I respect the list C Jay. I would say AMW or Death Certificate would be at the top spot for my list but Laugh Now, Cry Later has tons of bangers on there. The best soundtrack for Cube is Friday hands down. Cube’s sleeper movie is XXX - State of the Union truly dope movie. Great list
I like cube as xxx than vin diesel and I rock with vin but that second movie was better in my opinion an the movie anaconda is my sleeper movie for cube
Number 1 for me is AMW! I say this because if you look at all the pressure on him to make a dope solo album. The album received 5 mics, if I'm not mistaken, and broke first week record sales at the time. The death certificate would be number 2 for me. My summer vacation is one of the top ten rap songs ever created. A movie could be made off the lyrics alone.

Its the first cassette album i ever brought. I remember I went out and brought it right after reading the SPIN Magazine article with him on the cover (I had never heard of him, and didn't care about NWA). I was a huge fan of Public Enemy, so he mentioned how the Bomb Squad would be producing his solo effort I was damn intrigued!! Boy, that shiiiiii did not dissappoint!! Cause i was blown away.

I’m not going to lie, when I saw Death Certificate at number two and LNCL at number one, I yelled out “hell no!!” at the tv lol. It’s a good album but no way in hell is that his best work. It’s number 4 at best behind DC, AMW, and Predator. I place it above Lethal Injection which I’d put at number 5. I appreciate the curve ball 😂

When I bought Death Certificate in 91 No Vaseline wasn't on the tracklist.Jerry got a court injunction or something. However was fortunate enough to visit the USA and purchased the cassette album. This man inspired me so much at the time my first born the year later is named after him. Peace from the UK 👍🏿🇬🇧

Respectable list. I haven't listened to Laugh Now, Cry Later yet so I can't comment on that, might listen to it pretty soon. I agree with Ice Cube being underappreciated, he does get his flowers here and there but I don't he gets enough credit. It's been a while since I listened to a Ice Cube album (from start to finish) so I might need to do some relistening but I'd say my top 3 is:

Y’all put Death Certificate at #2?!! What kind of list is this?!! Death Certificate is the greatest hip hop album of all time. Not of his catalog…of all time! That LP literally changed my life. I would put Laugh Now Cry Later at #4 after Predator. It’s a great album but Songs like the Lil’ Jon feature hurt the LP. Matter of fact, this list hurt my feelings as a hip hop fan. I was riding with you until right before the end.

It's an EP and not a complete album & that's why it wasn't included. I loved Bootleges & and B-sides, but I realized it's a compilation album, but it was the first album I ever bought with my own money, so it's special to me.

Appreciate this list, and the love shown to Laugh Now, Cry Later, a real gem from the second part of Cube's rap career, which mostly gets dismissed, because most stopped checking for him after those wack War & Peace albums. Anyhow, no way is Laugh Now number one in his catalogue. That's either AMW or Death Certificate, two of the most important albums in hip hop history. No real beef with the rest of the order here, except I'd put Raw Footage above those War & Peace albums and Everythangs Corrupt. Raw Footage is a strong 4 mic album in my book.

I was shocked to see LNCL as 1 but it is my favorite recent Cube album. I personally have Death Certificate as 1 but not mad at this. Boyz In The Hood barely edges Friday for top Soundtrack and my favorite movie of his without stating the obvious ones is.....Higher Learning

He has the best album run in hip hop. From Straight Outta, his solo albums, work with Westside Connection and even Da Lench Mob that he had a lot to do with.
Laugh Now Cry later has some brilliant songs, but I can't have it being higher than Death Cert and Predator.
You criticize War and Peace Vol 1 for its lack of content but it has more content than Vol 2. And is a better album with better and more highs. I feel like with your comment about Everythang's Corrupt being one of his highest critically rated albums that you've just gone to Metacritic that isn't a good measure for an artist from the '80s.

AMW is number one for me. The immense pressure he was under after leaving NWA after everybody said he was crazy for leaving the group and to drop a masterpiece right out of the gate. The only album that could possibly be over AMW is DC. I’ve been involved in countless debates over which is better between the two. His other albums aren’t even in the same league as his first two or the Kill At Will EP.

I’m not going to disagree or agree wit the list until I start listening to some Cube albums, Scratching my head, I loved that Friday Soundtrack the best, my homie produced on them pills for the everything’s Corrupt album, I say between underrated movies I say Higher learning and Three Kings
When it comes to soundtracks involving Ice Cube, nothing beats "Trespass". Lots of great tracks from some of the dopest names in the business at the time, and several of the tracks weren't readily available anywhere else. It ranks at the very top of my personal list of hip-hop soundtracks.
What an awesome B-movie from terrible early 90s! I remember watching it on a Greyhound bus to Maine. I cant believe I miss that era.

Sleeper movie with Ice Cube. It has to be Three Kings alongside George Clooney and Mark Walberg in the late 90s. A gold heist set against the backdrop of the Iraq War, I saw that movie in the cinema. Ice Cube was bona fide Hollywood. Another one is "Trepass" (formerly Looters) with Ice-T. History making after their breakout roles in Boyz n' Da Hood and New Jack City respectively. I'm not surprised 2Pac had them both on his track "Last Wordz" in 1993. Pure 🔥
