my sister who shot herself in the head 42 years ago. She survived severely handicapped with her frontal lobe traumatic brain injury. I’m 75 and count the days to be freed from this because quite frankly, I”m tired. Yet, I push on because I know that only I can take care of her best and I love her my sister so much. I, too, stay up late. I spend that time praying, playing two games I enjoy and cleaning. It’s my life; I embrace it because it is what God is permitting right now. He’s not in heaven saying, damn I didn’t know that would happen to her. He works daily miracles in my life. He’s become my partner in this endeavor. I certainly hear all of your concerns, but ya know what? God’s got this. You don’t have to worry about most of it. It does no good. Submit your concerns to Jesus, and he will care to help you sort out what’s important. Ask Him to partner with you by taking it all. Seriously, do it!!!!! Then, in humility sit back and see what he leaves in your life. BTW: you sound quite functional to me. Be well - ASK Jesus to carry the load. We can’t act as if nothing bothers us. When a person finds themselves in such difficult situations that nothing that they can do can change the outcomes of the things ahead of them, the only other place to look is outside yourself. That is where a true deep and meaningful belief in Jehovah God and his promises, which are
Guaranteed by Christ Jesus.. There is nothing else to lean on, only the truth of Jehovah, his promises and a hope for the future. That he guarantees, That he offers to all, that you can have, when you have nothing else. This cannot be taken away from you , no matter how bad things get, When Jehovah's Christian Witnesses were put in concentration camps in the 1930 before World War 2, The only hope they had was the promise of the kingdom that Jesus foretold. This is a real hope, a sure hope, it is not a fantasy, These are the promises made by the God who cannot lie... What do you do with them and that opportunity, when it comes to your door, is up to you.

When I was a kid when one thing went wrong in my mom's day she would scream and say "now my entire day is ruined" and as a child I noticed most of her days were bad. As I grew up I started having this attitude that I saw and was taught and I was sick and tired of having "bad days" day after day. Someone told me to think " what can I do about this problem? If there is nothing you can do, then let it go and let the problem take care of itself." I started with little things and soon this is a daily habit of mine. It takes time and practice, but I now have no more "entire days that are ruined". Its not how hard you punch, but how hard you GET punched but still get up and go forward that makes the strong person.

I normally never comment or even look however I noticed the post that says I'm alone.
Even when you feel so alone in this life.
Just know that you never are.
Jesus is our best friend 🙏, our heavenly Father, teacher, healer, and so much more.
I accidentally came across this video the other day and figured why not.
God is always good and it's up to us to learn to listen to what he has to teach us. No matter how weird it seems he's going to get the message across to us.
It's pretty awesome the way he will do anything to help us grow or heal.
God bless you and all of us in the life here. It's a great message. It's just up to us to let us take it and run with it. putting it on repeat to truly soak it all in and apply it to our lives.
Or let our negatives always win. Instead of God.
I am struggling too but it helps to know my conviction, ask for forgiveness, and know that tomorrow is a new day, and I can restart thanks to God's endless love and forgiveness.

Lewis because I can't recall hearing at least once the mention of Jesus's Name in the video. This message is useful but my inner strength and positivity is nothing without Him. He is my strength and my joy. I just came from a walk with God and He reminded me whose I am and who I am because of the one Who lives in me. There is no other source of true Peace outside of YHWH in union with Mashiach. HALLELUYAH

We don’t have the power to do this in our own human strength nor would I want to walk around pretending nothing is wrong, that just seems like a lie. I do believe in the power of prayer that when we pray to Jesus, he begins to fight our battles for us, but only when we ask. He knows what we need before we even ask, but we must have a relationship with him first and believe every prayer will be answered in HIS timing. I do know this becomes possible when you lay your worries down at Jesus feet. Jesus gives us this power through him and everything is possible if you believe and trust, praying without ceasing in Jesus name. He says, Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them ALL. Psalms 34:19
    James 5:13
Is any of you afflicted? Let him pray.
