@@willdunford9806 I unfortunately failed at the First Contact Meeting with Devon & Somerset! Furthest I had got in a fire service recruitment but the day just did not go my way at all from beginning to end haha. I now have about 7 or 8 fire service applications on the go, 2022 will be my year 🤞🏼
This seems more fitted to the question: "What makes you fit for the role of firefighter ". Would the answer be the same for either question ? I may be overthinking it but if you could shed some light I would greatly appreciate it . Thank you !
Man, I have my interview in 10 days and I'm super anxious. There are 60 candidates left with 16 positions which means my chances are slim. I bought your book and I am watching your videos too but I am very worried I will mess up the interview on the day.
Maybe remember the start of the sentences you will use then when you follow up with an answer you can adjust it more to your liking for example if I remember that each paragraph starts with Also, in my current job I am required to...... This requires a..... So in a nutshell I want to be a firefighter because I feel I have..... The interviewer will obviously not know that after you have said those lines the rest of what you say is simply off the cuff.
Great to hear you are looking for a career in the fire service. Getting accepted requires lots of planning. I recommend you study the role (so you can demonstrate you know what is expected, and that you have the skills/qualities to match) and you also study the PQAs as you will need to demonstrate these in both your application and in the interview. With good preparation, there is no reason why you can't do it! 😊

I'm 15 and looking into becoming a fireman. How hard is it to get accepted? once I've turned 18
