I have been a home gym owner since 2016 and on my 3rd iteration of my gym! I started my home gym journey because there was no powerlifting gyms around me at the time and I wanted a place for me and my friends to train. I have been powerlifting since 2017 competing in 82-90kg weight classes (still not a 500 dots lifter). I have jumped into the deep end of being a home gym owner while on my powerlifting journey. I like trying out different things and trying to work with what I have to mimic machines from commercial gyms. You will catch me making videos on gym equipment I purchase and acquire throughout the years! Hope you stay along for the ride!

Great review as always! Thanks for your honest opinion and showcasing the product 😊
Thank you for watching!
Hi Andie, would you mind measuring the distance from the edge of the upright to the far end of the weight horn in this seated leg curl set up. Thank you.
Hi Rob, It is about 25” from the upright to the end of the arm that holds the roller pad. For the long lever arm that holds the weight it comes out 13”. Hope that helps let me know if you need any more info
How long did these take you to get?
Hey Nick, I got them back in April 2023. I ordered them middle of March 2023. At the time it took about 2 weeks, are you still waiting on yours?
What is your waist size? I have seen some people state going up a size. I am a 35.5". Chart says large but wanted to make sure
Hey Claude I am about a 32” waist. Where I place my belt is greater than 32” though so a large is pretty flexible for me in terms of placement. I would go with the measurement around where you place a belt. Theres some room for play with an SBD belt so I think a large might be fine for you. If you have a friend who has an SBD belt to try on it might be your best option before committing.
hey are the 12 inch handles long (good) enough to be used with the arc pulldown attachment?
yeah they are, I have a clip of me using them on the arc attachment in the video right at 5:19 timestamp
@ yeah I saw that but wasn’t too sure how they felt. Which size handle do you prefer? I’m not sure to get 12 or 18inch version. I feel like 18 inch is more versatile but I’m not a big fella myself to utilise it fully? I would like something more portable if I could if that makes sense
I use the 12inch handles more now as they are more versatile. I think it depends on what you do, if you are doing more holds/pullups/dips then the 18s should be okay. But if you are doing side lateral raises/push movements/trolley arm work then the 12s are better in my opinion. I think the real thick 45mm version might’ve been a better choice for me overall but the 12in 35mm has been great. I only have the 18s from when I got them with my UDA. I have used the 12s on my UDA and they worked fine.
@@andie_pl cheers! I am planning on just using the handles for UDA and potentially arc pull downs. Would 18s suit more then?
If you had a really long wing span 18s would be better on the arc attachment for me the 12s are good enough!
Andi I have a question for you? I purchased the Roman Strength Megalift Stainless Steel Handles a couple weeks ago. It may take a few more weeks until I receive them in the mail. I also ordered the Rogue Fitness Knurled knobs instead of the stainless steel knobs from Roman Strength. My question for you is that I currently use my ReP Fitness Weight Horns for loading plates when I do exercises. I do have the Vendetta Strength Attachment and I also use my Mutant Metal Handles for exercises. I find my Rep Fitness Weight horns kind of a hassle (bulky/heavy) when adding plates to my ISO arms. Do you have/use the Mutant Metal Weight horns or the Roman Strength Stainless Steel Dual Sided Weight Horns? Or some other weight horns? Just curious because I never thought much about the weight horns until now. If I bought a different pair I could get rid of those old Rep fitness handles and just store them away for good? Anyway's, just curious to see what you use? I am still waiting for my Mutant Metal Mono lift, and my Surplus Strength Spotter arms, and now my Roman Strength Megalift handles to get delivered and then I think I'm done for awhile purchasing gym equipment. LOL.
hey raps appreciate the comment!! Dude ik what you mean, i want to find some weight horns I tried to use with my handles as well. I have some cheapo amazon branded weight horns that have an opening for handles but they didn’t work with my MM handles, I haven’t tried it with the megalith handles yet. I am not sure which dual sided weight horns to go. I might try the Bremmy Strong weight horns since they aren’t a big commitment and I can use them as weight horns on my other rack. Right now I just attach weight with rogue monster weight horns and the rogue articulating handle weight horn for trolley movements.
Andie with the 10/10 custom machines as always
im trying to get like you bro
That is just the solution I was looking for. I have held off purchasing the product until I found your solution. Could you please provide a specific list of additional components you purchased, so I have a full understanding of how you accomplished this feat. My goal is to attach to my 6 post rack with the hope of only having small setup adjustments to do both leg extensions and leg curls. Well done!
