Charging Mode:
Inserting the batteries, then the charger will automatically detect the battery type, along with the battery resistance and input power, to select the best charging current.
You can also manually select the constant current - 3Ax1, 2Ax2, 1Ax4, 0.5Ax8 and 0.25Ax8
Grading Mode:
i.e. capacity test
The CH1 to CH4 bays support this function. The VC8 charger tests the batteries' real capacity by "charging-discharging-charging" the batteries, which can distinguish the performance of the batteries.
Storing Mode:
When the battery is not used for a long time or has a long-distance transportation, use the VC8 charger to recover the battery to its rated voltage. The CH1 to CH4 bays support this function.
When the battery voltage is at its rated voltage, its self-discharge rate is the slowest and most stable. So this function can maximize the battery lifespan and save energy.

Iv been waiting on a preorder for this charger, but it has been delayed some time now, luckly i came over a Dragon V4 charger still on sale, thats the type of chargers you should make! Xtar is one of the top makers of chargers, so focus on something like the dragon, but at a better price point, and you Will sell like crazy 🤟

One thing to be careful about: Old NIMH batteries are sometimes misinterpreted by the charger as Li-ion batteries... It might even show NIMH for a while (blinking) but then suddenly change to LI-ION. It *seems* that once it stops blinking either NIMH or LI-ION it is then locked onto that mode (but it is not always correct in its choice). So make sure to wait until it stops blinking before you walk away and let it charge for hours (as I imagine that could end badly).

When I place batteries in the bay and mode is set to "Cur" nothing happens. I received this unit last week. Am I doing something wrong?

I have 2 this charger Xtar. I need 2 x USB A stick, who when be compatibile with this.

Grad Mode like a Refresh Battery or Breakin Battery bro?
The grading mode is to test the battery actual capacity via charging-discharging process.
Hard question: When you place a battery into the VC8, Lithium ion or
NiMH appears, right? What does it mean if the battery type is flashing
during charge? The manual doesn't mention that.
Yes. When you put batteries in the slot, the charger will automatically detect the battery type. And if you put NiMH in, it will need 5 minutes to finish this detect work.
Does it allow for 'storage mode' on all slots or just the left ones?
The left four slots are available.
mine will only charge 4 cells at 240 mA , if i go over this or try to populate all bays the screen goes off and it goes into a reset loop , why is this , is it faulty?

Someone help me. One half has just stopped working after six hours.... Screen doesn't work and don't know if it's actually charging or not.

What is discharge current? Can't find it anywhere
