IMO, Mollie did love Ernest, and in a crazy blind way, she found it hard to accept his involvement in her family's murders. IMO, Ernest had feelings for Mollie, but his greed ran deeper than his love for her. It was such a sad story, but it shows how money, having it or not, can change people. In this case, it changed life for generations.
My mom, daughter and myself saw the movie last night. We thought the story was very well told. I’m sorry your family went through such tragedy and constant heartbreak. This should be known to all people and kept in history not to shame but to learn from the past so “we” can do better in the future.
I just saw the movie ( killers of the flower moon ) it broke my heart , human greed can do anything just for money. Feel sorry for the Osage people RiP👏from Albania
More than greed, it was racism that also led to this murders... I just watched the movie in France and I had no idea those events existed... We always talk about Black people but never about Natives.
@fairies47 Yes. Sadly, there were many injustices done to people of all backgrounds and races in this country. Black people, yes. But also Natives, the Jewish, Asians as well. There are many untold stories. 😢
Pretty pissed after seeing the movie. I’m disgusted what man can do for greed. With that, I’m thankful the movie was released. I would have never known.

the story that happened about this indigenous community. A reflection of human greed is a lack of humanity. Throughout the history of the Americas, many indigenous peoples were massacred, exterminated and their lands were invaded. To this day, in South America, indigenous communities are threatened because their land contains valuable minerals, timber or land invasions.
Our ppl will always learn the hard way. You see inter racial marriage is acceptable now. But we see it don’t work. TMH designed it that way. 2/3 of our ppl gotta go cause we stiff necked and don’t wanna stay with our own.
The movie made me angry. I’ve researched and I believe one of my family members died fighting against Payne when Payne raided to steal unoccupied allotments after the civil war.
So glad this movie was made. I have SO MUCH RESPECT AND SYMPATHY for Americas First Peoples in general. Their history should be/deserves to be more front and centre.
Yes it should be talked about. I for one do not believe their lives were less than anyone else's. They were certainly in 3:25 my eyes far above those that were doing them wrong. Without a doubt.... Such a shame what happened to these people....
Unlike the blanket racist statements made by some people, this story is exactly what your comment is. There are faces and names associated with those who personally enriched themselves at the expense of others and their families. People are still doing it today… victimizing others for financial gain and going all the way up to murder to do it.
@@Elizabeth-dw6lcI think you could argue that the Federal Government’s Native American policy played a huge role in Hale’s plan. Racist policies, like declaring the Osage incompetent, and making it so they had to have guardians to access their money, made it easy for people like Hale to take advantage of the system.
Amazing that mollies granddaughter is alive n well. Shows that even with the reign of terror the osage people still continue on.
They were given life in prison but paroled and even pardon. What a disgrace

God Bless 🙏🏾
It haunts me how sad it is. Great movie but Mollie must of died absolute broken.
I just watched Killers of the Flower Moon in the theater, it was a wonderful film and based on a true story.
i love how they always try to pin these types of events on one guy 😂
Killers * of the Flower Moon*
Flowers of the killer moon 🤣

It must be very weird that she is also related to William Hale being her great-great uncle.... 0_0
This movie, I felt was very emotional. I really felt it in my soul.
Heartbreaking 💔💔 cruel world
i will still talk about this and my thoughts will share the grief.forever.😢😢

Hurts the heart to think how many Osage were lost due to greed. Rest in Peace to Mollie and the rest of her family.
She looks just like her.

Not only the Americas my friend. Whites have caused havoc everywhere. Read about the British Empire.
They made themselves easy targets for having a lack of humanity themselves.
This is an amazing accurate depiction in a movie the life of Mollie Burkhart and an achievement of a true life story in "Killers of the flower moon".
Trusting people who have systemically wiped out your people generation after generation is wild.

They wanted so badly to fit in to be accepted. So sad
Trusting urban people to be anything other than criminals is silly as well.

No he got with Mollie just for the money they trying to dress it up like love even the grand daughter ugh.
All the real Osage are from the Grayhorse reservation
Hale was an insignificant minnow...
How so? It was his plan.

Historians disagree? And which historians would those be? The jury at Hale's trial as well as all the witnesses are in dispute of such an assertion.
this is not a Sherlock Holmes movie where its just one guy. even in the film he tells you the gang he rolled with...
I just can't even begin to think how they trusted them? Theyve heard all the stories about "colonizers" and still let them marry into their family.

She might be. Depends on if her and her third husband had kids also

When you accept and marry the enemy this is what you deserve .
You have a total lack of empathy, and you're probably fine with that.
