Absolutely, the most frustrating part is watching through all the steps and chatter just for him to say at the last minute it can only be done during certain times.
Technician's "Faraday Field" makes you immune to Hunter disruptions while standing within 5m of your deployed skills, like a Hive for example. So, having Faraday Field guard you while Hunters spawn will protect you from the Hunter's spawn disruption effect, letting you just CC them to death the second they exist.
@@sevinweatherman3383 Technician is one of the end-game Specializations. I think Technician is one you have to buy with real money, though? It's been a while, I'm not sure... Once you've got the Technician specialization equipped, you have to play with them for a bit to earn some Technician points. Maybe 5 or 10? Then you can go back to the Specializations table and spend them to unlock the Faraday Field talent for the Technician, which is found in the bottom-right section.
@@knellhurstyou can have all specializations, just that you can choose to just buy it instantly as you would otherwise need to do several challenges to unlock the specializations.
In regards to the Neurotic Mask, if you don't hear the bell toll after you activate the switches then you didn't do it in between the right times. 1st location: 0530-700, 2nd location: 0700 - 1800, 3rd location: after 2100. Those are in hours in your game clock.
My guy what time in between each switch do we have to click because it’s not working so I click the first one at 06:38 so y’all need to say what time to click the switches
Something fuckey going on with this one. Did the first one between 05:30 and 7:00 but wondered why i didn't hear the bell. Figured I just didn't hear it because of the youtube video that was playing in the background. Did the second after 7:00, heard it this time (i paused the video). Waited all the way until after 21:00 and shot the box, heard the bell, but no hunter showed. Glad I stood around for a good long while waiting for nothing
NOTE: for angel mask, if you fast travel to a dark zone check point, it puts you in a new server and it resets the count of eyes you have. I believe that’s why some of you are having problems activating certain ones.
If you are soloing these like I did. Don’t be scared of them. Get special ammo on both of your weapons and stand about 20 feet away from where they spawn. Start shooting them with that special ammo as soon as they spawn and it will prevent them from doing anything. They fold like wet 1 ply. Your welcome.

Last 4 masks are so un-necessarily tedious to get. Turn on this Monitor Shoot 4 Starts on Christmas Trees Get a key from a present box Turn on a generator Shoot 12 targets in 12 different buildings at different time periods Turn on the Generator again Die by the hunters? Do the whole thing over again. ._.
Bro I did all of that they spawned I ran back to cover they didn't chase and disappeared 🤦🏾♂️ I'll try again this weekend because it takes forever to do

Yeah... even though I did it on the first try (on Hard), one of them seems to have despawned right away. Now, I can't even turn on the monitor anymore and it is the *very last* mask that I'm still missing of all the Hunters (Trip mask). Yay!
Damn just watching the last 4 hunters was like reading calculus in my head, the lengths u have to do to get them is far beyond my comprehension my nose was bleeding the whole damn time. Still cool that the people were able to find this kudos to them!
yep... it literally takes 2~3 hours just to set this up, and if you fail to kill them, you have to do it all over again. I wish they made it so that, once you solve the puzzle once, you just need to trigger the last step to try again, maybe after 24 hours. i'll be ok with that... but to 1. find the computer and switch it on, 2. find three xmas three, 3. turn on the generator, 4. hit 6 targets between 2100-0500, 5. wait entire hour, and hit rest 6 targets between 0700-1800, 6. then turn on the generator again, and immediately get killed, and back to square one.
@@hukumongdu Yeah, the last one is more than a little stupid. I dropped the first two, took cover for an armor kit and got a pot shot literally *right* before the kit applied. Yay, I get to START ALL OVER. If it wasn't for the Hunter-Killer, this would go on the list of unnecessarily stupid and complicated things I won't bother with again.
I got really lucky with this in that I accepted a backup call and they said they're about to kill 4 hunters... I was like, 'okay'. If only I knew how much effort they went through to get to that point
A few tips. Don’t call for backup after the fight starts or he will disappear. If you want help invite someone right before the battle. Also you need to do it all at once. Going to the DZ door (don’t use it as a shortcut), helping someone, summit or anything that switches the “instance” you are in resets everything.
The divided mask in NYC. Use the fast travels. If you get caught up like I did by a supply drop with Rogues you have to reset and wait for another day in the game to do it. The Christmas ones, I think they are numbers 4 and 5 on here. Do that as a group. I would recommend 3. There are two hunters and they don't necessarily stick together. You need to keep moving because they can use every skill in the game. If they separate then one just disappears. You still get one mask but then you have to reset, wait another day and try to kill the one with the mask you don't have. Plus they can heal in the time it takes me to reload so having more players just makes it simple.
Still wish they just gave us a balaclava mask or ski mask, cuz I swear to god these bandannas and beanies just take away from my attempts to look like a hunter.
yeah, I was hoping something like the frogman hooded mask or something equivalent. Most of these mask was just textured reskin and only few of them look actually unique .
Adrian G I’m working on getting much better hunter outfits and balaclava underneath all hunter masks and the veil on the mask. Just the devs haven’t replied
This guide is ‘Golden’. I’ve found eyes, a few switches, some computers I’ve heard static here and there but there isn’t a cat in hells chance I’d have found any of these. Even following this guide, I’m struggling to see the targets at night and finish within the time frame. Thanks Skillz 👍🏽
@Sicsemperevellomortemtyrannis 7th The same thing happened to me when I spawned the 4 hunters from DC. I just wandered around the map for a little while and then came back to the spot where the hunters were supposed to be and the mask was just sitting there. Sometimes they run off and fight a resource convoy and die so the mask just stays there.

