    The song is about the business behind war, and how privileged politicians start them, but expect the poor to fight them, Black Sabbath made the same point in there hit "War Pigs"

    This group is so musically talented. It isn't often that a group can pull off music that has 3 distinctly different parts that work well together. It's no wonder that this won a Grammy due to it's uniqueness. Thanks for reviewing it.

    For this song, "B.Y.O.B." stands for "bring your own bombs." As the music alternates between aggressive and melodic, the video alternates between scenes of soldiers and a party at a nightclub. I don't know whether it was intended, but this is how I interpret the song and video:
    The Iraq War ("dancing in the desert") was fought under false pretenses ("you feed us lies") by the 1% of the American population that serves voluntarily in our military. The government borrowed money ("breaking into Fort Knox") rather than raising taxes to pay for the war. The rest of Americans were barely affected. Meanwhile, on at least one occasion the President encouraged Americans to continue shopping ("everybody's going to the party, have a real good time" and the word "buy" flashing). This sort of apathy toward needless debt contributed to the global economic crash in 2008.

      Any analysis of this song is incomplete without referencing how every middle east war for the last four decades has been at the behest of Israel. "Moses' dry mouth". At the time it wasn't true, but today roughly 44% of the Biden admin is jewish. This includes several key cabinet positions such as CIA director, FBI director, Homeland Security Director and head of the Justice Department. Looking forward to a draft being instated to defend The Occupation State of Israel from the Palestinian people rightfully defending their homes .

      Great analysis. Soad were woke before woke was a bad word. And sadly it has been co-opted to push political agendas. We should all be woke to the hypocrisy, from both sides of our corrupt and ineffective political system. The founding fathers are rolling over in their Graves. FDR warned of the military industrial complex. We didn't listen

    • @user-bc7cb8uu7e
      @user-bc7cb8uu7e 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I attribute the party to being more about the way we treated the war at home. So many people thought about the war so positively. I don't have the right words for it exactly, but it's kind of sickening the way the war and the destruction of so many lives was sold to us. I'm not sure the debt plays into it much, to be honest.

    This is one of the most unique groups you will ever hear. Everything they do is political but they do it in a way that it doesn't sound political it just sounds like a really kick ass song. For instance this entire song is about sending the poorest and youngest among us to fight for our freedom.
    But also the lead singer is a classically trained opera singer from some ivy league school, can't remember which. But his experience there is what inspired him to make these crazy political tunes and they just took off.

    If you look closely to the world history, this song could have been released a thousand years ago and still be relevant today, just like Land of Confusion by Genesis. It doesn't matter if you like the artistry of the song or not, what matters is that they are telling the truth. Why don't the politicians fight the war they start and why do the young generations ( who want to live in peace, I believe) have to be killing each other raising more and more hate. They really did hit the nail on the head with this song.

    Presidents (More like Kings and Generals) used to attend wars. It changed the moment they realized that it's best to double the money by financing both sides, with the lower class killing each other, all the while sitting in a far away temple and watching it unfold. As it unfolds you, of course, have to invest into the ressources either side has (This requires global banking and global share trading), so when the side wins that you bought into, you can make even more money with that. The moment wars weren't a nessecity to save and secure your people or to save food and needed supplies, but a fun activity for the rich to get richer. It's also useful to get rid of unwanted (ie not of importance for or unwilling to join the global market o) people. Not to mention that, especially in today digitlized world, by creating wars by financing oppositions, you can distract people to apply laws in the background that secure your wealth and to keep a boot on the regular folks. War is a money laundering scheme with elites winning and everyone else losing. Every. Single. Time.
