Ikr, how does that even work? I'm guessing they consider pay off all the loans and collecting all the items as beating the game?
new leaf was pretty easy, I got everything (except for a couple of the public work projects and idk if this is true but I heard that if you visit the fortune teller 20x you get a fortune teller store but i'm not sure) in a few months, and was able to get a perfect town.

I found a glitch in this game once, but I’m not sure if it was consistent in every copy. I discovered by accident that when I filled up my pockets and caught a snail, then chose to release it, it would fly away instead of crawl away like it normally does. I thought it was absolutely hilarious.

This game makes me so nostalgic. Back when I was kid I would play this as all the time. Before school, after, on my days off etc. Back when I had no responsibilities and not a care in the world. I really miss it.

I think the last glitch was sort of discovered by a speedrunner on accident, though it didn't happen exactly like that.

my friend's new leaf game glitched so that instead of having their own unique sayings, everyone in town says "snoutie" instead.
That's not a glitch it's just villagers influencing others, thus spreading their catchphrase

The animals in "betaville" will actually be random villagers, not only the ones in the video
I have no idea how, but at some point I managed to get my Island Data permanently locked in, even being able to visit it without my Link Cable plugged in, it would duplicate any items it had when it locked in, so I could just loop back to my island for days and sell everything, I could also delete items that way as well, since it refused to accept having any items that it didn't have locked in.
Sadly I have no idea how I got the Bug, and eventually I found myself incapable of visiting the island again with no idea why.

You can get an unused item called "Dummy" due to a error with a villager giving you options.

I've played this game for most of my life, for more hours than I care to share, and I've never seen any of these glitches! That's wild to me tbh. I can't think of any glitches I encountered during all the countless hours I've poured in to ACGC; it's a well programmed game. Surprised you were able to find so many.

And another glitch is if you release a snail when it says that you have too many items the snail will fly away but this only happens in the gamecube version.

6:24 I assume that they have pitfall seeds buried on sloped terrain so that they could test how it would look and function, since it's angled vs flat.
4:56 Couldn’t you attach the items in your inventory to letters? That gives you inventory space to pick up the items and escape.
You’d need an item attached to every letter, too, to be truly stuck.

this is reminding me of a dream i had a couple years back involving animal crossing glitches. i like, went across the ocean on to an island, and a villager was there but their name was messed up, alot like this, and id never seen an animal crossing glitch video. weird.

I know this video is quite old but if you’re like me and still return this game every now and then, here’s something you might wanna know.
If you try using a bag of bells instead of a furniture item, it does NOT work.
The bag of bells will float like normal but the moment you leave and come back in the house, the bag of bells is gone instead.

Punchy got stuck in betaville and just wants to leave but he has to suffer there with the other weirdos
Do you have to Hold L+Up while in the menu or only when pressing drop, exiting the menu? Can you do it with money bags?

Is it possible to exit the Beta town afterwards? Does it reset after you restart the game or are you just stuck there? Also, can you dig up the pitfall seeds and take them with you?
At 5:00, you are not exactly "stuck" in that situation. You can put items in the letters you read, or simply use the wallpaper and carpet you have in your inventory in the room. Easy fix!
Well, the point of it was that, under the right circumstances, you can get stuck. For a more perfect example imagine I had no carpet or wallpaper in my inventory, and all my letters already had attachments in them.
I finally got this game, time to glitch it
I think I may have discovered a glitch myself, though I'm not sure if I'm the first to see it. Basically, if there's a villager standing right outside your door and you save at the Gyroid, the camera jitters like crazy, and you get stuck outside. The villager in the way prevents the animation from going through properly, I think. The iris in transition still plays, but you're just standing outside your door like a weirdo. Nothing bad happens, though. If you reload the game, everything's normal. Hope you read this!

I just wanna say, the animal Crossing characters scared me so much as a kid. Like they horrified me lmao, not that I played the animal Crossing original game as I was born later than it was made, but when I had saw that my dad had the game and he showed me photos of the characters I got so frightened
