So looking at this I think the failure was the fact that only passive emotion is inside the clones. There's fear. There's definitely some lust. 2 things that stood out. Usually, even normal grunt can have the capacity for violence even in the face of literal lose situation. Most madness animation shows that in most cases, the grunts is going to take the chance to kill the Mc, or run away to get a gun or with back up to do it again. (This include throwing hand with the enemy despite the obvious difference in abilities.) From this, it's maybe plausible that the undesired traits like fear is too much on their gene, and lacking the drive for violence. Which in Madness, is an absolutely crippling thing. Everyone to their grandma throw hands, regardless. Fear ? Nah. Almost non-existent and if it does, doesn't mean they'll pass the chance to kill you once they get better equipment. The grunt in the vids looks way too geared, which if I'm being honest is already the big bad dude being considerate enough to give fighting chance. Sure no gun, but they got tech, and numbers.