Mine was the fifth lion. It wouldn't let me interact with it. Went back and tried to get the lion eyes again and it only let me get three of the six, now I can't interact with the first lion, so I just logged out. This game is seriously irritating at times. Seems like bug after bug after bug.
@@Wopder13 yeah, most all the hunters will only spawn at night or at a specific time. You have to check the time in photo mode so you can't just bang them all out at once in a row

But no, even if you are the fastest person in the world and know every Hunter like the back of your hand, it‘s theoretically and practically impossible to do all of them in one night. Basically: No, you don’t have to do them in one run and dying to them doesn’t matter as long as it’s still nighttime. Each Hunter and their steps count individually.
Nice video, thanks. Some players have noted that the hunter does not spawn after the last lion. It’s true that spawning is an issue in Division 2. Some of those idiosyncratic characters will just not spawn. At times there is too much of a random factor of events happening or loot dropping. It can take months or a whole year of gameplay. Of course each player has their open style. But the Division 2 can be vey frustrating sometimes. It definitely needs constant maintenance.
I still need to get the last 4 masks but I easily got all the others (this video is super helpful). A couple of tips: 1. Run the reviver and pulse. The hunters cant hack these and they are handy in clutch moments 2. Always maintain your distance, be behind a cover and just snipe them. Dont go all Rambo on them, it will fire back. 3. MOST IMPORTANT - If there's a random activity, control point or group of enemies beside the hunter spawn point, dont clear them. They will all attack the hunter and the hunter just focuses on them, giving you a complete advantage. I used this to easily get the Drip+Psycho and Weirdo+Drama alone first try. Good luck agents !!!
Only gripe, is that you have bouncing around the map to much. I say, all mask in NY then do all the mask in DC, not switching between maps for each mask. Makes it quicker and less of a headache to follow the video. Great job on finding all of them, and huge thanks to all figuring out these long drawn out overkill ways to summon a mask.
I waited an entire hour and a half to do the neurotic mask. Did everything at the right times, and then spawned the hunter. He threw a single rogue stinger hive. Instantly I died. 10/10 would mask again
I like to use the EMP Jammer to disable the hunters skills with a max crit build, coyote mask, and Bullet King. Not having to reload allows you to keep pressure on the hunters. Disabling their skills brings it down to a gun battle.
Great video. Only critique i have is that I just hoped you let us know in the beginning of the mask farming if the mask steps can be done in the day or night instead waiting until step 5 to find out it can only be done after 2100. Great videos. Keep up the great work.
I just quit halfway through all of these, some of the masks aren't even that good I would of preferred these kinds of "puzzles" for the classic hunter outfits like the ones from D1 survival dlc cuz those hunters were actually cool
For a lot of us it isn't even about the masks; the Hunter-Killer vest you get from the locked cache is the only vest in the game with Perfect Intimidate.

Lmao. The hunter was no problem. My first time going for the angel mask a group of NPCs decided they wanted to start a fight with a group of Elites in the street right behind me as soon as the hunter spawns. When I say I almost chucked my mouse out the damn window I was so pissed. And even more triggered when I had to do the whole thing over including getting the lion eyes!
@@aintdatabic I learned the Hard Way that Fast Traveling to a DZ Checkpoint resets the map once you exit so I would get like 4 Lion Eyes and Fast Traveled to a Checkpoint to get closer to the other 2 eyes (Because my cps reset) and when I got to the Lion Statues and got to the 3rd statue I was so mad. The only reason I learned this was going for the Neurocratic (Screw spelling right) or Carbon mask don't remember and when I got the the Dark Hours Museum it didn't let me activate the terminal. So I went back to the Boxes to shoot and whaddya y'know they were reset. So I shot 'em again and didn't fast travel to the checkpoint and instead to a mission nearby and than it let me spawn the Hunter. TL;DR don't use DZ checkpoints as fast travels while doing Hunter Steps.
It may take up a skill slot, but always bring an emp item. I only managed to fight one however, but bringing and emp seems like a good idea if Hunters can also use SHD tech.

