As an ESL teacher in China, I use both versions in my class. My students are to analyze both songs. I get amazing results from them. As many times as I see these videos, I still have to wipe a tear or two from my eyes.

Daybreak...touching story 🙂 Song was writen ang singing for first time by Han Hong ,one of the famous Chinese singer and songwriter. She wrote that is based on a true story, which moved her considerably. At the moment that the cable car fell and crashed, the father tried his best to hold his son high. The two-year-old kid survived, while her parents both died. Deeply touched by the story, Han also adopted the kid. To have that emotional response at 10 years old shows his compassion even at that young age. Not only did he sing that performance whilst unwell, he also sang it in Chinese-not his native tongue. The emotion and almost cry in his voice, his delivery and overall performance was perfect.

Dimash LOST two of his very much beloved MENTORS to COVID19 in july... And he rescently released a tribute to one of those mentors/teachers (who he considered a granddad). It's called "Qaragym ai". And Dimashes mentor composed the music to this piece for quite some time ago. PLEACE react to Qaragym ai (if you haven't allready)... Of all the reaction videos I have watched about Daybreak, you did the best job. You gave the video the justice and praise it deserves. I love all of the songs Dimash does, but Daybreak, Love is like a Dream, and Autumn Strong are some of his most powerful, emotional pieces. What many Dears appreciate about Dimash is his sincerity and humbleness in both his music and in his personal life. Yes. His voice gives him credit as one of the best singers ever, but his personal life experiences add to the man he has become. I think all the Dears hope that he never loses that humbleness and shyness. If he lets the money, fame, and stardom into his life, I fear that his music will ultimately suffer. So many great singers have allowed fame and fortune to destroy what made them great earlier in life, and their later works are lesser as a result.
Dimash hid from the audience that by the time he left the stage he was u=in severe pain and he lost his voice again but recovered in time for the following week's performance when he sang All By Myself. The doctor had said nit to sing high notes. After the performance, the doctor said he had told him ‘no high notes’ and Dimash said they weren’t his high notes lol. Of course they weren’t anything like as high as he can go and he does miss out a run he does in the Bastau concert, But he still managed to do a heart rending performance.
Dimash is a true proffessional in what he knows what to do best all his music tells you a story whether sad or good and it transports you along with him everytime he sings

One of the other gentlemen competitors gave him a Chinese concoction in drops that afternoon. Maybe that and God did get him through. Immediately after his performance he was in great pain again and couldn’t talk. Wow, huh! He sang this again at his Bastau concert when he was healthy. You will see a difference.
I think his name is Li Jian and he called Dimash his importent nephew! They al was there for supporting Dimash and they al were really scared for what he did go throue and if he was going to make the song. They were so proud and glad after he did it.
Before Dimash went on stage to sing, he was watching the performance of his friend Jam Hsiao and the Lion Band; they're very good and eventually finished third in the Singer contest. He and Jam have also sung together in China since then.

I'm so touched everytime I watch this performance. The added emotions with his loss if voice and subtitles really get to me. He said in an interview in 2017 after The Singer that he had no voice going on stage, it was extremely painful during the song and when he came off he had no voice again. I love all his renditions of Daybreak- but- you can,watch the Basteau performance, please do. With that one, he took my heart out of my chest and dragged it along with him. Why would the song say his mother was smiling? because if a woman has the strength and knows she is dying, she wants her child to remember her smiling. And about the emotional connection: the actor or singer has to modulate their own overt emotion and not cry so much, this gives the tears and the space to cry to the audience (something I learned in drama classes)

Also in the gala show after this contest he meat Han Hong and she told everyone there that Dimash now was her second adopted son!!! So in that moment it al went kinda familey instent affair becouse during this show Dimash hade started calling Terry Lin another contestent there in his 50's father or Papa Lin becouse thats how he feel about him and it also is his biggest respect for him to do that! The doctor had said nit to sing high notes. After the performance, the doctor said he had told him ‘no high notes’ and Dimash said they weren’t his high notes lol. Of course they weren’t anything like as high as he can go and he does miss out a run he does in the Bastau concert, But he still managed to do a heart rending performance.
Dimash is a true proffessional in what he knows what to do best all his music tells you a story whether sad or good and it transports you along with him everytime he sings

