Your coverage of Caspersen Beach really captures the impact of the hurricane. Thank you for sharing this powerful glimpse of what’s happening on the ground!
Thank you for sharing this. I’ve walked many a mile around Caspersen Beach and the inner island trails over the years and painted many paintings there. It’s kinda shocking to see this, but it is nature doing its thing. We should be humbled.
I was there the same day, 18th. Couldn't believe it! One of my favorite beaches. The beach is huge now! I assume the road will not be rebuilt. We parked at Brohars park and walked down. I miss all the palm trees that were along the road near the beach, this is so sad
We have been visiting Caspersen for many years and it was sad to see the landscape changes. The drive down to the beach was always something to look forward to.
I,ve lived in Venice for 57 years you probably would not believe the amount of sharks I caught off that beach, there ysed to be a road from the pier straight down to Casp,s the story's I could tell you about that pier, the coast guard station and casp,s would blow your mind, the shark Jaws in sharks were donated by me and my Father, true story.
Humans are not responsible for Hurricanes being a cooling mechanism on earth for millions of years. The Sun and/or volcanoes hold that responsibility, thank you.

Thanks for watching! It’s truly heartbreaking. Hopefully it makes a full recovery!

100% agreed. Mother Nature is reclaiming what’s rightfully hers. I think it will be better now so many people will choose to not make the long walk.
I might have some old footage of the beach around 2015. I’ll have to look for it. It had those beautiful dunes in the footage.

I walked the beach the other day and I couldn’t believe how much the storm had destroyed reclaimed. 😢
Very sad to see. Hoping they rebuild!
How do you get to it? We tried to go last November, but couldn't figure it out. We wanted to go in 2025.
Mother Nature is awesome in her power! Thoughts go out to everyone that has been affected by the storms ❤💙
Englewood, manasota, siesta key too 😢 so much of our home distroyed 🥺
Yes, it’s very sad, but we are confident Mother Nature wanted it this way!
and it goes in the backyard of whom?
Not sure… into the ocean which is sad!
In 20 years South Florida will be unlivable!!!
Agreed. It’s going to be sad. 😞
"EEEOUUU! WHAT'S THAT STINK?"
