These numbers are only the result of an average calculation of all the stats inside the "category". For example, his shot power and long shots could be 95+, but his penalty, finishing, volley and positioning in attack are probably lower because of his position, and that's what, I think, lowered his shooting stats.

Seedorf prime was very well rounded. He was good box to box and reclaiming posession so 68 defending is kind of shocking. He is also known to be very physical in his prime.
