Can it mute/unmute channels as easy as opz ? Does it have mute groups ? Can i connect it to a bluetooth speaker with bluetooth and not with the aux ? What is the maximum lengh a sample can be ? How do we name projects ? How do we select/search projects ? (10 000+ is nice, but if its not organizable in folders or searchable, then its a pure mess) How much memory the system and presets takes out of the 8GB? How much is really left for us to put inside? Are samples drag and drop as easy as the OPZ with seperate folders per track ? Or are they complicated as the KO2 and need an internet connection to transfer ? Can we easily back up the whole thing and easily wipe-and-restore as the OPZ? How long does it take to charge? The OPZ with its 40 minutes to charge was a charm compared to the OP1. Can i put whatever i want on each of the 8 tracks or are some tracks limited to a specific type of sound? (Ex. Drum vs synth) Can i built my own channel with 24 different sounds on each key? And if yes, what are the limitations? Ex. Maximum lengh for each key? Maximum total lengh for the 24 samples across all 24 keys? Does it come with a charger and cable ? Can it trigger external video like the OPZ? Can it trigger external lights like the OPZ?
Not really interested in this one but had to click cus I recognized your name. Watched a boiler room set of you like ten years ago and had to rip it as an mp3. Thanks for that set
It’s very similar to the OPZ in features, but the screen really adds a new dimension in ease of use. The sound quality of the synths and drum samples are on par with or surpass the OP-1f. The OP1 is super unique with the 4track tape recorder, the XY is a more typical “groove box”.
@ interesting. what workflow do you personally prefer? and do you think it’s an easier transition from op-z than op-1? it sounds like it is which makes me wonder why they put it in the body of an op-1
dat first track was the best demo i seen of this device; but i just feel all these software enhancements should of been added to the field; and just have the feild be availble in two colours
It’s a niche cutting edge musical instrument with the build quality of a MacBook and more features and capabilities than anything else available. These things are made by a relatively small team and cost a lot to make, so they have to charge this price to make the product viable. The PO and EP series as well as the OP-Z are all more affordable options Teenage Engineering offers.
More features and capabilities.. MPC just spit out it's coffee!! I get your excited and this is really cool and portable.. but lots of stuff will crap all over this.. not even in the same category really as far as features and capability.. it is great at glitching though.. Say this as someone with a ko2, used to own opz, and will probably buy this too anyway.
@@virtualflannel you said has more features and capabilities of anything else on the market? Bro are you living under a rock or just a paid shill?😂 name 3 things opxy can do that nothing else can’t???

ok this thing looks crazy i was not expecting that outro breakdown. sick showcase!
Thank you dude! Paid almost the same as this thing costs for my MPC2000xl way back when they first came out. The machines are pretty wild these days.
Nice showcase! I wondered if you'd have one of these already. Going to see if Steezo has one next ;)
Thanks for checking it out! 🔲🔳
Hey man, Bobby of Vrtua here. Cool to come across one of your vids. The OP XY sounds amazing!
Been a minute, cool to hear from you! Going to have to catch up and see what you’ve been working on lately! ☑️🤍
@@virtualflannel same!
So this is what $2300 bucks sounds like?? 😂 🏴☠️ great video
Looks INCREDIBLE!!!
It’s my fave beat machine ever tbh.
@@virtualflannelcan I make songs on it by looping vocal samples? Do you know how long each sample can be time-wise?
Can this slice samples ?

Angelic sound, more of this
Thanks 🙏 😇 👼
@behringer , for no particular reason.
they can’t and they won’t 😅
No oled screen?

The machines are really different, the OP1 tape workflow makes it really unique.
Nice track.

what are the physical hardware differences between this and op1f that you think add to their costing?
