I was one of the first pre-orders for the solo stand. I really like the build and mobility of it. I think my only critique of it is not being able to get my bench over the legs because of the way my Rogue adjustable bench is designed. I had to build a riser to be able to use it. All in all, it's a really good product from BP. It's perfect for the limited space I have in the garage.
Great job on the video man! I think this is the first video I've seen on the solo stand. I think a dedicated upright is almost necessary for the Isolator. I don't have one and I hardly ever use the Isolator because I don't feel like setting it up lol. It's a cool and fun piece but I'll probably sell mine because of that.
Ordered the solo stand a few weeks ago. I ordered the black one. It’s not coming until February. You should get the long lever arm and extra weight horn. You can put the lever arm in the outer port, add the weight horn. This lets you vary the strength curve. I have it set up this way and love it.
appreciate that insight!! i have done that before with the long lever arm and agree the strength curve is nice to adjust. I always assumed they had a lot of stock on the solo stands. Hope yours gets here sooner than later
I got one used for a great price, and it works great for me…and I don’t even have an isolator yet. I use it for chest supported rows, anything else with a seal row pad, belt squats with the revolt attachment, and dips. I just have a half rack, and that’s usually taken up by bench, shoulder press, or squats, and having a small space, the solo stand is a great way to superset, and be able to put away easy after your workout. I’m sure I’ll eventually get an isolator, just waiting for a good deal in the used market.
hope you got a good price on it! its a good piece for all the things you listed, i definitely would’ve went the used route if one came up by me. I’ve been seeing isolators pop up here and there would definitely say its a buy if you can get one $300-500 the versatility is nice
Yeah the cheapest I’ve seen used in my area was a firm $750. Got my solo stand for $100, so would be a killer steal if I could get an isolator in the $500 range. Love the detailed video. Was hoping someone would get a video out there on it.
I would love for you to do a seated leg curl with the hex poet attachment and self adjusting pad. I found issues with it and curious what you would do. For example the whole isolator will Move unless you weight it down on the base.
Hi sairam71, I wanted to try this before replying to your comment. It’s possible to do seated leg curls but the weight would have to be low enough where it doesn’t cause the isolator weight arm to move the entire unit. I found out in all the seated leg curl setups i tried the weight arm causes the solo stand to move. I flipped the isolator as well as do my normal leg curl setup and both move the solo stand if theres too much weight on. I need to find a weight horn or something I can use to weigh down the entire solo stand. But even weighing it down you would need a lot of weight to keep it from moving
hey sairam71 I was talking to a friend who had a solo stand with an isolator and hex attachment and he showed me how to do seated leg curls on the solo stand with the isolator and hex port attachment. I am going to test it out and make an updated video on it! From what he’s shown me its legit it just takes more parts than just the base isolator.
I ordered the same pieces a few weeks ago. Thanks for a great review of the stand!
enjoy it! and i hope it doesnt take awhile to come in 😅

i agree for sure i probably wouldnt like the isolator as much if i had to set it up every time i use it
Looks sharp on white. I like my solo stand as well
agreed the white is a very nice finish, gives equipment the vintage vibes
Dope video and very informative

$100 for the solo stand is such a steal. Really worth it for that price.

@ I see. I guess it’s jsut physics then. I put a 45 lb plate on the legs and seems to work. As I push heavier I’ll have to add more to the 45.

@ can’t wait.
