    Good tutorial. I especially like the fact that you repeat certain processes (like press and hold the enter button to make all the slots perform the same function) rather than assume that we remembered the first time. A repeated reminder never goes amiss.

    The description of the steps the charger performs for "Break-in" and "Refresh and Analyze" were identical. I don't understand what the difference is. For both she said:
    9:50 1) charge 2) rest for one hour 3) discharge 4) rest for one hour 5) charge until fully charged
    14:22 1) charge 2) rest for one hour 3) discharge 4) rest for one hour 5) charge until fully charged

    • @PowerexbyMahaEnergy

      The steps are the same, however, the Break-in mode is a very specific set of charge and discharge settings whereas the Refresh & Analyze mode is adjustable by the user.

    I have this charger now more than one year and really like it. Good bunch of features, very good selection of charger/discharge currents and reliable. The only thing that is annoying is the awful display. Very bad readable even at a small angle, only one value, long waiting time to see the next value.
    I hope Maha will bring us a new charger with similar features and a much better display. I think Skyrcs NC2200 could be the best example, it cycles all values, is very good readable and shows values for all slots at one time.

      @@PowerexbyMahaEnergy The displays works but it´s 1. hard to read, if you look from an angle you see all digits on and 2. only one value for one cell at one time. Like Scourr wrote take a look at Skyrc NC2200. It´s very good readable in almost every angle, shows one value for every cell and cycling these values. It also have a status LED, I can see from the distance if a task is done.

    Excellent video tutorial. Very well explained.

  • @fermogo
    @fermogo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thank you for the video, seems a good product, but I send two inconvenients for your comments:
    1) This PRO maintains the same final tricke charge than WizardOne model, what is neither necessary nor convenient for LSD (Low Self-Discharge) batteries according to Manufacturers like Panasonic in Eneloop Batteries range. Strange for me no customers' feedback were received about this, to implement a disable option. Keep in mind that when a long (charge) or very long (break-in) process will finish, I, like most people, won't be able (working, walking...) to access the charger to remove the batteries until many hours after, and all these extra hours will damage the batteries.
    2) This PRO 'Discharge Termination' is 0,9 V., and indicates that the Break-in mode follows the IEC standard for determining battery capacity, but according to IEC 61951-2 cell shall be discharged down to a final voltage of 1,0 V, as was in WizardOne model (obviously discharged to 0,9 V capacity results higher tan IEC). So this PRO really does not follow IEC, unless by means of a break-in mode program with different final of 1.0 V in discharge, what is not mentioned.
    Regards

    • @PowerexbyMahaEnergy
      @PowerexbyMahaEnergy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the suggestion, we will work on that :) As for the C and D cell adapters, we don't carry those. The Pro version is the latest charger and replaced the older model WizardOne. Interesting charger. I like that it have discharge-mode to 1A, so I wonder why the manual says I should use
    max. 0,6A discharge. And I think the display could be much more detailed.
    Only one cell, only one parameter (instead of one parameter for all slots or all parameters for one slot) is very bad for such a big display, it´s the worst I ever seen. You need to wait very long to see the stae of all 4 Slots
    Skyrcs similar charger, the NC2200 shows parameter for all slots and also changes after some seconds between
    the parameters.
    I hope the Pro will be updated or a new charger will be made by Powerex.

    • @PhilUKNet
      @PhilUKNet 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I would refresh and analyze first. This may repair the battery and it will give you the battery capacity rating. If the capacity is still low, you can do a break-in. This is basically the same cycle as refresh & analyze (charge, rest, discharge, rest, charge) but the charge and discharge rates are a lot lower. I didn't realise until watching this video that you are supposed to discharge before doing break-in, so if you decide to break-in you should discharge first.
