Nothing compares to the civilian losses in USSR ,China and Poland. My mom in the Phillipines was 12years old in 1945. There were execution of civilians without trial. Instant decapitations. Systematic starvation. Confiscating all food. The Phillipino people ate rice husk that Japanese soldiers threw away. Children scavenged garbage dumps at Japanese camps or survived by digging for wild clams

@@phillipboone2005 There are kids scavenging garbage dumps today in the Philippines, no gloves, no shoes; also no tetanus vaccine, as far as I know.
Recycling garbage is an environment friendly activity, but those in that work deserve best protection available.
Eliminating childhood work is a must, requiring the economical needs forcing it to be solved.
But minimal safety at work precautions are not expensive, any NGO could take care of handing gloves, shoes to these people, and also to 'Dalit' women in India cleaning latrines.

Just Remember Russia killed a lot of it's own.
Both Russia and Germany used " scorched earth" a lot starved, Obviously a lot died fighting Germans but probably millions died with the soviet meat grinder,NO retreat, NKVD shooting their own trying to surrender.
      Whole war was horrific.
Poland got screwed over by both Germany and Russia ( Twice ).
Indo China, Philippines and Asia in general lost a lot of civilians to Japan.
And that's why China was up at the top a lost of the time due to Japanese aggression.
Thing is Russia still hasn't learnt, still throwing troops in human wave attacks.
No wonder they have lost well over double of Ukraine.

While the Russians had superior numbers of men and equipment they were poorly led due to Stalin's purge and incompetence at the highest levels. Japan was severely overpopulated. They are reasonably close to most estimates I've seen. Note the small print at the bottom that mentions the additional 15 million Chinese who died between 1937 and 39. It still might be an undercount though. Many put the estimates of Soviet dead at nearly 30 million, and of Chinese at 30-35 million. The problem is we don't really know how many Chinese there were before WWII, so it's almost impossible to determine how many died as a result.

Germans were the most efficient killers in the Second World War (not only of soldiers but also of civilians). If I recall, German soldiers killed Russian soldiers at a rate of approximately 3.5 to 1 (or higher). I think Anthony Beevor mentions this in one of his books.
At the same time, Stalin and Russian commanders didn't care about the lives of Russian soldiers in the same or similar sense that Allied commanders cared about the lives of their soldiers. For example, Russian units could often have fatality rates well over 40-50% but still keep fighting, whereas even half those kind of fatality rates would have more likely caused most Allied units to surrender.

USA did in fact win WW2, US money kept Britain fighting, US ammo, rifles, tanks, ships, grain, planes and bombs kept Russia fighting. US troops turned the tide in Africa, cleared the Mediterranean, liberated Europe then nuked Japan out of the fight. Also US went toe to toe with Japan's navy and airforce and broke its back allowing for those nukes to reach main land. Not to say other countries or individuals didn't play important roles or have key victories. The war was lost if not for the US though.

The elites have been implementing population reduction since 1945, with political manipulation and medicine fully used to destroy populations across the world since the mid-sixties. That’s why NOW, sixty years later, the “developed”, “sophisticated” populations are disappearing. It’s now occurring so fast the elites (the Babylon) are starting to try to make religion important to their populations. No more abortions, homosexuality, women’s “liberation” against the patriarchy, with media and politicians always proclaiming how “free” their people are to believe their propaganda, and enjoy these “freedoms”. All used to reduce their populations. Because, unfortunately, these conceited monsters in politics and state control actually BELIEVE they are best placed to act like we are all livestock. Now, they want to boost their herds after sixty to ninety years of policies pursued that are GUARANTEED to cull those herds.
These people with such delusional belief that they are Gods are all dead. But their descendants are now following the same policies, and are in power, courtesy of their birth. In my opinion, despite not actually beginning the ethnic and population control, they still advocate for population control or they want to inflict further servitude on the people by re-introducing religion. I would pass justice on these “intellectuals” by adopting Pol Pot’s methods to remove the guilty narcissists and the descendants of these butchers of humanity, in precisely the same manner as that Cambodian so intent on unleashing retribution upon the guilty. It’s easy to see who’s guilty. The rich, arrogant, conceited elites who inherited their status which allowed us to all be culled like livestock. In Westminster, Whitehall, Lambeth and Buckingham palaces in the UK. And their counterparts in Washington and New York, Brussels, Paris, Peking (China practicing the most successful human culling), Tokyo, Seoul, and anywhere else where people are being deliberately erased for the benefit of the guilty.
But DON’T tell me to return to the Opium of the people and servitude.

The US came along at the end and finished the Japanese with bombers that the Chinese didn't have. And most of Japan's losses are at the hands of the Chinese as well. Certainly the military ones.

The interesting part about the Chinese casualties was that the vast majority of them were the Chinese Nationalist. China was already in a civil war when Japan invaded in 1937. The Nationalist occupied most of the Eastern part of the country. Mao and his communist forces were mostly in the western part of the country. When WW2 ended and the Chinese Civil War resumed, it became much easier to overrun the vastly depleated national forces.

    • @JamesAyton-qu8fo

This was because America blockaded the weapons bound for the nationalists in their ports. This in turn allowed Mao to be armed with the captured Japanese and donated Russian armaments to out gun thenationalist forces who were superior in number, thus creating the significant foe the West faces today. Would the West be facing a more dangerous adversary now if thing had been played different is hard to say, but one thing is for sure, countless Chinese died in the ensuing massacre and more still under brutal communist rule. Never trust your or anyonelses government. You are just cattle to them. Instead seek the true king who loves you and laid down his life for you. Jesus Christ
