IDL and IOL need to be addressed in Free agency for sure. Need already developed talent there. I’d like to bring in Javon Kinlaw on a 2/3 year deal (he’s had a career resurgence over the last 2 years) he won’t be too expensive. You’d prob have to double dip and bring in another player, I like Charles Omenihu (cheaper option), Osa Odighizua (expensive), Milton Williams (expensive). IOL I’d go LG Teven Jenkins (might be cheap due to injury history), C Drew Dalman, RG Will Fries. I’d try to bring in S Jevon Holland (he had a really bad year so he could be cheaper) and RB Miles Sanders (who will be cut by the panthers.
Obviously, the interior of both lines are massive needs. But I think the biggest has to be the interior offensive line, when it collapses, you can have the best players in the world, and it simply will not matter. Also, it’s somewhat easier to find late round guys or FA’s that can stop the run and are big bodies for the D line.
I still think before we even address guard, center has to be upgraded. We’ve tried about 15 different guards with Bradberry over the years and not have worked out… He is clearly the common problem.
Bradbury is a te playing center. That was his positon at ncsu until he filled in as a center year. He effective as a blocking center gets over matched at center. He make a good blocking fullback / h back Just an observation
I haven't heard anyone else talk about Aaron Banks that's a good idea Lupagus. I also love Kenneth Grant and Walter Nolen. If the Vikings listened to you this offseason I would ecstatic for next year.
IOL - in FA - Teven Jenkins, Mekhi Becton as those ultra big nasty IOL guys. Both injury prone, but that's what Ingram and Brandel are there for. Ben Cleveland from the Ravens is another interesting and young option.
Yes IOL needs to be addressed right away and a true Nose Tackle. IOL being better will make our QB and RB play that much better. You don't get the nervous mistake-riddled QB.
Lions 2 RBs had 12 + TDs in 2024 at their RB position maybe Vikings pick up high draft pick at RB to pick up the running game and try and get their own duo going like the Lions.
If it's the biggest draft need - I think talent at RB and CB because it isn't there in FA, and they can't compete with Gibbs or cover Watson, Jameson or Odunze right now. If it's biggest positional upgrade then IOL, and IDL - which is unlikely to be fixed quickly via draft, and might have quicker more effective "fixes" in FA, but much more uncertainty about Kwesi being able to get the guys they want.
1. Right now I'd draft Iowa RB Kaleb Johnson first, ideally after a trade back. 2. Then find a way to get up to the top of round 3 for Iowa St CB Darien Porter if he was still there. 3. Then use whatever picks were left on the best IOL and IDL projects I could find.
My ideal offseason: Use FA money for IOL (because they have been historically bad at drafting guards) and CB. Draft DT and RB (because the draft class is deep with both of them).
The IDL doesn't seem quite as critical with Tillery likely back, Redmond emerging, and Taki Taimani and LDR as projects. Interesting how they protected LDR on the roster all season but never dressed him. Javon Kinlaw and Milton Williams are two decent FAs that hopefully Kwesi could get after. Hadi might have one more year as a versatile rotational guy in him. Bullard I think is on the cliff's edge.
What?? The IDL is abysmal. It’s literally the worst in the nfl in terms of pass rush. They play the run well because it’s Flores scheme. If this was donatells scheme with this personnel it would be an all time bad run defense. Tillery and Ward are not good. Products of Flores scheme.
Interesting question, if it's need then right now going into 2025 - Ty Chandler is RB1 and the only RB on the roster Jay Ward, Theo Jackson and Metellus are the starting and only Safeties. Dwight McGlothern and Mekhi Blackmon are the starting and only CBs on the roster So maybe you'd start there.
We have been taking that route for years. We have to draft linemen, enough is enough. Kirk was most sacked QB, and Sam was running for his life. We need to protect JJ and allow our RBs to actually attack holes, not get hit behind or at the line of scrimmage anymore!!!
@@tsix8987 They drafted Jurgens, Rouse in 2024, Ingram, Vederian Lowe in 2022, Darrisaw, Wyatt Davis in 2021, Cleveland, Brandel, Hinton in 2020. "We have to draft linemen" is obviously not enough, and obviously not the right answer. Just a generalisation from a simpleton that offers no specific suggestions. Could you consider the possibility that signing O Linemen in FA might be another possibility? It might actually be a better answer than just drafting them. Maybe the real answer is a bit of both. Like basically letting the GM, scouting guys and coaches do their jobs and figure out which players they can get in FA, and after that figure out which guys they can draft that would add the most value to the roster.
I personally think Flores should switch to a 4-3 or maybe a 5-2 with the 2 being Cashman and Pace. Rush Van Ginkel and Greenard all the time, put some real fear into the opposing qb. And invest in a lockdown corner.
The Vikings need to… Franchise tag Darnold. Then trade him to a QB needy team in exchange for a draft pick. Maybe the Raiders at #8 in the first round? If they could pull something like that off, they could then use that pick to get Ashton Jeanty. Maybe have a tandem of Jeanty and Akers? Or Jeanty and Jones if Jones is willing to sign a team friendly deal. Let Mullins go. Re-sign Daniel Jones (as our #2) and start JJ McCarthy. Use free agency to get 2 new guards. Use the lower 1st round pick to get a defensive tackle. Re-sign Bynum and Murphy Jr: But also use free agency to get a new CB. Let Gilmore go. Hire Brandon Staley as our new DC if Flores leaves for a HC job.
The Vikings biggest need has to be the interior of our offensive and defensive line. Other than that another CB or an elite RB would be nice too.