I got you Robert. I’ll update the description for you in a little bit. This setup for the seated leg curl I have a YT short on it in my channel as well. I like seated leg curls more on my power rack compared to the solo stand setup.
I like how you showed it from start to finish! Thank you.
appreciate your comment! and thanks for watching!!
Hey Andy, Im interested in buying a pair of tgese from you. Possible?
Hey mindbodytrainer I probably won’t sell these at this time! I am actually building out a collection of rogue deep dish
😭 i understand. If you chane your mind or see any sonewherw i night buy, pls advise. Thanks!
No way in hell would spend $350 for a pad that doesn’t have the signature grip vinyl Danny invented.
would’ve been a nice touch for sure, donnie signed off on these pads/vinyl himself
I picked up the UDA handles from Rogue for 221.05. Its cheaper than the MM ones and it was fast ship and its good enough for dips. I have been waiting for the MM snapback since july.
appreciate that insight!! the quick shipping and turn around is really nice. I had to wait about 20 weeks for the snapback rollers as well. I have a video coming on them soon!
I LOVE my MM versions but the Rogue handles are grippy enough for most
Definitely agree with that!
The Mutant Metals/Rogue UDA handles are also great to use with the VTS heavy version. At 35mm they feel really good for all pressing movements, I also have Bremmy's stainless steel short weight horns and screw the UDA handles into them into the VTS to save some space when using the smith.
I gotta try this out with my VTS! Appreciate the comment
gave everyone the merry christmas
wish you wanted to run back the duo fortnite
Are those rogue handles for sale separately?
I bought mine with the UDA, but I think they might let you buy them separately. Don’t quote me on that. But I would send them an email and ask. Back then they used to only sell parts if you bought a portion of the machine you want parts for. For example I had a monster slinger and wanted the monster cave swivel and they let me buy it separately.
Grips for the clips. Nice showcase of the haul this time , keep it up
come thru and use them
Great review as always. Would be cool if they made the handles to screw together in order to accommodate a 12" version and a 18" version.
Yeah I agree with that, I think with the new weight horns they made they can be used with the handles. Kinda steep price for the weight horns tho
I have both. The MM made handles are superior with the better craftsmanship and more aggressive knurling, but honestly the Rogue handles are really great, too. Yeah, they are more passive, yet somehow really, really grippy. I like both and alternate them for different uses.
Nice setup
appreciate that richardganz! thanks for stopping by
Does anyone have the VTS and they wanna sell. Reply here and I’ll give my contact info.
Are you still happy with these? Thinking of springing for some soon.
Hey Johnsmith I actually am reaching out to BW to get the uhmw replaced with the newer ones. A new contender has entered the stealth spotter game and they are called Bremmy Strong. I am looking into them but they look promising. Expensive of course but might have a lot of nice quality of life upgrades. Until then I am still rocking these BW low pro spotters. They have held up well since getting them.
@@andie_pl Nice thanks for the info. I did check out Bremmy, but those are quite a bit more and doesn't look like they come with the securing pins. I have some sitting around, but always nice to have a pair and I think Black Widow comes with them. Let me know if you have an affiliate code with them and I can use it if I purchase from them.
would an axle bar fit in the lite version?
Yeah it should be able to, the clamp mechanism is nearly identical to the normal VTS
Lightweight baby!!!
I was one of the first pre-orders for the solo stand. I really like the build and mobility of it. I think my only critique of it is not being able to get my bench over the legs because of the way my Rogue adjustable bench is designed. I had to build a riser to be able to use it. All in all, it's a really good product from BP. It's perfect for the limited space I have in the garage.
appreciate your comment and insight! thats why I still have my rogue ab-2 the feet can clear the solo stand! its a game changer for sure
I'm thinking of buying the stainless steel rotating handles, as I find its difficult to use the mutant metal handles for shoulder presses. I am lacking range of motion from shoulder surgery due too many years of competitive bodybuilding I suppose. It takes a toll. Anyway's, they look great and your description was very detailed which hopefully helped me in making a decision, but just wanted to check in and see if you still think they are worth the $? I would really only use them for ISO arm shoulder presses, but I do like to that movement but find it difficult now and can really only do them single handle on each arm with the Mutant Metal handles. I can't do shoulder presses with dumbbells anymore unfortunately and I miss heavy dumbbell presses. Maybe that's why I have limited range of motion now. LOL
appreciate the comment raps. The mutant metal handles are nice for pressing but they stay in a fixed position and motion. I like that the megalith handles conform to how you press. I use mine mainly for side lateral raises and shoulder pressing. I like how they feel. However I do think they are pretty pricy now so they are quite the investment. Get them if you want the most out of your trolley arms but if you aren’t a big fan of trolley arms don’t do it. If you have trolley arms that can converge the whole setup would be really nice. If I was buying again I would’ve went for the fully stainless.
