We weren't expected to contend this year so it makes sense why they went with the younger Turner over Verse who was more pro ready. If Turner doesn't make a huge leap next year then we have to have a conversation about Kwesi because as good as hes been In free agency his drafts have been a disaster, but for now he deserves the benefit of the doubt.
Great summary Andy! Yes, in last year's draft, Kwesi A-M got at least 3 legit 'game changers'/'difference makers', plus a lot of guys who will provide competition at key positions & the quality depth that Championship calibre teams must have.
So if Dallas Turner makes a leap, does this mean we have to either move AVG or Grenard? Would feel like a waste having a player of that talent not being a starter.
I’m not of the belief that players generally shouldn’t have to be good by year two. Teams have to have outstanding young players on rookie salaries so that money can be spent on outstanding free agents. What’s the point of not being good until you are costing the team a fortune? That can’t fit in with analytics.
I think turner will be better, it’s just that we had to all pro edge rushers: ginkle and greenard. Verse was the rams every down edge and only had 1.5 more sacks then turner, turner will be our guy!
@@King43rmkWell said. Give me Turner’s Ceiling over Verse. Turner is only 21, and he will eventually learn, and his role will get expanded if Flores remains a DC
Let's be honest. This draft class didn't turn out good this year.. Yes, it could turn around, but it wasn't good this year.. JJ Mccarthy season ending surgery, turner we traded alot for couldn't get more playing time (don't care who is ahead of him), kicker started hot but really tailed off towards the end of the year, and the rest looked like 2nd or 3rd stringers.
Kwesi’s drafts so far haven’t been great. 2022- disastrous. We are going to feel the effects of missing on Lewis Cine and Andrew Booth this upcoming season. Grade: D 2023- Jordan Addison and a bunch of nobody’s. Grade- B- 2024: Traded away tons of picks for Dallas Turner. Not a fan of doing this only because I don’t see him as a generational talent. Grade: C+ 2025: 1st and 2 fifths 🥴. So many holes on this roster it’s crazy. We got lucky we had a super easy schedule this past season.
Pace- wasn’t a draft pick. Mekhi- is below average. Assuming JJ and Dallas develop is all speculation at this point. Going on the data we have currently, Kwesi has been terrible at drafting.
Rebuild from the most obvious mistakes and win again without the mistakes of the last few games! Let's go Vikings! Skol! 🏈💜💛
Dallas turner had 238 pass coverage snaps in his last year at Alabama so the “he wasn’t asked to cover at Alabama” statement is kinda inaccurate

Thanks. You should do a season recap video! W/ stats and accolades etc If u have the chance.
I'd love to see Akers get a contract and bo Richter get some reps

A good topic right now, considering how much criticism of Kwesi A-M I've seen....

Did you do a list like this for the free agents

The thought that we could have stick and picked Verse is frustrating

Turner will be better, just needs his snaps which is tough currently. I’m more concerned about our 3 picks in the draft cuz of that pick
@@King43rmkWell said. Give me Turner’s Ceiling over Verse. Turner is only 21, and he will eventually learn, and his role will get expanded if Flores remains a DC
If Dallas Turner played the same number of snaps that Jared Verse did, hed have doubled Verse's sack numbers.
Not really turner will be a monster for long time in purple.
If mason graham or will Johnson fall out of the top ten what do you think about trading up for them
That would cost WAY too much
Could probably get it done for a second and a little more. IMO it’s worth they’re both game changers at positions of need
Both game changers on 2 of our biggest needs. Personally I just say fuck it and do it.
Really really bullish on DT, Taki and McGlothern. I think all 3 play very significant roles next year, maybe DT even makes things awkward for AVG
Verse dominated and turner was average. we picked the wrong guy.
L take turner played 3x less snaps and had 3 sacks and a int while being 3 yrs younger than him
You have some of the weirdest speech inflections I’ve ever heard

Huge vikings fan but just like you kept saying you weren't worried about Cine. Enough with the excuses.

you forgot about Ivan pace and Mekhi Blackmon
and JJ McCarthy and Dallas turner are gonna develop

I think Turner will be a beast. Just Made no sense bringing in two vetran guys for him to compete against. Would have liked a CB
Exactly my thoughts. I thought Quinyon Mitchell was the right pick
They planned on that CB being Khyree guys…
@@olumideadebayo6110rip to my man, but a 4th rd CB is different than a 1st rd CB
