Mine didn't come out so easily, had to heat it with a hair-dryer. Also needed a help of pincette on the other end to push the gum inside the housing before pushing the cable with hands. Thanks for the video, nice points, nice methods, helped a lot, and thanks for the link to a shop!
Guys be careful when you pulling out the soft cable from the plastic shield. As the video didn't mention about it, I simply pulled it out and couple of wires broke and it's turned into rubbish.
good video, thank you. I had a very hard time prying off the housing (the first thing you did) but I followed the instructions and replaced it. The only problem now is that it won't turn on. The light flashes white a few times and then nothing.
Great video I’m going to try this mine died 2 years ago and my Beats Flex just fell apart. My beats x look brand new so I’m hoping a battery replacement will sort them 👍
Just tried this... definitely be careful when getting the housing off as its so bloody stubborn and hard to get out. ended up snapping cables... so mines dead and in the bin now :(
Great video! I replaced the battery. Unfortunately that didn’t fix the problem. The light still flashes red and white. I think it may be a connection issue where it plugs into the circuit board. How would I check to verify that is the issue?
Thanks for good explaination. got 5 of beats x. have to say 2 of them died because of unaccurate removal (Wires ripped and no space to solder back) of that clip, need to be gentle to avoid that

Hello, thanks for dropping a question. Maybe try a hard reset ?

Mine started off flashing white a couple times then red and white and then I charged it all night and now I don't even see a light
What are the dimensions of the battery? I found an aftermarket replacement that's around 3 CM by 1 CM, will that fit?