That's right, it's inside the building. So, you just go inside and check the panel and that panel is going to start the first part of the hunter spawn. We have to still get three more, okay. So the second is in judiciary square and what you want do is fast travel there. So, we are fast traveling to judiciary square and then we want to look for this garbage can. So we fast travel there cause it's in Judiciary Square and we will..... see the garbage can.... here is the garbage..... can. So we go to the garbage can...." little tip for the soloing the hunters, for heals use chem launcher and have a self revive just incase, headhunter perk with an MG will melt the hunters in seconds
Hey Skillz, I been watching your vids a few years now and this one in particular has been very handy for me as I just got around to do year 1 and 2 Hunter Masks a week or so ago. I have 1 key left to get and the 4 Hunters to fight in NY to get the 1 key and 4 masks and Im done. Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for this video it was a massive (no pun intended) help to me. IF YOU NEED to reset a hunter (like if you fail Drip & Psycho) just teleport INSIDE a DZ checkpoint then you can redo the prerequisite and in the oposit (like NBS said) if you shortcut via DZ by doing the prerequisites it will fail your hunt because it reset your session
Got back into the game, after a longish break, and recently finished off the DC Hunters. So, thought I'd start on the NYC Hunters. Have 5 now. This video is proving invaluable to finding the last ones I need. I did use it for Angel already and will be referring back to for the rest 🤘
Great video, but in my case so far, every single time I trigger a hunter, some random patrol shows up during the fight. Fighting a hunter is one thing, but then having an elite supply convoy show up during the fight makes it impossible.
this was a great video and I appreciate the time & effort it took for you to complete all of these, but I have some constructive criticism; If the mission doesn’t require you to do it at night, please for the visually impaired (such as myself) or just to make it easier on everyone please record these when it’s day time as it is much easier to navigate the map especially if you’re a new player. great video tho!

@@VWeezyO that makes sense. I managed to get almost all of them that are in the game, except for 3. On the NY hunters when you spawn in 4 at a time, I was fighting them for too long and i managed to kill one of them and then the other 3 disappeared into a cloud of smoke.
The absolute joys or getting all 6 lion eyes almost killing the hunter then the hunter dropping a flame turret and stinger give at the same time wiping you... Now I have to collect all 6 eyes again.....
Thanks for the great video. It helped my friends and I get all the hunter masks. We only got 3 masks from the Lucky/Viel/Trip/Paranoid fight, but at least they dropped the bloody key so I could get my black dye. Thanks to TU10 updates, even on Heroic, the hunters are now like shooting any other red mob in the game LOL I am going to guess, though, that since we did the 4-mask fight we are SOL on the last mask since we can;t trigger the hunter fight again.
@@gennarocresta7275 already tried many times with many friends. The devs have it set so that once you complete the hunt yourself masks never drop again even if you didn’t get one of them before.

Full red build with Pesti sitting at 110dmg combined with Banschee pulse or jammer pulse, glass cannon, viligance and its a cake making process with just wait the stacks do the job on them. can also add that i choose to run Normal mode just to pick these off faster and smother. :D great guide man.. i followed the other one with DC mask and got them all back then. today i start to run this aswell just to get full wall with the stuffs. :D ps; the times i do fale the attacks i just loggout and redo all the stuffs prior tothe hunter spawn and go at them again. Not needed to pick a friends host just to get them. On DC masks i did the same but the 4 with cristmas tree i joined a matchmake sesh on a mission and everyone left me there alone after that was cleard so i went to kill me 4 hunters in that agent sesh. :D
Just did today Drip and Psycho hunters, and I wiped (solo) after killing Drip. Went back to the washing machine 23 and it let me reset the whole chain, and I could respawn the hunters. Second time I managed to kill them both. I did this during day time, and solo. Did not have to reset map, or log out. Tyvm for the video !!!
Went for the Angel mask, i see the smoke and hunter appear, i get ready then 5 guys spawn right on me and before i could blink, i was dead... Don't stay near the last statue when you activate it, it's not safe :)
You collect all the flags for the Divide mask in the day time. As long as you just activate the generator at the end at night the hunter will still appear.
I did exactly what you did when going for drip & psycho mask. Once I came into the room with the dead body, I couldn't do anything with it. Awesome video btw

4:52 - that alarm sound for iPhone 😂. It’s the same tone I have to wake up to. I hate it so much haha. Great video. I may try this but I agree with the comments suggesting that these discoveries came from leaks. I picked up 3 pairs of Lion Eyes just from roaming & their use was a mystery to me. I wonder if, when you hover over your items in inventory, whether it gives you hints or information on Lion Eyes.
A good one if people have an issue with controlling the hunters and such have 1 or 2 guys with scorpio since it can shock them and we did that with all the hunters when helping returning players now, so if you want to keep the hunters in check and take them down quickly 1 or 2 with scorpio depending on how many hunters you are fighting.
Disclaimer: If you haven’t at least reached level 40 with good gear and weapons DO NOT try this- if the Hunter kills you, you have to start ALL OVER AGAIN!

