Wow, the Forged sure had the energy synergy going in this high-octane firefight. MVP for Preston pulling the bacon out of the fire. Always enjoy the weapon special effects added to the video too! Almost as many booms as Michael Bay.
I really enjoyed the improvements you've made to your batrep format. Love the dice cam, the summaries of uneventful turns to keep the pace up,/vary up how you're describing information, and the screen overlays of the event cards. You're very good at these and I hope you continue making them!
This was a tough one. Preston did most damage, but failed to aid ANY of his friends! Cate was being a fiery red head the whole time, Jake had a cinematic moment running through molotovs to grab the pistol and take a great shot, and sole survivor tanked the big baddy Bedlum for a while, taking heat off of his pals. The forged didn't do much but slow things down, even the constant fires did little damage. Bedlam was a badass come charging in doing massive damage, but that didn't secure a win. I'm gonna have to say mvp is sole surviver. If he hadn't tanked Bedlam AND a goon for those few turns, Preston wouldn't have been able to run off like a coward with the key.
i dont know the rules of fallout wasteland but i have listened to enough battle reports and have known wargaming well enough that i mostly knew what was going on. plus your commentary helped a ton. also sole survivor mvp
I guess I have to give MVP to Preston since he technically won the scenario for them but Bedlam brought down the survivors best with those sledge hits to the Sole Survivor. I just want to say that I do really enjoy these narrative mini-campaigns.
I doubt there are really enough Forged around to actually rule the whole Commonwealth :). They could probably burn a good bit of it. At least the little chunk around Saugus, Finch Farm, the Slog, and Hub City, although those Gunners aint gonna just stand around and let you roast 'em. Ask me how I know lol.
Today is getting seriously good, what did this day do to get Grace's with FOWW! I hate saying it, but Preston gets the MVP 1) for great shots, 2) for the secure. Also a question don't survivors have an extra health or super armor as a faction rule or does it not apply to the Slog scenario?
They do indeed, but the molotovs and flamers canceled them out in this one. Any hit (whether it does damage or not) removes the +1 tokens, so the first Molotov stripped Cait's +1 token and the flamer stripped Jake and the Survivor's tokens even though they did no damage!
I just bought my first starter set of Fallout Wasteland Warfare, and I've been looking for some of the narrative campaign stuff to get into it, and this video has been a godsend! This stuff looks like a lot of fun! ALso, I noticed you use sleeves on your cards. Where can I get some like that? Seems like a really nice way to preserve them!
Cheers! We've got lots of solo play-throughs and some PvP matches on the channel, hope you enjoy. As for sleeves you can get them on Amazon or stores that sell trading card games, not very expensive for a pack of 50 or so
Not a special rule in this case, it just happened that the raider in combat with Jake activated next (enemy AI activations are drawn randomly). However, there is a universal special rule that if you move out of close combat with any enemy they can make a free opportunity quick attack. Thanks for watching!
You can gain an action point if you roll the Vault/Gear symbol on the skill die when making a test, which you can then spend on quick actions or to prepare!
Very good video! I heard about the game before, but never seen it played. Your video made it easy and entertaining to watch. Thanks! But I have a grudge with games that are too... gamey (yes, I know it sounds silly). Preston going for the door in the end, ignoring his friends, is the perfect example. I don't mean you were wrong, or that you should have roleplayed, but the fact that the game encourages players to do it bothers me a little, especially in a narrative type of game. I mean, he got to the door, but what then? I understand THAT is the objective, but storywise, it makes no sense. But it's just me :D
You're not wrong! It will be a bit odd when the full team is back together in episode 2 (coming VERY soon!), maybe Preston can give them a quick Stimpak to get back in the fight!
@War Games News Radio I think you can always come up with a narrative excuse for this sort of thing, right? I'm just that sort of person hahah A similar thing happens in Five Parsecs From Home. The rules say that you can run away and leave your teams Casualties behind, and it doesnt affect the result. But some situations make it feel very wrong storywise. "So you left your unconscious friends behind in the jungle while predators where attacking!?" 🤔 But, again, that's me thinking of story first 😅
There is a reason I use Prism painted Power Armor when I attack the Forge HQ.
