The first time i got to that area, i was devastated, depressed by the state of which the lords layed on the merchants, locked away, in madness, unable to die, unable to live.
This is probably my favourite theme in Elden Ring, I need to actually go to that area and experience it for myself :) There’s just something about it that keeps it in my head for hours after I listen to it or play it :D
After defeating mogh the omen for the first time i start going down and hear the song then i found the merchant i sat my character next to him i went and look for my violin and started playing alongside him
Songs like this hit harder when you’ve dealt with things like depression or anxiety in life. FromSoftware don’t shy away from showing true horror and travesty in their games and songs like this are ironically so comforting in these moments of despair and hopelessness, both in game and in our own lives. It provokes reflection of one’s own life experiences and offers a space to openly feel emotions that we otherwise shy away from.
Thank you for uploading this video and playing that song beautifully. When I first got to this area, I was so confused by the horror of so many dead bodies, yet a sense of calmness and soothing music coming from the nomadic merchant violin's was a very overwhelming mix of emotions. Ever since I heard this music, it has been stuck in my head. Definitely one, if not the top moment of the game for me. A similar feeling I got from hearing the "Song of Lament" from the chanting winged dames.
This is incredible when I first played elden ring I heard this piece and said I have to transcribe this I did and you did this the exact way that I did that's Incredible
So I'd gone and printed out the sheet music you provided, and showed it to my violin teacher. He decided to teach it to me! As a beginner still learning how to read music it's a fun challenge. 😂
I chose the frenzy ending as my first ending. Not to save Melina, or to melt away the curses and sins that festered the world, but because that’s where I ended up. After I’ve learned about it all, and reflected on what I saw when I went down the pit full of merchants, I would choose the frenzy ending all over again for another reason: burning it all away, like Kalé’s cut questline and the maiden’s quest wanted. In reflection with the DLC out, and thinking about Vyke, and seeing the Kalé questline, things change. It’s clear that some time near the shattering- either before or after - , the Great Caravan went through the streets of Leyndell where their wagons loaded with treasure were seized, those wagons littering the road when we arrive. They were marched down into the sewers and deep to where the phony mohg rested, and were cast into the pit with the maddening fingers. Many gave up and died, but even when we arrive some merchants hold onto their music and ->Endure
It is said that this song is played to calm the frenzy within the Merchant people. Their burning hated for the world, to see it all burn away is at the route of their being and nothing else now. No love, not remorse, no shame. It matters not. It'll all burn away in the end. ~Frenzy's lament
@zivkitis you have a ton of great content, I noticed you haven't uploaded for awhile it seems and your channel looks like it just needs a Lil extra flair to compliment your music, tbh if you added some extra channel art etc. I bet you'd get alot more attention 😁👍 if u wanted I could always consider creating art for you, if not myself I'm sure someone out there has the talent to assist in this music you've played and publicize it a bit more
It's a beautiful performance, really soothing Am a bit curious, how much time do you take constructing the music sheet for this kind of piece? And how much do you spend training on it before it sounds so spectacular?
Thank you very much! ❤ This particular piece is one of the simplest ones I’ve done, so it didn’t take me long - a day or two to hear all the little details in the original performance. On the other hand, Malenia took me a month of listening, practicing and transcribing to decide how I am going to translate it to solo violin and it was not an easy process 😅
The theme totally doesn't match what's happening when it plays, and I kind of love it. I feel most games would play something horrific / fear inducing for this scene, but elden ring chose a beautiful melody. I like it.
Incrivel!! Eu to tocando banstante violino ultimamente, e adorei quando descobri seu canal. Você saberia tocar outras músicas de elden ring no violino?
i really want to learn this... i'm currently designing a Elden Ring Merchant cosplay. the cosplay itself isn't to hard, just a lot of clothing to rag and some make up and dirt/ash but the backpack the tool they use and to actually learn how to play it.. kill me noaw.. XD i've also never played the violin.. so designing a unique one from scratch and also making it produce actual decent sound and then learning it.. got a long road ahead of me. but thats why i chose this cosplay ^^
This song always reminds me of all those who died because of the golden order making it a truthful justification for chaos to burn it all, the ultimate revenge from those who suffered at the hands of the golden order
I love Midir’s OST so much, it’s one of my favorite themes. I play it from time to time but always put off recording because I find it intimidating. Hope to do it soon! 🥰
“Do you see it? What they did to my people?”
"The whole clan buried alive.........Sick."😔
This song makes me just feel sad but still a little hope for the future
No I don"t see it Kale your content was cut my man 😭😂
If kalés quest wasnt cut off we all would go for frenzied flame ending no doubt
@@blackened5845 That's probably true X) You're right

@@kimovitch7 I finally went there recently and thankfully it had no lasting effects…yet :)
I'm using this song as practice as a total novice. Perfect for slow and careful bowing.
After defeating mogh the omen for the first time i start going down and hear the song then i found the merchant i sat my character next to him i went and look for my violin and started playing alongside him
I sure am lucky that this happened to be uploaded on my birthday.
Happy belated birthday!! All the best 🥳

You play beautifully.
Absolutely breathtaking.
Thank you very very much! 🥰
Still my absolute favorite music piece from the game. Masterful and beautifully played.
I just ordered myself a violin and this is the FIRST piece of music I am going to learn! 😁
Such a beautiful song for what is one of the darkest, cruellest moments in the entire game and potentially the whole franchise.
wait to see about the hornsent in the dlc
The (((merchants))) clearly had it coming. Just like in real life.

May Chaos TAKE!!! THE WORLD!!!!
I love how seamless this is to loop
Loved your performance, you inspired me to try this mixed with the wandering merchant song.
Only the ones who completed kalé's questline will cry to this
Okay okay okay. What were the chances that we uploaded less than 24 hours apart of the same piece?! 😂
That’s crazy.
This baffles me every time I think about it, what are the odds?? 😂
That is most unfortunate as he is dead, as for his flesh.

Be wary of sadness
therefore seek chaos
Beautiful piece. So moving. You knocked it out of the park. Fantastically done!
Thank you very much! I am so happy you like it 🥰
Please….A frenzied flame to melt away the curses, suffering, and despair.
You play it perfectly👏 I love the merchants theme.
A frenzied flame to burn away the curses, suffering, and despair. And the Order, entire.
Such a simple, yet beautiful tune! 😻
“If that’s what the expect from us,
THEN THAT IS WHAT THEY’LL GET FROM US!
… may chaos take the world.”
That was absolutely flawless. You absolutely killed it
This really makes my gut tingle
