    Hi Shimmy. I decided to place an order after watching your video. Order was placed 3/8/2022, I received a shipping notification on 3/15/2022, and received my order 3/29/2022. I purchased the women’s cotton cropped tee for $6.65, paid $1.99 for the custom tag, paid $6.60 for shipping, and received a $1.00 discount using your code. So all in it cost me $14.24 USD. I too liked that my image seemed like it was printed into the shirt where you could not feel a difference, but that’s where my pros end. The shirt itself had a little bit of stretch to it, but was kinda stiff. Crops are supposed to add a little sexiness and nothing was sexy about the shirt. My image looked washed out, and not vibrant enough. There was bleeding on a letter. The lettering was yellow but it was black bleeding/shading around just one letter. To top it off I did not get the custom tag I paid for! So I’m going to pass on HugePOD for now and continue my search. Although I have not figured out what company I want to use yet, thank you for your videos because they have been a big help.

    • @shimmymorris1
      @shimmymorris1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Hey! That's terrible! You should complain to them and get a full refund! Quality should and NEEDS to be consistent across all orders they get. My only thought about the image not being as vibrant would be, if you designed in RGB it would look more vibrant as it's printing in CMYK which tends to look more dull. However, everything else is unacceptable from them and you should get your money back

    There is no comparison between Printful and Hugepod 'all over print' fabric !!!
    Yes the price may be double, but there is a good reason for that.
    That shiny, thin, Sport-like fabric you showed in your video? .... well, it's a cheap 100% polyester, and clients HATE that!
    I guess it can work as a shower curtain, but no one wants to wear it on their skin.
    It's itchy, it's shiny, it feels like plastic, it's NOT breathable... so you're gonna sweat pretty fast.... and most of all, it look cheap.
    The fabric they use in Printful is the complete opposite - it's smooth, thick, 30% cotton, brushed fleece on the inside, and feel more like that thick hoodie you showed.
    The Printful prices are a problem, you need to sell a hoodie for 60$ to make any profit,,,,, however, the quality is unmatched.
    you want to print a garment at 15$ and make a wild profit? go a head, but you should expect some high percentage of returns and unsatisfied costumers.
    In my journey to lower Printful costs, I ventured all the way to Pakistan, to find manufactures who can do 'all over print' hoodies in low costs.... and still couldn't find anyone with Printful fabric quality.... it got to a point where the Pakistanis asked me to send them a printful hoodie so they can
    inspect it and try to do a reverse engineering on it :)

    For about a year I was using Printful; when Shimmy's Printailor video came out I immediately started switching over and I have been loving the lower prices and great quality; however Printailor does NOT have all over print crewneck (which are my favorite) and the production/shipping has been 3-4 weeks on average for my customers. HugePOD does have a larger product selection and equally low prices to Printailor... so I'll give it a shot! Thank you for the amazing content!

    • @jamesshangle
      @jamesshangle 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In general my customers are not okay with the shipping times. There was a specific period of time around January 20th when order were placed, that were not delivered until Feb 25-28, so I had to give those customers big discounts on future order (50% off) as an apology. The production time alone was 2 weeks, then an extra 2 weeks of shipping from china. Since then, printailor’s production time seems to have reduced to about 1 week, with 2 weeks of shipping still. Maybe supply chains are the root cause and there are signs of slight improvement now. Overall I am still using Printailor for now. I am still considering switching back to Printful but I am waiting to get more customer feed back on quality of Printailor and to see if they can speed up these deliveries anymore.

    Prints that are "a part" of the garment are typically Sublimation Type prints. Sublimation utilizes heat to "melt" the print to make it a part of the fabric and typically is used on Polyester materials.

      Not quite, sublimation uses heat to turn the ink into a gas, which permanently stains the polyester. DTG, prints ink into the material substrate, and DTF uses direct heat to transfer ink from paper onto the garmet.

    These POD companies are REALLY taking advantage of their shopowner customers charging insane high prices and many shipping costs are double the product costs! How stupid do they think we are??? Someone needs to do a comparative analysis of product cost, shipping costs, shipping timeframe and then tie in another analysis with each of the Shopify, Etsy, etc. listing and subscription costs. If you identify the REAL profit after paying all these fees, you'll see we're all working for these companies and getting a fraction of the profits. The majority of the TH-cam videos claiming to make hundreds of thousands of dollars I'm sure are reporting their total sales, NOT total profit. There are solutions if we form a group. And it’s good to know that they still offer that so cheap because I believe that’s usually more expensive (at least on Printful) due to being a more complicated high tech process. I don’t know exactly how it works but I know Printful is able to do it somewhat sustainably with plant based ink, minimal water use etc. (though it’s normally only done on polyester which isn’t a very eco-friendly fabric) so hopefully they do that too.

    China can make very comfy and good quality shirts & shoes (export quality). Without knowing anything about Hugepod, I guessed it is a China company after putting up a design. 1) Very low-priced shipping cost reminds me of Aliexpress. 2) Spelling mistake on one of their pages 3) Small boxes when filling in forms and overall basic, simple, purely functional website. I am actually looking for this type of print. It lasts for many washes & because it's part of the fabric, it doesn't peel off and it's natural-looking. Also, it is now common for China sellers to demonstrate by washing their merchandise in a video on a selling platform to show that their colours do not wash out, do not wrinkle, do not tear (they will use a sharp-edged scissors to score across the fabric).

    As someone who's dealt with Chinese manufacturers for 10+ years... I'd say 4/10 times the order never arrives to it's destination. It's usually not the companies fault, the fault is with customs & the logistics of shipping something from a country exporting millions of products a day. Your package is essentially a needle in a haystack and with almost half my products never arriving to my customers I tend to stay away from companies in China.

    • @shimmymorris1
      @shimmymorris1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been ordering from China for 10+ years too and only one order got messed up. So it's hard to draw conclusions from individual results. It's better to find studies or surveys of what peoples experience have been making orders from China. I do understand the concern though, it's definitely easier and quicker to fulfil from your own country.

      thank you... the issue with still filming is, people get bored and click off the video. But i'll take that feedback into consideration for the next company review video

      @@shimmymorris1 I can totally get that! I get bored alot myself LOL. And I do like the style of filming in general and actually think it does make for a more entertaining vid! I just feel like in that moment when you're showing the close ups for details and quality, maybe hold still for a bit longer, and then go back to the fun stuff lol. I found myself rewinding and pausing alot just to get a better look. But thanks so much for responding! 🙂

    Shimmy, within printful where it allows you to set prices for each of the products in your store, does the 'revenue' displayed take account of the etsy selling fees as well? so if for example i have a revenue of between £0.09 to £2.01, does that automatically include the etsy selling fees?

    • @shimmymorris1
      @shimmymorris1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it doesn’t