Excellent video. Was able to get all 13 masks solo, in a day, in Normal difficulty. Went with DPS build. Using Scorpio and Banshee pulse to disorient hunters. also got 12 masks for ivory key in a day using your other video. Thanks
My neurotic hunter is bugged. He spawns. Throws his stinger hive. Despawns. I don’t have a sniper build to take him out instantly since he despawns within 20 seconds.
first of all, thank you for your clips :) they made my game rich and interesting now :) I have a noob question although, because it IS very possible, that I die during 4 hunters fight... do I have to start EVERYTHING from your clip since 41:39 again? and other question... does it have to be done in one chain of actions? can I do something, wait an in-game day or two etc? (the first question is the most important, because probably I will die :D)
I just spent nearly 10-11 hours with clanmates getting these 13 hunter masks. Luckily, we didn’t die. However, I believe these hunters are like the first 12 DC hunters. If you die, they will not spawn if you try again right after you respawn yourself. You can join someone else’s world and try again and they should spawn. For me, I would log out, log back in, and spawns worked again that way too. As far as having to so the whole thing again? I can’t say, but I recommend visual cues to see if you have a full restart or not. Example, if you die, are the 4 Christmas trees still lit? If yes, I would continue from there. If not, well...yea. Splitting up by time seems to work ok. We did Christmas trees one night. Then day came. Used the day to scout all the target locations to make a speedier run through. Night came, did 6 buildings. Did a few activities throughout the night until 7:00a and finished other 6 buildings. All worked fine. Only thing I know that can mess up your progress is FT to Dark Zone. This reset Lion Eyes back to their fridges for me.
I finally finished the last one today. I spent the last few months finishing expertise then I spent a couple hours the last month or so first doing the base game hunters then finally I finished wony hunters. Now I just have the raids and the incursion and I have everything. Ah and level 100 ascent I always just farm then repeat and never finish it. The guides for all the hunters helped me a ton I did them all solo and most of the single hunters on heroic and the multiple hunters on normal. Talk about time consuming.
Ik im late but if ur tryna do this solo I wouldn’t recommend unless your a mega sweat bc you will just rage, I have the difficulty on normal using 4 piece striker with 3 blue cores using St Elmo’s and they still annihilate you. It’s doable solo just very annoying when you die because you have to restart the process and wait till a certain time to even be able to do it. My advice go for these with a group or duo or if you have min-maxed gear as a solo. I dont have maxed gear but have dps so it’s doable but just difficult alone. Beware they will spam abilities and heal while they disrupt you from using yours 24/7 gl.

Yo Skillz i was trying some of these earlier and lost out on the wierdo and drama cuz i got killed by them and when I went to try again i couldnt cuz it was too late but i went to bed and i dreamt i was chasing hunters with the help of a hunter. And i met midas and it was a female and the hunter that was helping me talked her into giving me the mask since i already had it and i hugged her and was like your my favorite yo it was crazy cool tho then i woke up my adrenaline was pumpin full throttle like it b in the game when they appear and your fighting them bro it was insane. I just had to share this.
How on God’s green Earth did anyone ever figure some of this stuff out?! It’s a challenge when you’re explicitly told exactly what to do. My mind is blown.

I have been taking down the hunters solo. year 1 is done so all i have left from Year 2 is the Trip, Lucky, Veil, Paranoid Mask. I use the Scorpio to take the hunters out with 3 piece Hunters fury or 3 piece patriot, Momento or a backpack with Perfect adrenaline rush , intimidate or Trama chest piece. The trick is to take them out as soon as they appear. Don't wait for them to set up camp so they can hit you with their skills. the Scorpion alone or with shock ammo will make them stagger. The Trama talent will blind them if you shoot them in the face and they will be a sitting duck for a few seconds. Don't use a drone, it will be hacked. you can use your shield after a certain amount of seconds has gone by but by then, in my case the hunter is dead. yes you will die a lot but observer where they appear and run over there and take them out.
I killed the 4 at my first try playing alone, Im not an skilled player but with the help of the nearest control point in my posesion was easy. The soldiers took them down meanwhile i hide like a cat. 😹
@Mave Gamer Same, just did the puzzle, got to the hunter and it one shot me with an invisible stinger hive. Like sub second downed and dead, that was only on hard. Oh and the hunter can somehow heal through getting pummeled with a Pestilence. Is there any real point to getting these hunter masks other than vanity items?
@@user-df6og4rv1q if y’all have been fast traveling to the DZ checkpoint that’s why. It resets the server you’re in and deletes all progress of you collecting the lion eyes, learned this the hard way
The first mask I had the luck, that a friendly patrol was around to help me. The second mask, no chance. He needed 2 bullets and I was dead. Really, such tasks doesn't make sense when you don't have any chance to win it. Nice video but sadly not possible for a single player.
Thomas Götting it’s definitely possible for a solo player. I ran coyotes mask, 3pc prov, 1pc sokolov, 1pc grupo, dark winter, and bakers dozen. I was able to complete all of them, only two of them I had AIs. Just play smart

Took me a while until I found my own recipe: conquer all controll points from Constitution Hall, they have caches nearby with flaming ammo or explosive; use imperial dinasty holster to burn the mofo when I aproach him, Scorpio shotgun loaded with flaming ammo and stinger hive. Stunlocked the bastard, couldn't move or heal with all the bleed, fire and other debufs from the Scorpio. Worth the effort to chase that special ammo cases, they stay in inventory when you fast travel. Just don't die or load another preset. I know I haven't discovered the fire or the wheel, but it might help. Good luck!

