    Missing from the list:
    Mississippi,
    Arkansas,
    Florida,
    Arizona,
    Idaho,
    North Dakota,
    South Dakota,
    New Mexico,
    Rounding out the Bottom 10:
    #1 West Virginia,
    #4 Texas,
Mostly due to political considerations, lack of OB/GYN specialists, criminals in State Government, refusal to accept Federal funds for safety net programs, racism, poverty, homelessness, public education, labor laws, ...,

Don't forget Pennsylvania on those lists. I don't know where it stands but I'm certain it should be on a list. Check out many ongoing videos about Kensington Philadelphia where drug trade and prostitution go on right out in the open. People shooting up drugs and nodding off right on the streets while the area is just a mess with homeless people and trash all over the place.
Then we have Pittsburgh where the politicians are throwing their hands up in the air and taking a do absolutely nothing approach with crime. They've instilled a "purge" mentality as we like to call it, where you can call for police help and they are not going to answer, unless its violence or murder, but I wouldn't count on any quick help period with their mentality.
The city of Pittsburgh is having a major issue with buildings sitting empty with a projected 50% loss of buildings being used by 2029. So obviously the local businesses and politicians see no hope or way out, but clearly just gloom and doom for residents living in PA.

@@HansTyndale ... Time was from anywhere in Pittsburgh you can't see Pittsburgh. There's less air pollution now, in large part due to the collapse of the steel industry in the US.
Almost every large urban city is facing the same problem. It's cheaper to do business in the suburbs. This started after WWII when cars became ubiquitous. People no longer had to walk everywhere. Even with traffic jams it still took less travel time to get more than a couple of miles away.
Louisiana, Mississippi (Midtippy), Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and anywhere outside a major city in the Plains and Rocky Mountain States fall into the desolate zones.
Major cities like early adaptors Philadelphia and Detroit, lost major sources of tax revenue but still had the same costs. So they cut where they'd get the least pushback.
And now thanks to tele-work, on-line shopping and more extensive road networks, the suburbs are moving to the sub-suburbs.,
      And the wheel rolls on.

@@WTH1812 Yes but the wheels are about to fall off the bus.
from AI: Key Takeaways. Japanese steelmaker Nippon agreed in December 2023 to acquire U.S. Steel at a 40 percent premium to its stock price. Although once a crown jewel of American industry, U.S. Steel in recent decades has shuttered factories, sold others, and exited segments of the industry.Apr 22, 2024
It may not happen, but a company I worked for back in the 90s was bought out by a Fortune 500 company and over a period of time they had gutted the whole business and took the customer base to another state. This practice is still used today so I'm not going to be shocked if the last vestiges of US Steel ends up in Japan.
But here's what many seem to not notice, when people leave a state that is on the brink of going under, what are they heading towards? Have jobs been created that will be enough to take all the people leaving their states? Or are they going to end up over burdening the place where they move and drive that state down quicker?
Don't be too surprised if the economy crashes so there is enough cannon fodder for WW3. The Federal Reserve, (not part of US government) has created trillions of dollars in debt for this country and they will want to get payment on that. With the formation of BRICS and digital currency, there is competition where the Federal Reserve could be made obsolete if America collapses. But if the competition is eliminated and the phony money machine keeps printing money they will get their big payout. As Ross Perot once said, "In the meantime you will have destroyed the country!"

quite honestly - my mind was @ the opposite approach - and at the end of the video I couldn't come up with an "ideal retirement destination" - cause I'm old and retired ! -- NO - not 1 desirable place to move..... that I can comfortably afford being retired !!! -?- Is this what Biden's America has come to now ? --- For many apparently so - as about 50% of Americans now have a passport ! Historically for more than 200 years - only 15% typically had passports ? = People are looking to leave the entire country - not just the worst states !!! > Young 'and' old - both - digital nomads and teachers + retired ?

Don't confuse Washington State which is located on the west coast with Washington DC. Furthermore, Washington State is very different on western & eastern sides. Many states have major differences between urban &agricultural areas.

I'm 74 and I never would have thought - in my lifetime - that I would want to leave the entire country (!) - not just certain states !!! > Reason being I can't find any state desirable enough to want to move there ? NONE - not 1. Perhaps because I'm not wealthy enough to afford any of the very few places remaining ? --- Half of all Americans are reported to have passports now and must be thinking like me ! Historically it's been about 15% -- but now -- apparently Biden's America has changed things for many ? --- My focus has been on the Philippines for up to a 70% lower cost of living than the US !!! > Nice weather friendly local people who speak English and plenty of expats from many countries retired and enjoying it. = Comfortable - and - affordable.

Such a shame it has come to this here. --- Been searching world wide for about 2 or 3 years now just to see '''if''' I could locate an "ideal retirement destination" -- and I'll be damn -- I really like Siem Reap Cambodia also ! --- Apparently (!) some 250,000 US expats have moved to Cambodia this past decade. A combination of digital nomads teachers and retired people. --- I'm recently getting the feeling that I might be late to the party..... 400,000 are estimated to be in the Philippines now too.

Texas was doing well until the present totalitarians shut down oil. Rather than moving, would residents of these states elect radicals snd elect people who know how to create jobs by lowering the tax on business, stop demonizing business, prioritize Americans over giving away privileges (medical, education, etc) to unknown entrants to our borders.
