One thing about the CX build that I'm waiting for is the results of the LED headlight. Firstly if it passes the beam test during MoT and what it's like as a headlight. I've been going to pull the trigger on an LED for a while but the reviews of anything under £180 are usually crap.

How much do the older Ducati Sportclassics go for there? That'd make for a dope retro style cafe racer. Can't wait to see what you come up with for the Monster ❤️
Did you ever do a tutorial for implementing the new speedometer/tach? I couldn't see it in any of your videos or in the wiring ones. I am having a hard time figuring out how to convert from analogue to digital. I have the same speedo so it'd be super helpful.
I also have the same rear strip light and slightly worried about MOT. I like your backup solution with the extra ones wrapped around the piggyback shocks (in fact, do you have a link for these lights?). I'm thinking whether to have a plan B for rear indicators myself now...
Isn’t a wire going to the seat for rear light going to be annoying for access to electrics? Seems like along the back of the hoop would be good and tidier for wiring?
There’s enough slack on it and I shouldn’t expect the seat to be up too often. If I’d have put it on the hoop I’d be covering up that beautiful red rear end of the frame
I'm about to start working on a cx500 of my own I love your soultion to the rear end. Any problems with clearance between the seat and the wheel? Would you have had a problem if you had stayed with original rearshocks? Great videos love your builds!
You may already know about this but moto gadget makes a product called the m-unit blue and it's like a blue tooth brain for your bike that you wire all your electronics into and you can monitor different aspects of your bike with via an app, use keyless start and a bunch of other cool things, it's a really interesting product that I'm using in my build and thought you possibly use it in your next build
Great work as per usual, if you want a smaller flasher relay search fleabay for 'LED FLASHER RELAY for YAMAHA SECA' it works perfectly with any combination of led's and/or standard bulbs. Looking forward to the dial video, thinking of getting one myself.
I have the same universal speedo as you have here. I did watch your video when you installed it, but can't seem to find it now. I'm having issues as it came with no wiring diagram, or colour code. And can't seem to find a substantial diagram on Google... Any help would be great. Cheers
For The Bold - dreegez that’s good to hear! Doing the wiring of my controls and front turn signals waiting for rear setup and the tach like the one you have seems pretty good. My big step will be fab engine mounts and alignment. Great work and keep vlogging it has helped me a lot.

Thanks. Everyone says make the most out of sleep now and we thought people were exaggerating. The first 2 weeks you’re lucky if you get 3 hours a night. I’ve been up since 4am now for example. All the best though. It’s worth it

This one is just normal bulb no LED. But the CB750 will be. I’ll look into LED and MOT soon

They vary depending on condition. This is very well kept with full MOT and Termigoni exhaust system

I’d did do one for connecting up the tachometer. But in all honesty the Speedo went into the bin after the second ride.

Plan B is always handy especially if you have any worries about passing.

No. Not ece approved. Our mot doesn’t need the rear light to be.

No problems for me, but the originals felt a little soft to me, so perhaps could be a problem?

You just declare the, all them decide if you want the value of your bike to include the whole changes

In all honesty it was working blindly with just testing each cable. But I did end up swapping this speedo with a better one.
Was the tach pretty straight forward in wiring up? Did yours come with a new speed pickup magnet?
Lights were simple. And yeah there’s magnets for the speed. All straight forward.

They are. It’s just 3M tape
does the digital fuel gauge indicate how much fuel is still inside the tank?
No it doesn’t as there isn’t a sensor inside these tanks

My rear LED strip passed MOT no problem. Tester didn't even mention it! Luck of the draw...