Technician's "Faraday Field" makes you immune to Hunter disruptions while standing within 5m of your deployed skills, like a Hive for example. So, having Faraday Field guard you while Hunters spawn will protect you from the Hunter's spawn disruption effect, letting you just CC them to death the second they exist.

@@sevinweatherman3383 Technician is one of the end-game Specializations. I think Technician is one you have to buy with real money, though? It's been a while, I'm not sure...
Once you've got the Technician specialization equipped, you have to play with them for a bit to earn some Technician points. Maybe 5 or 10? Then you can go back to the Specializations table and spend them to unlock the Faraday Field talent for the Technician, which is found in the bottom-right section.

In regards to the Neurotic Mask, if you don't hear the bell toll after you activate the switches then you didn't do it in between the right times. 1st location: 0530-700, 2nd location: 0700 - 1800, 3rd location: after 2100. Those are in hours in your game clock.

Something fuckey going on with this one. Did the first one between 05:30 and 7:00 but wondered why i didn't hear the bell. Figured I just didn't hear it because of the youtube video that was playing in the background. Did the second after 7:00, heard it this time (i paused the video). NOTE: for angel mask, if you fast travel to a dark zone check point, it puts you in a new server and it resets the count of eyes you have. I believe that’s why some of you are having problems activating certain ones.

If you are soloing these like I did. Don’t be scared of them. Get special ammo on both of your weapons and stand about 20 feet away from where they spawn. Start shooting them with that special ammo as soon as they spawn and it will prevent them from doing anything. They fold like wet 1 ply. Your welcome.

Yeah I did this one today and it honestly sucked took me like 2 hours to finish.
Yeah... even though I did it on the first try (on Hard), one of them seems to have despawned right away.
Now, I can't even turn on the monitor anymore and it is the *very last* mask that I'm still missing of all the Hunters (Trip mask). Yay!
Damn just watching the last 4 hunters was like reading calculus in my head, the lengths u have to do to get them is far beyond my comprehension my nose was bleeding the whole damn time. Still cool that the people were able to find this kudos to them!

yep... it literally takes 2~3 hours just to set this up, and if you fail to kill them, you have to do it all over again. I wish they made it so that, once you solve the puzzle once, you just need to trigger the last step to try again, maybe after 24 hours. i'll be ok with that... but to 1. find the computer and switch it on, 2. find three xmas three, 3. turn on the generator, 4. hit 6 targets between 2100-0500, 5. wait entire hour, and hit rest 6 targets between 0700-1800, 6. then turn on the generator again, and immediately get killed, and back to square one.
I was fine up until i got the the first set of targets....ran out of time cuz its not easy following along with those directions.
@@hukumongdu Yeah, the last one is more than a little stupid. I dropped the first two, took cover for an armor kit and got a pot shot literally *right* before the kit applied. Yay, I get to START ALL OVER. If it wasn't for the Hunter-Killer, this would go on the list of unnecessarily stupid and complicated things I won't bother with again.
I got really lucky with this in that I accepted a backup call and they said they're about to kill 4 hunters... I was like, 'okay'. If only I knew how much effort they went through to get to that point

A few tips. Don’t call for backup after the fight starts or he will disappear. If you want help invite someone right before the battle. Also you need to do it all at once. Going to the DZ door (don’t use it as a shortcut), helping someone, summit or anything that switches the “instance” you are in resets everything.
The divided mask in NYC. Use the fast travels. If you get caught up like I did by a supply drop with Rogues you have to reset and wait for another day in the game to do it. The Christmas ones, I think they are numbers 4 and 5 on here. Do that as a group. I would recommend 3. There are two hunters and they don't necessarily stick together. You need to keep moving because they can use every skill in the game. If they separate then one just disappears. You still get one mask but then you have to reset, wait another day and try to kill the one with the mask you don't have. Plus they can heal in the time it takes me to reload so having more players just makes it simple.
Still wish they just gave us a balaclava mask or ski mask, cuz I swear to god these bandannas and beanies just take away from my attempts to look like a hunter.

This guide is ‘Golden’. I’ve found eyes, a few switches, some computers I’ve heard static here and there but there isn’t a cat in hells chance I’d have found any of these. Even following this guide, I’m struggling to see the targets at night and finish within the time frame. Thanks Skillz 👍🏽

@Sicsemperevellomortemtyrannis 7th The same thing happened to me when I spawned the 4 hunters from DC. I just wandered around the map for a little while and then came back to the spot where the hunters were supposed to be and the mask was just sitting there. Sometimes they run off and fight a resource convoy and die so the mask just stays there.