Looks sharp on white. I like my solo stand as well
agreed the white is a very nice finish, gives equipment the vintage vibes
Totally getting one and painting Arnie gold with those ink sharpies. Could you possibly make a short video of the two plates clanking each other? This seems silly, but its literally one of the criteria I have to decide if I'll go for a full set of Rogue Deep Dishes or just a pair of Arnold Edition and something else for the rest of the 45s.
you gonna make a pizza with this?
Very nice but also very expensive.
Limited run. 2022-2025 lol. They are cool just always thought they were over priced of a cast plate.
yeah real costly for these for sure
LOL! I bought a pair in '22 thinking they'd be a truly limited run. Tried to sell them last year, no bites, now they just sit in the back spot behind all my Strength Co. plates. Maybe 1 day I'll just put them on a wall for display.
Elephant bar when?
yah should I just got a monster dl bar from strongarm for the budget elephant lol
i like that sliding noise
time to run the test on the plates you have..
Looking jacked dude !!
im just trying to get like you bro 💪
Luv it!
The deep dish plate date🍽️
moar plates….
These went up a lot.
they really did. almost $200 on top of what I paid for
@andie_pl yes, there all unfortunately about the same price now, do you know of any others?
Was thinking about getting this and maybe another piece from them. What are your thoughts after a few months ?
hey wet, i like this pendulum, its probably my favorite piece out of the 3 TOG pieces i own. The movement is really smooth and doesn’t wobble like crazy. I find that the usage of bands doesn’t work as well as I want it to. I think if I did it again I would’ve opted for a colored one as the current finish on the pendulum is kinda meh. All and all a good piece, still pretty expensive though. What other piece you looking to get?
@@andie_pl The Plate-Loaded Adjustable FID Converging Smith Bench Press Machine Version 2 and possibly the chest supported T bar row. Glad I found your channel!
The lever too heavy tho
Awesome to see how you set this up. In general, do you feel that the long lever arm is a necessary option to have for the Isolator?
hey tecbox i dont think its super necessary but its nice to have for sure. I dont really use it for other stuff right now, but thats more because I already have a reverse hyper and dont like setting up the back attack on the isolator
I ordered the same pieces a few weeks ago. Thanks for a great review of the stand!
enjoy it! and i hope it doesnt take awhile to come in 😅
Hey boss I'm looking to order one of these guys not sure if I should go small or medium completely relaxed stomach I'm 37" tight like I'd wear a belt I'm 34" and if my weight were to change it'd likely go down any insight?
I would get a medium. Because you can always make it tighter and have it almost fit like a small. Small you might be at the end of the max width for the holes. Even if you cut some weight you’d probably still be fine with a medium. Hope that helps!
@andie_pl thanks boss
Awesome seeing someone use the accessory port for weight.
So I tried this set up last night. Just wasn't practical unfortunately. The main problem is that there is no back rest. I have to support the pad with my incline bench as I exceed the weight limit and without leaning back I can't set the pad high enough for a full ROM with ebough weight. I'll have to wait for the back rest for this to work properly.
ahhh gotcha, thanks for letting me know. The adjustable bench is basically needed for extra seat/stability. I don’t know if its possible without it in this setup
@@andie_plya I set mine up with the incline bench under the seat to keep it from sagging but for me I just need a back rest to be able to lean back and swing my legs over the pad and also not fall backwards. It's to bad it takes so much adjusting to set up. I even have an extra short arm.
I definitely needed this explanation. Thank you for showing us the way!
Glad it was helpful!
nice, just placed an order for long arm.
heck yeah hope it doesnt take to long to come in!
good
come thru
great vid Andie and thanks for the shout out! doing the good work of spreading the gospel of isolator tinkering haha
appreciate you jeff for showing me the secrets
glad to help!
