    They don’t need no video. This is the best putter I’ve ever put it with and I’ve been putting for 55 years. The ball goes where you’re putting it straight.

    I bought a broomstick max 1. Went to practice green four straight days. First day was weird. Trying numerous grips and swings. Finally planned on one that was comfy (there is no "wrong grip") and found myself lagging long putts on a great line, but my distances were a bit off, both short and long. After a few days I'm dialed in and feeling soooo confident over the ball. (this from a player of 46 years that has putting yips and had tried Bettinardi arm locks, etc). This putter is gold!!!

    I have the 2.1 in a blue with the white LAGolf shaft with only one round under my belt. For being one round but I can’t describe the feeling of confidence with this putter. Like if I’d had this putter for years. What impressed me the most was the distance control on longer putts. Just simple tap ins with my putter. Stick with it. It’s a game changer.

      I felt that too that longer putts were easier. That made the stroke more confident

    I don’t know if you’ll make more putts or not. But I tested one recently and I can honestly say it’s the absolute best feel on the putter face that I’ve ever experienced. And I’ve been playing for about 50 years. The newer model looks much more traditional and I could see myself putting it in the bag.

    Was in Palm Desert a few months ago. Came across Ashdon Golf putters. They're all center-shafted, which I like, and remind me of the TM Truss putters from a couple years back. Wife got one and putted good with it. I tried it and but wasn't crazy about the looks of hers even though I dropped from 37 putts to 34 putts using it the next day. I ordered the blade-style and now average 33 putts over 9 rounds. I've found using the TM Tour Response Stripe ball that this putter has given me a more consistent end-over-end roll than the 2 Scotty Cameron putters I have, which are both center-shafted as well. On top, it's now being noticed by my regular golf buddies that my putting is better. Granted, both the L.A.B. and Ashdon putters may not look "sexy" but in the right hands both can work magic. Goal is to get down to 31 putts by the end of summer. Current HC is 12.4.

    People who swing around their body might find it odd - but if you're straight back straight through - which I find the simplest swing - should love it off the bat.

    Awesome honest review Jim.
    2 years ago I was custom fit for their DF 2.1 by sending in my self-made video. Loved the idea of the torque free setup. Technology definitely works, the putter head goes where you point it whether or not you have a straight back straight through or have an arcing stroke. I have a slight arc to the inside so it did work for me. I Used it for a few months but I couldn’t get over the branding iron looks and the feel off aluminum head was “hollow” to me. I wound up selling it. Not a fan of the looks of any of their putters.

      Did you look at the LINK? it is the bladed version of the same. Other than that I do agree. the mezz I can look at do the symmetry of the head but it still looks like it could driver nails

      @@McGolf yes I saw it’s the MEZZ model, but I still don’t like the look of it, yes it’s much better looking than the DF model but for me feel is important as well as looks and didn’t like the feel of it either. The MEZZ Definitely looks like a hammer !

    I currently use a Honu center balanced putter that was fitted for me. He used the Ipad video to see contact and roll. After 5 years of use, I'm losing confidence and have a tendency to pull my putts with it. Was at PGA Super Store today and tried the Max putter. Holy cow! Felt almost instant confidence and a whole lot less of pulling. I know there's many reasons for pulling putts but the Lab max seemed to straightened those putts out. But then i wonder if its the heavier weight or the different size grip or....
    Another thing that i wonder about is why all those costly weights. Are they just a fancy, expensive way of adding weight? Ive seen a few old timers use lead tape on their putters. Comments?

      If you like the mezz one get it! I also have a honu and its the best putter I’ve ever used and will never use another putter. Im thinking of ordering another one as a spare. I hope you sort your issue of pulling putts

    How easy do you think it would be to change the shaft on this putter? Would you do it yourself or would you send it in?

  • @ericdehoff6693
    @ericdehoff6693 ปีที่แล้ว

    Jim you mentioned you found out your eyes were inside the putt when you got fit. Was your putter made with that lie angle in mind, or did you adjust your stance after realizing it? I find I feel more comfortable, like you, with my eyes inside the line/hands lower/toe up. Trying to figure out when I send my fitting video if I should use that comfortable stance, or the more upright over the ball stroke I've been working on.

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      I was WAAAAY too inside for even my other putters. However I do like to be inside the sight line. inside the sight line is not bad just need to find the comfortable spot. I went a bit lone and found that if I choke about an inch I feel flat but in some case the toe will be up ever so slightly and still work.

  • @lmoretz4737