Mine was the fifth lion. It wouldn't let me interact with it. Went back and tried to get the lion eyes again and it only let me get three of the six, now I can't interact with the first lion, so I just logged out. This game is seriously irritating at times. Seems like bug after bug after bug.

@@Wopder13 yeah, most all the hunters will only spawn at night or at a specific time. You have to check the time in photo mode so you can't just bang them all out at once in a row

The steps? Depends on the Hunter. But no, even if you are the fastest person in the world and know every Hunter like the back of your hand, it‘s theoretically and practically impossible to do all of them in one night.
Basically: No, you don’t have to do them in one run and dying to them doesn’t matter as long as it’s still nighttime. Each Hunter and their steps count individually.

Nice video, thanks. Some players have noted that the hunter does not spawn after the last lion. It’s true that spawning is an issue in Division 2. Some of those idiosyncratic characters will just not spawn. At times there is too much of a random factor of events happening or loot dropping. It can take months or a whole year of gameplay. Of course each player has their open style. But the Division 2 can be vey frustrating sometimes. It definitely needs constant maintenance.
I still need to get the last 4 masks but I easily got all the others (this video is super helpful).
A couple of tips:
1. Run the reviver and pulse. The hunters cant hack these and they are handy in clutch moments
2. Always maintain your distance, be behind a cover and just snipe them. Dont go all Rambo on them, it will fire back.
3. MOST IMPORTANT - If there's a random activity, control point or group of enemies beside the hunter spawn point, dont clear them. They will all attack the hunter and the hunter just focuses on them, giving you a complete advantage. I used this to easily get the Drip+Psycho and Weirdo+Drama alone first try.

Only gripe, is that you have bouncing around the map to much. I say, all mask in NY then do all the mask in DC, not switching between maps for each mask. Makes it quicker and less of a headache to follow the video. Great job on finding all of them, and huge thanks to all figuring out these long drawn out overkill ways to summon a mask.

I like to use the EMP Jammer to disable the hunters skills with a max crit build, coyote mask, and Bullet King. Not having to reload allows you to keep pressure on the hunters. Disabling their skills brings it down to a gun battle.
Great video. Only critique i have is that I just hoped you let us know in the beginning of the mask farming if the mask steps can be done in the day or night instead waiting until step 5 to find out it can only be done after 2100. Great videos. Keep up the great work.

I just quit halfway through all of these, some of the masks aren't even that good I would of preferred these kinds of "puzzles" for the classic hunter outfits like the ones from D1 survival dlc cuz those hunters were actually cool
For a lot of us it isn't even about the masks; the Hunter-Killer vest you get from the locked cache is the only vest in the game with Perfect Intimidate.

Turns out you can beat the Drip and Psycho by yourself, you just need an overpowered Diamondback and resource convoy of civilians nearby...
Scorpio Shotgun is also recommended. Just be sure you have a secondary that does a lot of damage to finish off the Hunter you were shooting
Lmao. The hunter was no problem. My first time going for the angel mask a group of NPCs decided they wanted to start a fight with a group of Elites in the street right behind me as soon as the hunter spawns. When I say I almost chucked my mouse out the damn window I was so pissed. And even more triggered when I had to do the whole thing over including getting the lion eyes!
@@aintdatabic I learned the Hard Way that Fast Traveling to a DZ Checkpoint resets the map once you exit so I would get like 4 Lion Eyes and Fast Traveled to a Checkpoint to get closer to the other 2 eyes (Because my cps reset) and when I got to the Lion Statues and got to the 3rd statue I was so mad.
The only reason I learned this was going for the Neurocratic (Screw spelling right) or Carbon mask don't remember and when I got the the Dark Hours Museum it didn't let me activate the terminal. So I went back to the Boxes to shoot and whaddya y'know they were reset. So I shot 'em again and didn't fast travel to the checkpoint and instead to a mission nearby and than it let me spawn the Hunter.
TL;DR don't use DZ checkpoints as fast travels while doing Hunter Steps.

little tip for the soloing the hunters, for heals use chem launcher and have a self revive just incase, headhunter perk with an MG will melt the hunters in seconds

I have 1 key left to get and the 4 Hunters to fight in NY to get the 1 key and 4 masks and Im done. Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for this video it was a massive (no pun intended) help to me. I hated doing the last one- beware!, you will get interrupted EVERYTIME when trying to get the targets down before 0530. Such a pain in the ass.

