When you went through the Intrigue board in the rules overview I thought, well that does not sound very fun.... Guess I was not the only one...:D Gonna need this thing still though. Love Orléans and play it way too rarely these days. Invasion was awesome, but a bit easy.
Oh man... the first expansion, Orleans: Invasion, only just became available in the U.S. from TMG this week! Now there is another expansion? Crazy! Keep them coming, though! Love this game! :-D
The first thing that popped in my mind with the intrigue board is that it could be used for a very very challenging solo scenario. It is kind of mean when a player does this stuff to you, I agree, but an A.I. (automa) doing this to you, that is another story. Orleans + the invasion is one of the best games I have in my collection and I bought it recently (2 weeks ago) and I am amazed from how all these modules give you different experience. To be hounest I have only played half the game, because I mostly play solo (My friends like party games only) still I dont mind. I do welcome solo scenarios though and this seems like a game that can generate quite a few of them.
When I saw a picture of this from Essen I got really excited and read the rules. It was a must buy just from that but it's great that you both confirmed what I thought. :D
Haven't been able to see the Invasion expansion for Orleans yet; if I'm hunting down an Orleans expansion, would you recommend starting with this or Invasion for two players? Because both sound like really solid expansions that you seem to think highly of - The More Of The Same (but a really good More Of THe Same) of Traders, or the Turns A Competitive Game Into A Coop of Invaders?
I was really hoping there would be something in the expansion that would contribute to the cooperative game since my daughter and I play that version exclusively. Too bad.
You can order it from DLP games website right now, dual language (German/English). As far as TMG releasing it, who knows. They took forever to release the first expansion.
The original game was broken on release this game seems to fix the balance that was weighted towards science and great people and gives more opportunity for win conditions not involving that action scheme.
Hmm... Interaction in a game has to be not just ad-hoc "take-that". There has to be a strategic purpose to the interaction. More specifically ... I HATE the player interaction in Terraformning Mars. ... just a random card you happen to be able to use at some random time.
Serious question, does Jason suffer from intellectual disability. Not trying to be rude just asking. If it is the case, I think it's great for Dice tower to have greater disability representation.

Tom: "Don't get me wrong, I love to stab people in the back " ... hilarious !!
Tom and Jason are so excited about this one that they need a separate video for each to talk :D

I just wish this expansion had more buildings. Seems like such a no brainer.

Audio is a bit strange on this one. Just mention because it's been good for a while now.
I think it might be Jason's mic that for some reason is sounding 'tinny' (which is also feeding slightly into Tom's voice)
Adding strong 'take that' elements in a heavy Euro, What a great idea. \s
Thanks for the detailed review, guys!
Does this work with Orleans Co-op invasion mode?
For my first playthrough I used the new Trade board! Better experience for all new commers

so when is the big box comming out? ;)
now
I'm buying it purely for the Intrigue part, sabotaging the opponent is what makes it fun :P
@Tom, did your other boxes of games arrive yet from the Germany?
I got an ad for Monopoly ultimate banking before this video. Not sure what it is trying to tell me

Thanks guys. I'll definitely passover Orleans.
Anyone know when this will get a US release?
Any idea when this game will be available in the US?

I like the mean stuff. I feel bad when i am not abble to mess up a little plans of my rivals in Euro games xD

que llevo en la maleta

Still no word on U.S. release, eh?
There's no "s" in Orleans
Any idea when they will stop having campaign adds playing prior to content?
As soon as you download Adblock Plus (or other adblockers, I use that one and it eliminates 100% of all commercials before and during the videos)
No reason to travel in the original game? Huh? What? 5 points for brocade, multipliers for the houses ....
Not a fan of the new video thumbnail. Too busy.
hate this new thumbnail

Bah. This game is already a table eater and this just makes it worse. More bloat for more of the same? No thanks!
Daniel Gallagher i thought new board replaces old one, and a deck of cards. Where is the bloat?
