Leon went to her for help on becoming a musician, and genuinely wanted to become friends with her, but what does he get in return? Oh, that's right, she attempts to kill him. I'm glad she got what she deserved in the end, although when Leon was executed I was massively depressed considering he's my #1 favorite. in all seriousness, i think that sayaka is coded as having anxiety tbh. a lot of her behaviour indicates that, as do a lot of her sprites (a couple of which depict sayaka having panic attacks), and this event especially - where she's afraid of makoto hating her because she's also afraid if he gets too close, he's going to find reasons to dislike her - or other people will find reasons to dislike her. i honestly don't care if other people find her boring, i really like sayaka tbh

Interesting to see more about Maizono, I really enjoy the fact that they made her not just to be an ultimate cute idol loved by many but also with relatable insecurities and an anxious side. Specially because she died so fast, we couldn't see more about her character so deeper like the others

I feel like the reason people hate her and naegi is because she was a traitor but monokuma had not told anyone about the trials and executions being sayaka died before they were explained. and since she had no idea that means she was trying to save us from watching everyone die she would’ve probably tried to save half of the others too but hey let’s give Leon a knife came in and we know how that ended

Well Sayaka and Leon were the two characters that the game's creators made first and were the basic models for the rest. Apparently, since they were always referring back to these characters constantly, they grew tired of them and thus they became the first characters to go in the game. Sad, really, I kinda liked Sayaka.

The demo version where Hagakure died first makes sense considering his character went nowhere the whole game, whereas both Sayaka and Leon showed potential right from the start.

The fact that we know EXACTLY who was originally intended to die first and said character doesn't really do anything noteworthy throughout the rest of the game only highlights this fact even further.