IF YOU NEED to reset a hunter (like if you fail Drip & Psycho) just teleport INSIDE a DZ checkpoint then you can redo the prerequisite and in the oposit (like NBS said) if you shortcut via DZ by doing the prerequisites it will fail your hunt because it reset your session

Got back into the game, after a longish break, and recently finished off the DC Hunters. So, thought I'd start on the NYC Hunters. Have 5 now. This video is proving invaluable to finding the last ones I need. I did use it for Angel already and will be referring back to for the rest 🤘
Great video, but in my case so far, every single time I trigger a hunter, some random patrol shows up during the fight. Fighting a hunter is one thing, but then having an elite supply convoy show up during the fight makes it impossible.
This guide has helped immensely even if it's pretty old. I have taken down every hunter in the game except the final 4 in new york. Wish me luck.

@@VWeezyO that makes sense. I managed to get almost all of them that are in the game, except for 3. On the NY hunters when you spawn in 4 at a time, I was fighting them for too long and i managed to kill one of them and then the other 3 disappeared into a cloud of smoke.
The absolute joys or getting all 6 lion eyes almost killing the hunter then the hunter dropping a flame turret and stinger give at the same time wiping you... Now I have to collect all 6 eyes again.....

Thanks for the great video. It helped my friends and I get all the hunter masks. We only got 3 masks from the Lucky/Viel/Trip/Paranoid fight, but at least they dropped the bloody key so I could get my black dye. Thanks to TU10 updates, even on Heroic, the hunters are now like shooting any other red mob in the game LOL I am going to guess, though, that since we did the 4-mask fight we are SOL on the last mask since we can;t trigger the hunter fight again.

Full red build with Pesti sitting at 110dmg combined with Banschee pulse or jammer pulse, glass cannon, viligance and its a cake making process with just wait the stacks do the job on them. can also add that i choose to run Normal mode just to pick these off faster and smother. :D

ps; the times i do fale the attacks i just loggout and redo all the stuffs prior tothe hunter spawn and go at them again. Not needed to pick a friends host just to get them. On DC masks i did the same but the 4 with cristmas tree i joined a matchmake sesh on a mission and everyone left me there alone after that was cleard so i went to kill me 4 hunters in that agent sesh. :D

Just did today Drip and Psycho hunters, and I wiped (solo) after killing Drip. Went back to the washing machine 23 and it let me reset the whole chain, and I could respawn the hunters. Second time I managed to kill them both. I did this during day time, and solo. Did not have to reset map, or log out. Tyvm for the video !!!
Went for the Angel mask, i see the smoke and hunter appear, i get ready then 5 guys spawn right on me and before i could blink, i was dead... Don't stay near the last statue when you activate it, it's not safe :)
You collect all the flags for the Divide mask in the day time. As long as you just activate the generator at the end at night the hunter will still appear.
I did exactly what you did when going for drip & psycho mask. Once I came into the room with the dead body, I couldn't do anything with it. Awesome video btw

Apparently the statues are on a timer, if you dont spin them fast as possible theyll all reset and you have to collect the eyes all over again
4:52 - that alarm sound for iPhone 😂. It’s the same tone I have to wake up to. I hate it so much haha. Great video. I may try this but I agree with the comments suggesting that these discoveries came from leaks. I picked up 3 pairs of Lion Eyes just from roaming & their use was a mystery to me. I wonder if, when you hover over your items in inventory, whether it gives you hints or information on Lion Eyes.
A good one if people have an issue with controlling the hunters and such have 1 or 2 guys with scorpio since it can shock them and we did that with all the hunters when helping returning players now, so if you want to keep the hunters in check and take them down quickly 1 or 2 with scorpio depending on how many hunters you are fighting.

Excellent video. Was able to get all 13 masks solo, in a day, in Normal difficulty. Went with DPS build. Using Scorpio and Banshee pulse to disorient hunters. also got 12 masks for ivory key in a day using your other video. Thanks
The divide mask had the one of the coolest intro for the hunter, very nice
My neurotic hunter is bugged.
He spawns. Throws his stinger hive.
Despawns. I don’t have a sniper build to take him out instantly since he despawns within 20 seconds.

first of all, thank you for your clips :) they made my game rich and interesting now :) I have a noob question although, because it IS very possible, that I die during 4 hunters fight... do I have to start EVERYTHING from your clip since 41:39 again? and other question... does it have to be done in one chain of actions? can I do something, wait an in-game day or two etc? (the first question is the most important, because probably I will die :D)

