    Hi Terri
I just bought a 2007 Cooper with a few faults on it including blower and drivers window regulator - very helpful video and my first job will be the blower .thanks for your video and greetings from Ireland .. Paul

Thank you for the informative video. Getting ready to do a replacement myself on the motor and resistor if doesn’t come with one. Since there were no fault codes prior to you removing the seat and unplugging the air bag sensor you could have just disconnected the battery for Atleast 10mins. Then code is gone on most vehicles and not having to buy a code reader or scan tool.

Interesting point about disconnecting the battery. Thanks for sharing.
I also realized later that; I would not have gotten a fault had I reconnected the seat plug before turning the key on to test the new fan.

    Thanks for sharing.
Following your tip, I opened the filter door, reached in and hand spun the fan several times. Turned the key on and bingo!
We've had some very cold mornings recently and fogged up windows have become a real problem.
    Problem no more!
    Thanks again

I’ve seen some things online that say you have to disassemble the whole dash! Is it really this simple?

Yes, it is fairly easy, if you got good dexterity. Don’t assume that, just because Mini Coopers are compact cars, that removing the blower motor is a major job. The worst part for me, at 69 years old, was laying on my back and getting into a position where I was able to see.
