Hands Free Annealing? Amp Mate makes it happen!

  • Well, in my quest to save as much time as possible, I went ahead and jumped all the way into annealing. This is a look at the Amp Mate from Annealing Made Perfect. I was annealing some shorter cases for a friend last week, and decided to show off how to change case sizes and make the adjustments needed to get it running smoothly.
    This thing is great once it is all set up. The adjustments are tricky at first, but once I understood what each part does and how to set it for optimal performance, this went much faster! I should be able to swap between my cases and my friend's in just a few minutes now.
    Let me know if I missed any detail that you want to know about and I'll answer as best I can or make another video showing off what you need help with.
    This is an awesome system to save a lot of time and free up your hands to do other things. For a person like me who has more things to do in a day than I can possibly accomplish, it is nice to be able to set this up, turn it on, and go on to my next task while it does the time consuming job of annealing for me!
    Thank you for watching! I hope you have a great day and a very Merry Christmas this weekend!!!

    Time to get into working up my load for the PRS rig!! I'm looking forward to getting into this now that work is a little slower. Make sure to stay tuned to see what else we do. I have some cool things on the way to show off while I'm working the steps in this load. It will be fun for the next few weeks!!
    I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and I hope to see you next week!!

    My elders all reloaded their rounds. I wish I had paid more attention. I wonder what they'd think of this equipment compared to the stuff I barely remember them using. Thanks for sharing, Chad

      Never too late to learn! My family never reloaded any, but we always had firearms around on the farm for hunting and varmint elimination. So my Dad is amazed when he sees all these things I've been learning the last few years since I got into shooting a lot and doing competitions. I don't have kids, so I get to spoil myself 🤣. But, I will share what I learn here and maybe show others some cool things or different ways to do things as I figure them out.
      I know there are a lot of us that would be more than happy to help you get started if you want. Feel free to ask questions and me and others will answer as best we can. You can get started with some Lee equipment for very good prices or find some used stuff at estate or garage sales. You don't have to start on the high end like I did 😂 Hardest part is finding the components you like and then keeping a good stock pile of them!
      Thank you for watching, Patrick. I really appreciate you. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful weekend!!!

      Dude! I saw his video post and I was like "dang it, I got mine coming out tomo!!!" 🤣🤣 His videos are much better produced. I not had time to see his, on my list for the weekend. See if I missed anything. Always good to learn more about your tools.
      It is awesome for me. I can set it and then go do other things. I like it!!
      Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas, Michael!! See you on the next one!

      Pretty neat, I agree. Really glad I got the whole system. Does exactly what I hoped. Frees me up to do other things and I don't have to worry about a flame exposed in my house. I worry the cat would knock it over and burn my house down 🤣
      Something like the EP Integrations annealer is more cost effective, but this does what I need. I'm lucky to have it.
      More loading videos coming soon. In the zone to load again, so I'm getting after it this weekend!!
      Have yourself a very Merry Christmas with your family, Dale! Appreciate you, man. Have a great weekend!!!

    AMP should sponsor you. Im certain I cant warrant either.. But very interesting. Take care.

      That would be an awesome sponsorship to earn!! Maybe someday if I do well enough! It certainly is a costly tool. But for me, looking to free up as much time as possible and still get perfect results, it is the best option out there. Very happy with it so far! More to come for sure. I'm excited to get into loading now that work is a little slower and I can get home a bit earlier.
      Thank you for watching, Doug! I wish you a very Merry Christmas and have an awesome weekend!!!

      @michaeldunn150 That would be more likely than AMP! Be sweet, get to test the new gadgets before everyone else.
      I'd take earning myself an invite to the Rock Chuck Olympics next year tho! That was a fun series.

      It is! Great for me. Set it up and I can go do other things. Don't have time sit there and anneal 1 piece at a time. Huge benefit for me!!
      Thanks for watching. I wish you a very Merry Christmas, sir! Have a wonderful weekend!!!

      That is awesome!! Piet is great. He inspired a lot of my rifle build for sure, lol. I really appreciate you coming by and taking a look. We are getting some wet, rainy weekends (finally!!!) so I am getting a chance to start working on my own load for the PRS game. This week's video is looking at my CPS primer and first powder drops with the Frankford Intellidropper. Will release that in 2ish hours when I finally get home from work!
      Dude! I didn't realize I had picked up more subs!! Last I got a chance to look, it was in the 920s. That is awesome!! And I do very much appreciate it and happy to have you follow along as I get into this more and more!
      I hope you have a great rest of the year!!

    Very nice setup. Curious if you can put marks or stickers on the amp mate to adjust more quickly for the various calibers to be able to go back to the adjustments quicker in the future?

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! And great minds must think alike 🤣 I actually already got a sharpie and made 2 marks for the main 2 heights I've needed. Easy enough. My friend has a Dasher, so I have to drop the tube a bit, then back up for my Creedmoor and his as well. Quick to swap case sizes now!
      Great idea, and it works well.
      Appreciate you checking one of my videos! Hope to see you around more in the future! Have a great week!!

    Too much automation for me but hey if it works for you

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      🤣 That's the best part, man!! Really, the number one reason I went with this instead of something like the EP Integrations annealer is the ability to set up to run automatically and not worry about an open flame. Worried the cat might get curious and push the propane bottle while I'm in another room doing something else and burn my house down!! This way I can work on other things while cases anneal and not have any open flames or propane gas in my house. Definitely a limited use item, but for me it is perfect!! And it just looks like alien voodoo when it's running, so that's a bonus 😂
      Thanks for stopping by, Scotsman. I really hope you have a very Merry Christmas and awesome weekend, man!!!
