You guys are great and this was entertaining to watch. I was pretty young back when RR rolled out but I remember the fallout and the rumors and it just left a super bad taste in everyone’s mouth back then. And there was scandal surrounding RR even after he left. And even though he’s made up with Pat and came and tried to tell his side, there’s still a very sore spot there for a lot of people. Really has nothing to do with his records at Michigan and Arizona. Wren Baker said integrity was non negotiable. I don’t think Rich Rod when I think of the word integrity. So from that point of view, I really think Rich Rod is a long shot. I think Wren Baker has a plan. And after his Kellog and Devries hires, I am confident that things will work out. Let’s go! 💙💛
Rich isn’t happening and it shouldn’t but I guess we’ll have to keep pretending for a week he is. There is NO WAY Wren is going to fire Neal who was liked by the fan base and then hire the more controversial coach in WVU history.
My pick is Georgia defense coordinator. Go to a 4 man D line an put the worse defense in college football behind us. Clearly best choice. IMO....Can't believe Brown Fired Leslie then he lets Koonz run the same 3 man D line joke zone an gave up 49 an 52 points in 2 of the last 3 games.... Yeah Neal that got you fired...
People please stop will the incompetent past loser coaches. Our defense was shit with Tony Gibson and Jeff Casteel. You guys talked about winning and then throw out past losers.
I was very impressed with the way Baker has handled the Neal Brown situation. He is a strong positive leader in the AD spot. In my mind it comes down to 2 if they want it. Jimbo and RichRod. I think BOTH have demonstrated they are proven head coaches. Bringing Rich back would cause some heart burn because of the disgraceful way he left us. He would probably make Morgantown his last stop and would work his but off to win a NC here. We might have to hold our nose a bit.... but can you imagine WVU vs Pitt in Morgantown in 25?
It’s funny to me how Russ seems to kinda exaggerate everything. He said this is gonna be his biggest tire like a rep replacing a historical basketball coach was not his biggest point of interest at this school.
I really can't envision Wren bringing in Jimbo or Rich Rod... Of the 2, I'd much rather Rich Rod..... Kotelnicki seems like a good fit too... Bill O'Brien??
Hold the rope even when it’s controversial. Too much support around him and a proven winner with donor support, for the haters remember unlv starting qb benched himself because of nil breach
RR lucked out on Pat White and Slaton. If he had had his way, neither of them would've started. They played because of injury. Without them, he's been incredibly mediocre everywhere he's been. Include the sexual harassment stuff, the way he left last time, his age, etc... he's not the guy. Odom wouldn't be as successful as he is without Brennan Marion. I think BM is a sleeper candidate. Chadwell has had success at Liberty despite having the most, outside of Colorado, roster turnover as any team in the country. He's legit. Kotelniki(spelling?) especially if he can bring Seider with him as an OC, is a really fascinating possibility. I am not thrilled with Jimbo, but if you can get him cheap and surround him with great coordinators with the extra cash, he could be successful. Becht is also an intriguing possibility. Perhaps as an OC, I wonder if Pat White is possible. He's been an OC at the FCS level, and he's been working in various roles and capacities in the NFL.
RR is actually a pretty solid coach. He had success here obviously. He had Michigan heading the right direction, the year after he left Michigan they won 11 games. He resurrected Arizona and won a Pac10 Championship. They have always sucked at football. He has Jax St playing for a conference championship first or second year after upgrading to FBS. I mean what is your definition of a good coach?
@scarcheer7211 without the three magical years at WVU, RR has a .57 win percentage. Neal Brown has a .59. Dana has a .57 I don't think anyone considers those other two guys as anything more than mediocre. He's in the same company. I didn't say he was bad. I said mediocre. Injuries allowed him to catch lightning in a bottle for three years, and no one can take that away from him. But, without those injuries, he's been a very mediocre coach his entire career.
@@thywillbedone1965 before PW and SS, RR finished in the top 25 once: 2002 they finished 25th in the AP. Those teams were solid and fun to watch, but they never lived up to expectations. You can argue either way. Is it great that a team is tabbed as #10 in the preseason, climb to as high as #6 in the regular season? Or is it bad that same team finished outside the top 25? Is that the result of a great coach to get national recognition before a game is played? Or is it a bad coach to fall so short of expectations?
Well maybe Kendricks will make up the lost ticket sales if they bring RR back. You all are completely delusional if you think more fans want him back than don't.
How do you not talk to Byron Leftwitch or Jay Gruden? Rich Rod is a firm no- he cut off recruits in Wv, couldn’t recruit Penn or Ohio and lost the Florida connection. Hiring Dana would be a better choice than Rich Rod. How about the OC at Georgia Tech? But honestly you’ve gotta hire Jimbo because you need to maintain the Texas/Florida connection..recruit Penn and Ohio and the B10 areas. We’ve not had a QB or running game in years on offense and no one knows a thing about Linebackers at WV since Don left…things are really in rag tag shape and it shows…
PLEASE......... Not Rich Rod!
I'm glad that Shane Lyons is not the A.D. at WVU. He was the one that hired Brown.
He’s also the one that screwed up the NIL…kinda makes person wonder who he was working for…
Wren will get it right. I think he will also heavily monitor who is hired for the staff. Staff is also a huge part. Equal to the coach

Let the man do his job !!!!
Tony Gibson isn’t coming back to WVU as a DC. The only way that happens is if he is hired as HC.
Probably not going to happen. Best we should be able to offer Gibson is DC and associate HC

It will be neither of those.
I respectful disagree with you both. Great show.

Ryan, you need to go out on your own and maybe just have rush as a guest once in a while
Bring RR home...
Yes!
Rush you gotta get a better Internet connection lol
I really can't envision Wren bringing in Jimbo or Rich Rod... Of the 2, I'd much rather Rich Rod..... Kotelnicki seems like a good fit too... Bill O'Brien??
We didn’t compete for Big 12 under Dana either.
Get us Jimbo. Go big
Hold the rope even when it’s controversial. Too much support around him and a proven winner with donor support, for the haters remember unlv starting qb benched himself because of nil breach
Are you really making the argument Rich Rod would be better hire than Jimbo? That’s insane
What’s to argue Rich Rod always does more with less. Jimbo always underachieves. He won a Championship with Bowdens players.
@ took over in 2010. Won in 2013. That’s Bowden’s players? What some seniors?
I’m sure if Rich Rod is so great there will be plenty of P4 teams that will sign him if we don’t. Yet is at Jacksonville St

WVU was a top 10 to top 15 team years prior to PW and SS. Don’t forget players like Marshal and Avon C.

@@MrShanosha1 Well you do have a point there.
It's not Rich
Well maybe Kendricks will make up the lost ticket sales if they bring RR back. You all are completely delusional if you think more fans want him back than don't.
No to Rich Rod
Rich Rodriguez is the coach you want if you wanna win.
You guys wanting Rich Rod back are the reason why this state gets made fun of so hard. Truly inbred.
I want rich rod at the end of the day.I want to win
If it's Rich Rod ,then he needs to bring back Jeff Casteel as the D.C.