I just spent nearly 10-11 hours with clanmates getting these 13 hunter masks. Luckily, we didn’t die. However, I believe these hunters are like the first 12 DC hunters. If you die, they will not spawn if you try again right after you respawn yourself. You can join someone else’s world and try again and they should spawn. For me, I would log out, log back in, and spawns worked again that way too.
As far as having to so the whole thing again? I can’t say, but I recommend visual cues to see if you have a full restart or not. Example, if you die, are the 4 Christmas trees still lit? If yes, I would continue from there. If not, well...yea.
Splitting up by time seems to work ok. We did Christmas trees one night. Then day came. Used the day to scout all the target locations to make a speedier run through. Night came, did 6 buildings. Did a few activities throughout the night until 7:00a and finished other 6 buildings. All worked fine. Only thing I know that can mess up your progress is FT to Dark Zone. This reset Lion Eyes back to their fridges for me.
Is what you get from these actually worth all the hassle or is it just for more vanity items?
the gear you get is no better than any open world enemy, only the vanity items separate the rewards
All black gear dye is pretty nice
I finally finished the last one today. I spent the last few months finishing expertise then I spent a couple hours the last month or so first doing the base game hunters then finally I finished wony hunters. Now I just have the raids and the incursion and I have everything. Ah and level 100 ascent I always just farm then repeat and never finish it.
The guides for all the hunters helped me a ton I did them all solo and most of the single hunters on heroic and the multiple hunters on normal. Talk about time consuming.
Ik im late but if ur tryna do this solo I wouldn’t recommend unless your a mega sweat bc you will just rage, I have the difficulty on normal using 4 piece striker with 3 blue cores using St Elmo’s and they still annihilate you. It’s doable solo just very annoying when you die because you have to restart the process and wait till a certain time to even be able to do it. My advice go for these with a group or duo or if you have min-maxed gear as a solo. I dont have maxed gear but have dps so it’s doable but just difficult alone. Beware they will spam abilities and heal while they disrupt you from using yours 24/7 gl.

Yo Skillz i was trying some of these earlier and lost out on the wierdo and drama cuz i got killed by them and when I went to try again i couldnt cuz it was too late but i went to bed and i dreamt i was chasing hunters with the help of a hunter. And i met midas and it was a female and the hunter that was helping me talked her into giving me the mask since i already had it and i hugged her and was like your my favorite yo it was crazy cool tho then i woke up my adrenaline was pumpin full throttle like it b in the game when they appear and your fighting them bro it was insane. I just had to share this.
How on God’s green Earth did anyone ever figure some of this stuff out?! It’s a challenge when you’re explicitly told exactly what to do. My mind is blown.

I have been taking down the hunters solo. year 1 is done so all i have left from Year 2 is the Trip, Lucky, Veil, Paranoid Mask. I use the Scorpio to take the hunters out with 3 piece Hunters fury or 3 piece patriot, Momento or a backpack with Perfect adrenaline rush , intimidate or Trama chest piece. The trick is to take them out as soon as they appear. Don't wait for them to set up camp so they can hit you with their skills. the Scorpion alone or with shock ammo will make them stagger. The Trama talent will blind them if you shoot them in the face and they will be a sitting duck for a few seconds. Don't use a drone, it will be hacked. you can use your shield after a certain amount of seconds has gone by but by then, in my case the hunter is dead. yes you will die a lot but observer where they appear and run over there and take them out.

I killed the 4 at my first try playing alone, Im not an skilled player but with the help of the nearest control point in my posesion was easy. The soldiers took them down meanwhile i hide like a cat. 😹

@Mave Gamer Same, just did the puzzle, got to the hunter and it one shot me with an invisible stinger hive. Like sub second downed and dead, that was only on hard. Oh and the hunter can somehow heal through getting pummeled with a Pestilence. Is there any real point to getting these hunter masks other than vanity items?

@@user-df6og4rv1q if y’all have been fast traveling to the DZ checkpoint that’s why. It resets the server you’re in and deletes all progress of you collecting the lion eyes, learned this the hard way

The first mask I had the luck, that a friendly patrol was around to help me. The second mask, no chance. He needed 2 bullets and I was dead. Really, such tasks doesn't make sense when you don't have any chance to win it. Nice video but sadly not possible for a single player.
Thomas Götting it’s definitely possible for a solo player. I ran coyotes mask, 3pc prov, 1pc sokolov, 1pc grupo, dark winter, and bakers dozen. I was able to complete all of them, only two of them I had AIs. Just play smart
I'm just finishing up the masks, all solo. I assure you, their quite doable solo. Whether you decide to put in the effort required, that's up to you.
yeah, first hunter... i am in a tnak build and he killed me in 2 shots. and apparently I have to go get all 6 lion eyes again to try again? This game can go f--- itself.

Thought I'd wait a while until all the hunters had been found then have a hunter day. Got side tracked , new raid came out , got both exotics and thought I'll have a hunter day today solo. Wtf lol some of these hunters are a grind with the stuff you gotta do to unlock them. Thanks for the vid though , it'll be a long day.
I managed to waste Angel eyes hunter on heroic. Took me a while until I found my own recipe: conquer all controll points from Constitution Hall, they have caches nearby with flaming ammo or explosive; use imperial dinasty holster to burn the mofo when I aproach him, Scorpio shotgun loaded with flaming ammo and stinger hive. Stunlocked the bastard, couldn't move or heal with all the bleed, fire and other debufs from the Scorpio. Worth the effort to chase that special ammo cases, they stay in inventory when you fast travel. Just don't die or load another preset. I know I haven't discovered the fire or the wheel, but it might help. Good luck!
