I work in a Hyundai dealership, so have seen hundreds of these over the past 3 years. I can say, we have not seen any real common problems relating to this car, even customers who drive them hard, and trackday them. Yes every car sometimes has things fail, and the i30n is just the same, but they have been isolated things, few & far between. Personally, the ride is a bit too harsh, and the exhaust is a bit too loud, for me to run one as a daily, but maybe if I was younger (and single) it wouldn't be an issue ! Edit : a DCT is planned for this vehicle soon, along with the i20n :-)

Mine has a problem with the differential lock gear but it has to get changed and we gucci. Other people with the panoramic roof are having issues with noices in highspeed manouvers. As you said, every car has things fail, but hyundai is very generous and very polite with the 5 year warranty without any km restrictions. I love mine, will tune it next month with a widebody and a new design and will upload a small video of it showing that all. Can't wait and I CAN 100% recommend buying this car! I had one and sold it! Steering was too stiff even on eco and was uncomfortable. Clutch slipped constantly also and was so hard to drive. I have driven other cars of similar category and this was by far the hardest to drive.

Yes, maybe not power-wise but the 275 hp has the fancy limited slip diff and much more kit (power-seats, heated steering wheel, alcantara seats, ...)
