If Consulting companies paid more attention to the work life balance of their employees they might have been able to retain them longer. Its scary that some companies expect their employees to work for more than 12 hours and pass it off by saying "Oh, we had to do it too".
Quite valid points. I would love to learn your journey about GGI especially the bootstrapping part and how you managed to reach the salary more than you got in BCG in a year because that that is really quick and not many people can do that in such a short period of time!
Working out just makes a bigger shift in mindset than the physical appearance and looks. So keep hitting back with a great energy in every content you make.👍🏻
I really appreciate this video! Very few few put this out about 'Why I Quit' along with 'Don't burn bridges'.... when I Quit after only 8 months in a Big 4 for same first 2 reasons, I couldn't even muster the words to speak Positive about my time with the Big 4 firm.... 5 star for this Video!!
Hello Ma'am, I'm an engineering graduate pursuing MBA in operations through distance education from a reputed college. Please share some interviews tips to get in to management consulting. Are there any specific pros and cons of the same.
Hi Shatakshi, It's a great vlog and would like to know more from you about how to apply for management consultation. As always you're doing a great job and you're vlogs are always fresh.
Hello Ma'am, your videos are really informative. My question is: I did MBA in HR and Marketing not from a famous place like you due to certain financial problems but I think I have knowledge and skills to cope with challenges but don't know how to work in MNC's so, would you tell me how do I get a job in BCG??? Regards
@@MrinalNavy I think doing MBA is just one of the many ways to achieve a goal, goal of earning credentials to show people that we can do something in a proficient way. Doing MBA and investment of lakhs of rupees to learn is not a good investment at this age... Invest money to do something of your own.... It is challenging but its the only way to do it right. I am learning while working with my brother in his own company.
Please share your experience when you asked this question to the interviewer "How can BCG make you an entrepreneur" Did you ask this at the end of your interview? Also yes please tell us how to crack the interview?!
Hi Shatakshi, someone has approached me regarding Contractual Job opportunity with Boston Consulting Group. I am evaluating pros and cons. Can you please guide me more regarding it whether its good decision to join BCG on contract for few months?
I don't know the opportunity cost. But these are also great opportunity. You work like any consultant. Just on contract. It can drastically accelerate your career. Good luck
Great to know your view point Shatakshi, I want to share that I have completed my undergrad (Commerce) and MBA (IIM) from top tier institutions in India. And got placement in consulting firm from bschool campus placement but had to leave that company early just because I informed my reporting manager regarding my selection & interest to attend Harvard conference and requested to take 5 days leave permission. My leave request was denied and after few days HR send me termination mail. I had applied to several consulting opportunities off campus. But things are not working out as per my career plans and my keen interests in consulting domain during off campus hiring It's taking too long time in off-campus hiring process and due to these reasons I am getting worried about my career ahead. I wanted to deliver value in consulting domain with MBB firms but due to these unwanted current circumstances I am getting worried about my future.
