I have been studying Japanese for years now and have visited Japan once in 2019 (oh how I miss the pre-pandemic era, haha) but I missed the daily settings in which to learn this kind of vocabulary and grammar. I rarely leave comments here on TH-cam but this channel is a hidden jem, keep up the good work Yuusuke san!

The painkillers sold in Japan generally have a lower dosage compared to my home country Finland. I was buying some pure ibuprofen (main ingredient also in Bufferin) in Japan and the highest mg I could find was around 150mg per pill. In Finland you can buy 400mg pills without a prescription. Good video as always!

Hi Yusuke san. I'm Serena from Singapore. I have been self studying Japanese since Dec 2016. Thank you so much for making such videos. I'm so happy that I chanced upon your videos only past few days! My Japanese is getting rusty due to covid19 situation. I am stuck after passing my jlpt n3 in Dec 2019 as they put the exam on hold. And I can feel my Japanese slowly deteriorating. Thanks for your practical way of helping me maintain my standard in listening and also gaining new knowledge of how to go about doing things in Japan. Hope travel can resume soon for Singapore and I can start visiting Japan soon.

Thank you for your time making these videos, it helps foreigners like me to practice learning Japanese a lot.
There's one thing if you can do that I think will improve the learning curve a lot, which is switching the position of your English sub and Japanese sub. I think it's more intuitive to look at the Japanese sub like you are watching a movie, and the English sub can be optional.

Super useful !! I hope you re-visit this idea sometime in the future. I'd like to see you buy drugs that Japanese people get before traveling to south-eastern Asian countries; the ones against bacterial infections. I heard they're super effective and would also like to know what are the pharmacists' recommendations as well. Bad experiences in India had me learn this lesson a bit too late.
Also, I hope other subscribers will chime in with what other drugs they'd like to see you purchase so you don't have to make an entire video just for one item. (honestly, I hope you don't do it if it comes to just my wish; I totally understand the hustle behind video editing and especially the subtitles !!!)
    Thanks a lot !!!

These videos are fantastic for hearing everyday conversations! If I could make a suggestion, perhaps you could add the English subtitles to the TH-cam closed caption. That way, if a learner wants to practice quickly reading Japanese, they can turn the English closed captions off. But if they'd like an easier time understanding the Japanese being spoken directly they can turn them on! :) Just a suggestion though! Love the videos :)

We get to enjoy these excellent teaching videos for FREE! Yuusuke-san is a salaryman in Japan likely working longer hours than most of the people watching this video. He makes these videos in his spare time. I hope everyone understands this.

this is a great video and resource, thank you! I have one suggestion - if you soft coded the subs (with the CC option) instead of hard subbing the video, maybe that’d be a good tool for people who don’t want to view the english right away? my eye tends to drift toward the english even if I’m trying to follow the Japanese 😅

I know what you mean. But I want to put the text anywhere on the screen in any size I want it to be.
And I believe that checking two languages at once, your native language and the language you are learning, is the right way for us to learn.
I would appreciate it if you could understand my point of view.
      Thank you.😊

@@moshimoshi.yusuke Not to go against your way of doing things, but I'd like the point out that subtitles' size (and color) can be changed by users in their google account settings. I believe putting the English subtitles as CC is the best of both words because it allows people who get distracted by it to turn it off. Thanks for your upload, your videos are very helpful and informative.
