It is my understanding that, "4" & "5" are a part of the trilogy. Then, Foundation's Edge and so on. However, for the full recommended order by Asimov, there is a whole playlist beginning with I, Robot. From the playlist: "Foundation is a science fiction short story collection written by Isaac Asimov. The author recommends reading in the following order- The Complete Robot (1982) and/or I, Robot (1950) Caves of Steel (1954) The Naked Sun (1957) The Robots of Dawn (1983) Robots and Empire (1985) The Currents of Space (1952) The Stars, Like Dust (1951) Pebble in the Sky (1950) Prelude to Foundation (1988) Note: Forward the Foundation (1993) was then unpublished, but would have followed Prelude. If you get this reply and could reply back I'd appreciate it when was this a TV series I have a feeling that when it was a TV series I was out of the country for many years cuz I know this is the first I've heard of it LOL sincerely David Raphael AKA ball the blind bedroom guitars
One minor scientific error (not the extremely low population density of Trantor at 500 per square mile, despite the city being miles tall). Terminus must have some iron and copper in its soil if it has Earthlike life. Since the people there can feed themselves after the collapse, it definately does. I'm just assuming those levels are in the PPM range, and therefore "isn't a trace" was an exaggeration.
It seems unlikely that an earth-type planet covered with cities and dependent on 20 agricultural worlds would have a population of 5 times what the current world population is. But hey, Trantor had a population about 15 times that of the earth when the book was written.
1 or 1.5 square mile must be converted to cubed miles and into feet. Which is about 10x10x10 feet of space per human if only a mile down. It's vague due to Dr Asimov using words like "about or nearly" lol id trust he did calculations that made since before print.
Psychohistory is a consistent set of axioms and theorems. Whether that set of axioms represents anything in the real world cannot be "proven". That's a question for the future to decide.
Thank you for the book it's been a long time since I've approached this I read the book originally in the early nineties but it seems here that the parts of the book missing so this must be in a bridge edition of the book I don't understand if I'm correct why people do this content providers do this when they have a 9 hour file as it is a 9 hour upload is it so much to just let the whole thing go through there are videos that are up over 10:11 hours and then there's also part one and part two what give us a subpar book to listen to if this is the case if it's if I'm wrong I apologize deeply and I do appreciate the upload either way sincerely David Raphael AKA Bob the blind bedroom guitarist PS just have this like instinctual feeling that I'm missing something here LOL

Apologies. These are all copies from a list of stories recorded a long time ago. We try to make the audio quality better when possible, but if the story has a part cut out it is from the original.
It didn’t cut out. It’s an entry from The Encyclopedia Galactica but it’s only a snippet. While the David Dukes version is abridged, when they do Encyclopedia entries, they add an echo to his voice to *easily* indicate when you’re hearing an entry. It was jarring not to have that in this version.
I think that the issue is that many of these were copied over from tape before we had the current digital quality. Pair that with Scott Brick's natural voice and we get an AI sounding narrator. I have questioned many other recordings by other narrators long before we had the quality of AI voices that we do now.
Where is the Larry mckeever version why has it been wiped from the internet I want the version narrated by Larry mckeever and I want the internet to stop being so shit
Imagine that you could erase the past 50 years of SciFi movies and books. This is the OG that influenced Star Trek, Star Wars, Dune, and so many other books, movies, TV shows, etc. Whenever I listen to Asimov I can draw straight lines from his books to most pop-culture SciFi. He was a real scientist that wrote science fiction and science texts. His style is very dry, layered like a soap opera, and organized like a scientific study. He is a part of a handful of authors that created science fiction as we know it.
