Yes, Miracle Mud! First off can I say I love refugiums! Hang on backs. I swear by them. I've ran them on every one of my Nanos. I actually just ordered a new CPR medium (19") unit to put on my 20 gallon Nano that I'm upgading to this coming week. Also got some Miracle Mud. I really wanted to use Brightwell Aquatics Mangrove Substrat but no one carries it!! Cool video man, I like your personality. You're gonna love the Brightwell products! I used Quikcycl, Microbacter Start XLM and Xport Bio cubes to start my cycle. Worked great! I cycled in 17 days. My reef is banging now at 8 weeks. Looks like a show tank. That's all I run is Brightwell actually, love their line-up. I'm hopefully going to be starting a TH-cam channel myself on my tank I'll have to shoot you a link when I do!
Hey Scott, thanks for the comment. I'm glad to have found another Miracle Mud supporter! I can't wait to see the results over this coming year. That's strange about the Mangrove substrate. I wonder where you can even get it from? I guess you might have to email Brightwell directly! 17 days isn't bad at all for a cycle! Well, keep me informed if you start up a youtube channel! I always love looking at fellow hobbyists setups! Do you have an instagram? Mine is @myfirstfishtank. Happy Reefing and thanks again for watching!
@@MyFirstFishTank Awesome, I'll follow you. You actually just inspired me to start posting to my Instagram! Lol I have had one for years and never really used it. I will start! I just posted a few pics of my tank. Luckyduck84135 I'll add more as the days go on. I will for sure let you know when I start making videos. I may release a teaser soon if I can find the time.
Ok I see that you guys used this animal for refugium but what about with people like me who have a small tank like the fluval Evo 13.5 and which in the return compartment i put some rock do this critters will work on my tank?
Hey there and thanks for the comment. Yes, your idea would work great. You could seed your tank with pods, and also put some rubble rock in the rear filtration chamber as a safe breeding ground for pods as well!
Can’t say enough good things about reef nutrition. Bought a bad bottle from a LFS, the LFS wouldn’t refund me for it but i reached out to reef nutrition (reed mariculture) and they sent me a free replacement.
Yes and no. You do only need two gaskets if they are both loose. But one of the gaskets is already attached and you cant remove it from the black overflow box. So you need two more.
i feel like this is just too much just I have bacteria and biological filtration, my tank is very clear and i haven't done any water changes for 7months
Very informative. Love your videos.
Hey Jim, thanks so much! I really appreciate the positive feedback! Any topic in particular you want me to cover?
Cool vid there cheers 😃🤗😎👏
Thanks!
And use some Emery cloth around the edges of the hole
Interesting. What does that help with?
Riverside ! Downtown LA here 🙌🏻
heyo! Hello fellow socaler!
Great video!
Soft corals that spread like crazy such as gsp or xenia apparently can also be used in controlled "refugiums".
Pods pods pods!
Gotta love em'!

That ending 😂
Why isn't this a podcast on Spotify? Seems simple enough to set up and would be a lot more enjoyable than having TH-cam playing for 20+ minutes
