      Hey AJ I believe I got my 250 sold! Just waiting for the check to clear my bank. I also looked at a couple other bikes and decided to go with a CRF150RB. I found one and as soon as the check clears, I am going to buy it! It's a perfect fit for me with suspension for an adult!! I can't wait to get it and ride!

    Tires are important, but our testing with stock tire and work suspension vs good tire on stock suspension is that the tire is only important when touching the ground, lol. Work suspension made everyone faster than the tire did.

    If you have several hours on your bike and ask what should I do with the $250 I have burning a hole in my pocket, the answer is here. Get new tires. Actually the front will not wear that fast but it’s the best performance gain you can get if they are worn. I don’t think there was that much gain in the A-Kit/stock fork comparison video.

    Interesting video. Bigger difference than I thought! This bike also demonstrates one of the many things that I hate and fear about electric bikes taking over eventually, as batteries age they become worthless. Cars and bikes will never become classics, they’ll just become disposable like cell phones.

    • @JoeTheBlacksmith13
      @JoeTheBlacksmith13 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I disagree. Since they have a fraction of the mechanical parts they should be much cheaper and easier to maintain and restore. And when batteries finish their life cycle, although pricey, you just buy new ones…

    • @TheMoparGarage
      @TheMoparGarage 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JoeTheBlacksmith13 maybe so for bikes…I haven’t looked into costs on that end, but for cars the price of the batteries mechanically total the 8-ish year old car. Electric in general just really bums me out because it will rob the soul out of powersports and cars for gear heads like myself. I fell in love with engines, not batteries.

    • @JoeTheBlacksmith13
      @JoeTheBlacksmith13 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TheMoparGarage yeah I totally feel you. I think there will always be combustion engine classes though. Much like the nostalgia for 2-strokes and how there is still a market for them. When the combustion engine becomes less common, they will seem even cooler. Nostalgia is a powerful thing, and tends to keep the antiquated alive. Hence my profession….
      I have a feeling the batteries will be quite expensive and environmentally damaging for some time to come… but there’s a decent chance technological advances will make them more practical with more time/money and R and D supporting them. 🤷‍♂️🤞

    • @TheMoparGarage
      @TheMoparGarage 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JoeTheBlacksmith13 that’s a great point, I guess if you had asked me in 2006 if 2 strokes would still exist in 2022 I would have said no way. And they’re still alive and well. So I hope you’re right!

    • @inevespace
      @inevespace 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JoeTheBlacksmith13 I think EV will be more practical not because of technological advances, but because of change of lifestyle. I live in China now and EV are everywhere, like 50%. But they are ok because people don't drive far. And e-cars here are not like tesla with 400-500km range, but 250km(at least LDV and models used in taxi). The biggest problem is that we don't have technology to utilize and refurbish batteries, and lithium is about to be depleted next decade.
