Yeah so good ol' two-mouth Sonic snuck his way into the video for an extra 10-20 seconds around 4:30... That wasn't intended, he just did it without me knowing. Lets go with that excuse.

The two mouth sonic thing is actually a glitch.
Basically, Sonic has two mouth on his model because you HAVE to see it no matter which way he is facing.
They fucked it up when they added Super Sonic and both mouths show up
Le Docteur that or they lazily duplicated one side of the model and reversed it to make the other side.
Remember when tails give sonic a chilly dog at his birth day? Now tails need 2 chilly dogs for sonic.
Tails got his nickname from having two tails, so now do we have to call Sonic Mouths?

Unpopular Opinion Time:
Lost World isn't really so bad IMO. Yes, I know, it is very flawed (what Sonic game isn't?), but for one of Sonic Team's more "experimental" games... this could've went a lot worse. I mean, the level design is relatively decent, the game is graphically nice for a Wii U game, and (I know the irony in saying this on a glitch video but) it's not very buggy-- Or at least it wasn't for me on my normal playthrough of it on Wii U. Also, I can't help but find some charm in the game. It just has such a nice soundtrack and art direction. Speaking of art direction, people often compare it to Mario, which I won't argue with. But whenever people compare Lost World to, say, Mario Galaxy, I find them to be wrong; I see far more Sonic Xtreme in Lost World, with it's tubular stage designs.
I suppose what I'm mainly getting at is: At least this game wasn't a complete disappointment like a certain 2017 Sonic game ended up being.

This game is pretty good, but people hate it because it was a Wii U/ 3DS exclusive, and the Wii U version was lazily ported to PC.
MarioLuigi0404 I've played a lot of the PC port, and had no real issue with it's quality, it worked perfectly in terms of me just playing the game. With that being said, it really isn't a great game, fun enough, but the basic mechanics of the game are just kind of slow and awkward.
I played the demo on 3DS. I know that's not the same as the full game, but I thought it was ok. Nothing to write home about though.
I found the game to be generally enjoyable. The story is garbage for sure, but the gameplay was an interesting take on a 3D Sonic platformer that still emphasizes speed

Just how dark souls 1 had hit detection, gravity and some physics events tied to the frame rate, this breaks when you change it too. NICE!

The glitches in 30 fps mode are likely due to collision and physics calculations being messed with.
Normally for PC games, the game simulation (collision detection, physics, animations etc.) Are done independently of the frame rate. Effectively the game runs these calculations at a fixed rate (such as 60 times a second) and lets the renderer draw everything as fast as it can. That way, whether you're at 60fps or 10fps, everything still works properly.
For console games, because they know that the hardware is always consistent (and therefore can guarantee a certain level of performance), they often don't bother and tie everything to frame rate. This is why running older console games at 60fps on an emulator often causes them to run too fast, needing hacks to make them run correctly at higher frame rates.
It looks to me like the team responsible for the PC port didn't consider the implications of this and just did a quick and dirty port. The result being that running at a lower frame rate than the console version causes inaccuracies in the simulation, events tied to certain key frames being skipped and so on. In other words, they couldn't be bothered.

My guess is that with the two mouth super sonic part they only made one side and then just copyed and flipped it but forgetting to remove the second mouth

The controls in this game are so weird that when I played Sonic Generations after beating this game I had trouble with the controls for a bit.

I know I shouldn't be surprised that the company who has struggled for decades with basic physics wouldn't understand the absurdity of linking the gameplay loop to the framerate, but come on Sega you're a professional company, pull yourself together.

That version was typically more hated than the other versions, but I haven’t played it myself

On the 3ds version there is a very confusing enemy that took me a YEAR to defeat, not kidding, still a great game. Also this is not a new years dad joke or something.