Agree!! Govikings!! So tired of this team😂

In the 2021 3rd round Spielman had 4 picks and drafted Kellen Mond, Chazz Surratt, Wyatt Davis, and Pat Jones. He passed on:
DTs - Alim McNeill, Milton Williams, Osa Odighizuwa, Chauncey Golston, Cam Sample
DBs - Paulson Adebo, Benjamin St Juste, Divine Deablo, Brandon Stephens, Ifeatu Melifonwu, Elijah Molden, (Ambry Thomas, Nahshon Wright)
WRs - Josh Palmer, Dyami Brown, Nico Collins, Amon Ra
IOL - Ben Cleveland, Quinn Meinerz, Robert Hainsey, Spencer Brown, Drew Dalman
UNFORTUNATELY, it's not 1, it's THREE: GUARD, CENTER, DEFENSIVE TACKLE And we've needed the same 3 things for the past 30 years!!! 😵😵😵
The Williams Wall would like to have.a word with you
Coners in my opinion is the biggest need!!
I still think before we even address guard, center has to be upgraded. We’ve tried about 15 different guards with Bradberry over the years and not have worked out… He is clearly the common problem.

Biggest needs have to be C,G,DT,CB in that order
Yup
Agreed, maybe switch CB and DT in the order but splitting hairs there
I haven't heard anyone else talk about Aaron Banks that's a good idea Lupagus.
I also love Kenneth Grant and Walter Nolen. If the Vikings listened to you this offseason I would ecstatic for next year.
He’s bad. Even 49ers fans hate his guys lol. We need to stay far away from guys like that. 49ers are happy he’s a FA

AKA SONIC and KNUCKLES!
Can’t run the ball with anyone if our O line can’t win the line of scrimmage and block.

Y’all right to we haven’t fix that oline in years it time

Cb running back and defensive tackle and guard

LG, C, RG must be prioritized! It’s been ignored way too damn long!!!
they need to replace both guards and center these starters are backup quality only
Fix the O line and get JJ a running back. He was successful at Michigan because they had a great O line and could run the ball
There are so many i can't pick. Best players available.
It's time for some different college scouts.
Put Ingram in an eligible number and use him as a run blocking fullback!!
A new coach.
They need a need outdoor Stadium. I new stadium will guarantee them going to the Super Bowl
Whatever the Vikes need, they will waste it like they have for the past 40 years. Because Chris Carter should have had at least one Super Bowl ring
I personally think Flores should switch to a 4-3 or maybe a 5-2 with the 2 being Cashman and Pace. Rush Van Ginkel and Greenard all the time, put some real fear into the opposing qb. And invest in a lockdown corner.
A 3-4 OLB blitz is basically that. We do that very often.
Oline Oline DLINE DLINE
#1 need for Vikings is to hire someone to make draft picks because Kwesi's draft picks suck!!!!
Build Oline from the draft. Stop picking up maybe he'll work type players.
Can you pick up a team killer instinct in Free Agency?
IOL!!!!!!!
This team is not TOUGH!! until they figure that out will continue to win in regular season games and get smashed by playoff teams!!
#1 need is for more draft picks. We get them by trading McCarthy.
Bradbury got to go too! Too small. We need road graders up front.
A play caller that can adapt on the fly. Some of those plays were just.. not good.
Center
This team needs to get away from being a finesse team. We need hogs on the interior
Their biggest need is heart.
