Ireland was hard won ,from the British, and belongs to the Irish people, not a government and most certainly not the European Union. Exempting Ukraine war refugees,
the overwhelming majority of those who present themselves as refugees are economic migrants chancing their luck. Many of these chancers have little regard for Irish law
or society judging by their behaviour and indeed pose a significant threat as recent cases of murder and rape has demonstrated. The obligation of the Irish government, to
to protect it citizens must take Precedence over any international obligations. If Ireland is not for the Irish, Who is it for?

I'm all for people coming here making a good life for themselves and most importantly contributing in time to society. Its great we can offer that, considering how things have been for Ireland. The system in place is a farce and a complete piss take at the expense not only of the tax payer but the legitimate person wanting to come here to make a life for themselves or actually escape some lunatic establishment.

Welcoming the stranger is an admirable quality, naivety is not. Ireland must Prioritise it's own people and not allow itself to be bullied by

History said that food was exported from Ireland during the great hunger, who took part in this process, who transported this food to the ports, who worked at the ports and watched this food loaded on to ships while the irish starved,it was the native irish, not the british, who took part in the practicalities of this immortality. The irish have always been their own worst enemy and will continue to be. It's the irish who are betraying their own people as they always have. The irish, been a pathetic race, will probably blame the UN or the EU for this latest plantation but rational thinking people will conclude differently.

Congrats on 25k, but watching you anymore!!, but glad I watched this to find you out, the Irish people are correct to protest at what's becoming of their Country under the EU servants in the Dail. Undocumented men fron all over, fleeing no wars, coming through Dublin Aiport with no papers, bussed into villages all over the Country without warning, residents and even councils not told about it. It's not right, people with families are very concerned, and can you blame them?, yet Irish indigenous people cannot get houssed, as well as the homeless on the streets. These proud people are not Far Right, and to call them racist is a sick joke. There is a third mosque being applied for in Letterkenny !!!, you could never say this is ok in a Christian Country, think about it? "why do they want a third Mosque in a place the size of Letterkenny". Ireland is full, there's no housing, as economic illegal migrants aere given it...madness!! Nobody, especial the Irish have a problem helping genuine "refugees", but it's turned into a scam because of the generous welfare they get....Fact, millions will not agree with the out of touch Bishop, that's for sure

Under the Treaty of Amsterdam Ireland can opt out of EU legislation in areas including asylum and immigration. Ireland is v attractive not just for the benefits but as the only English speaking country in EU.
Surely you are not saying Ireland contributed nothing to the EU. Give us back the bad roads is right.
The few who are making €€€ from accommodation, legal fees etc, of course are in favour, but unlimited immigration is driving down wages and putting up rents.

    Good video Terry.
The archbishop should lead by example and invite migrants and asylum seekers to live in his home or palace. Perhaps you Terry could invite some migrants and asylum seekers to live in your home. Every person who supports open borders and mass migration should do this. Theres plenty of room in your homes and you might a get a few bob off the government. Be good little christians.
Rules based immigration ? evidence shows that thousands of deportation orders have not been enforced by the gardai and immigration officers. Garda data and courts data show that crimes have been committed by some migrants,. This includes those who committed serious crimes in other countries but were unvetted in Ireland. The ISIS terrorist Rachid Redouane who committed the london bridge attacks in 2017 lived in Ireland for years prior to the attack. Gardai had been tipped off but failed to act. There are other examples in Ireland. Around the EU there are over 1,000 ISIS and al qaeda terror cells, but they are legally here and the law protects them, and more are coming n every year, and solicitors and barristers and judges are happy with this. The so called law is being used for illegal and unlawful and unconstitutional purposes.
Would those people who support open borders and mass migration be prepared to pay from their own personal salaries, bank accounts and assets for the crimes and terrorism committed by some people they let into Ireland ? Its called Accountability.

    Dear Terry,
    There is no consent"!!
The Irish Constitution unequivocally asserts that "the will of the Irish people" is paramount concerning the enactment of legislation in the Oireachtas. Yet, there has been no public vote or consent for what is perceived as a policy influenced by the World Economic Forum, promoting mass, unregulated immigration.
Both Fianna Fáil (FF) and Fine Gael (FG) have been accused of consistently disregarding the Irish electorate's voice. As a result, they are alleged to have undermined the very foundations of the Irish State, committing, in this process, what are considered severe transgressions against Ireland.
In the Irish Constitution, the section on "Powers of Government" stipulates that all governmental powers - legislative, executive, and judicial - are derived from the people. The populace holds the right to appoint their leaders and, ultimately, to make decisions on matters of national importance based on the common good. Moreover, these powers are to be exercised solely by or under the authority of the State's organs as established by the Constitution. This highlights the democratic principle that the government's legitimacy stems from the people's consent.
    "There is no consent"!

    Dear Terry,
When contemplating the recent actions of Leo Varadkar's administration, it's crucial to adopt a reflective approach and avoid an oikophobic attitude. These actions have ignited a fiery debate across Ireland, with many citizens perceiving them as a betrayal. They seem to align more with the interests of the World Economic Forum and a 'Digital Aristocracy', rather than those of the Irish people.
To gain a genuine understanding of this sentiment, a journey through the bustling streets of not just Dublin, but also Cork, Limerick, Galway, and other Irish cities, can be quite illuminating. Interacting with local men and women, particularly those from the working class, provides a unique perspective on the real mood of the nation. Their views, often unvarnished and direct, offer a stark contrast to the polished official narratives.
In our recent travels across these cities, we've encountered a widespread sense of disillusionment among the populace. There's a pronounced dissatisfaction with the political status quo, with particular disdain directed at Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael. Phrases like 'traitors' were commonly heard, highlighting a profound disconnection between Ireland's political leadership and its citizens.

Terry, the clear distinction must always be made between genuine asylum seekers, and illegal economic migrants. Now hear me out.(please😂)
The attitude of people, regardless of country in the world is that yes, genuine asylum seekers fleeing war or other atrocities are generally welcome and people are happy to help. This would include Ukrainians etc.
What is not ok, and not wanted or accepted is alleged asylum seekers, who are actually illegal economic migrants. Illegal because they have no visa or passport that allows them into the state.
Economic because they are not fleeing for their lives, they are looking for better opportunities, and fair enough, but there are rules and ways to do things. Eg: we should not be accepting asylum seekers from south africa, algeria, nigeria etc, if they want to come here, no issue, but follow the process.
Yes, many irish did emigrate too, but they were not state funded by their destination countries. So in my view this line doesnt stack up against the tens of thousands flooding into the country.
    Disclaimer:
I am not Irish but i moved here, legally, with my family, we purchased a house, myself and wife both work, pay taxes and the only welfare we receive is the child benefit each month for our 2 kids. Im particularly strong in my view as we came here at great expense, stress and jumped through untold hoops to do it the right way, its not right and its not fair to have thousands arrive in any country , not just Ireland, illegally and live off the state.

Compulsory purchase, skip the planning, take buildings in reasonable nick, get people in them and off the streets. Why are people living in tents in the grounds of the Central Mental Hospital, and the building is standing there empty? Crazy.
I feel like the gov't are dragging their heels, hoping it will all go away! If homeless people were housed, whatever way it happens, i think there eouldnt be as much friction about the whole issue.