Es profesional pero se cuida y responsable quería y dió un buen espectáculo buena performans aún con fiebre dolor de garganta , pero la persona inteligente se cuida y no da vergüenza de decir , estoy enfermo , también dió un concierto en medio de la lluvia ,busca eso y veras como cantó , no dejó ni acá enfermo ni por él clima la gente su público parado esperando o suspenda por nada , eso es humildad humildad , no iba a subir para dar lástima , si no podía o perros alguno , hizo que un médico lo revise eso es honestidad honestidad , a igual cuando lloró mucho la tarde que tubo un accidente su mejor y único amigo que iba a cantar esa noche con él , y muere esa tarde , un gran cantante y profesional de tenis !!!! Si lloraba en cada estrofa y pidió perdón y se bajó , a los días hace él concierto e invita a los padres del amigo fallecido y les cantó muy bonito triste con lágrimas pero dió él concierto , y desde entonces no lo paran más a Dimahs , tiene dones es profesional un sobrenatural pero tiene su corazón grande para todos él lo trasmite al público así con una gran performans ok??? No veo que digas !!!! Si es profesional !!! Y no puede estar triste por algo?? Pero da lo mejor de él , por favor ahora Dimahs no se puede enfermar , ???? One of the other gentlemen competitors gave him a Chinese concoction in drops that afternoon. Maybe that and God did get him through. Immediately after his performance he was in great pain again and couldn’t talk. Wow, huh! He sang this again at his Bastau concert when he was healthy. You will see a difference.
I think his name is Li Jian and he called Dimash his importent nephew! They al was there for supporting Dimash and they al were really scared for what he did go throue and if he was going to make the song. They were so proud and glad after he did it.

Before Dimash went on stage to sing, he was watching the performance of his friend Jam Hsiao and the Lion Band; they're very good and eventually finished third in the Singer contest. He and Jam have also sung together in China since then.

I'm so touched everytime I watch this performance. The added emotions with his loss if voice and subtitles really get to me. He said in an interview in 2017 after The Singer that he had no voice going on stage, it was extremely painful during the song and when he came off he had no voice again. He said it was the grace of Allah that allowed him to sing while on stage 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I love all his renditions of Daybreak- but- you can,watch the Basteau performance, please do. With that one, he took my heart out of my chest and dragged it along with him. The stage setting, somehow Dimash looks more fragile there, his facial planes more visible, he looks like a distressed waif - it lends a huge wallop to that performance. Great reaction, Derek. He can sing so high notes but I can’t hear an Angelic voice. I just can hear like shouting as it hurts my ears, soul.

Why would the song say his mother was smiling? because if a woman has the strength and knows she is dying, she wants her child to remember her smiling. And about the emotional connection: the actor or singer has to modulate their own overt emotion and not cry so much, this gives the tears and the space to cry to the audience (something I learned in drama classes)

So in that moment it al went kinda familey instent affair becouse during this show Dimash hade started calling Terry Lin another contestent there in his 50's father or Papa Lin becouse thats how he feel about him and it also is his biggest respect for him to do that! So it kinda got to familey photo during that. (They are still like that and also invites eatchother to there conserts and sometimes sing duet with Dimash song "Unforgettibleday")Also both there smal gesters towords Dimash was so touching. Just the smalest thing like in the last minuites on stage when al came out and stod in a line at the stage Han hong got there first and Dimash and Terry secound after her.. when they got there Dimash was kinda inbetveen them but behind them...they both gentle grabed Dimash armes and pushed him forward beetween them. Just that little gentle thing blew my mind with proud of them and Dimash.

Any chance you can react to a guy from China called Zhou Shen? To tell you a bit of his background. When puberty hit, his voice didn't catch up and because of that, he got bullied so much by people calling names, etc. He stops singing for a long time but because of his passion for music, he chooses to sing on a platform on the internet that he can choose not to show his face. He works very hard to get where he is now. He is a very polite, humble, and funny guy. He was studied dentistry at the beginning in Ukraine but he can't really keep up with it because of so many reasons and he changed to studied Classical music there and now he likes to combine Classical and pop music together to introduce to those who didn't know what Classical music is. He did very well and because of that, so many people around the world are reacting to his performances and for those who react to him, their Subscribers went up so quickly. He has also entered the same show 'The Singer' you are reacting to Dimash in this year 2020.
He can sing at least 9 different languages. His knowledge of music and his breath control is very good. He can hit very high notes but they are not hurting your ears. A lot of people also said that his music can heal your souls. As depression and Anxiety person myself, sometimes I listen to his music to sleep. His voice can calm me down even with his high notes.
