Great video! Now I have a job tomorrow to straighten my Schibuya stab which has been a little off straight since I got it. Thanks Chris.

Thanks for letting us see you go through the motion.
I was testing the tiller weight (everything was bought used except the W&W AXT riser) and had to mount and dismount accessories multiple times on several risers. The SF Premium bolt was cranked down, 18lb limbs were +25. 28lb were +34. Happy that I checked
    Good vid👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    Excellent video. Thanks!
I wonder if you ever tried to recover/fix warped limbs. I've made some experiments to change limb tips shape with electrical tape with some success. But nothing permanent so far.

Robert Kowalski i have never tried to correct a twisted limb. I always assumed even with heat and a compress to put it in line, the limb would eventually twist back again.

@@ChrisHillOlympicRecurveArchery That is certain. But if you make one side of limb tip groove shorter and other longer (place where string loop sits), then string will apply different force to each side of the limb forcing it to twist a little. I've heard this is how limb makers are tuning their limbs as last step of manufacturing process.
I have one pair slightly twisted limbs, nothing major but it still bothers me a little. I do not have courage to file anything from limb tip side groove but tried to experiment with electrical tape as build up material to see effects of it. So far I can tell that it has no effect on limb alignment measured at tiller bolt screws or Beiter blocks placed near the bottom of the limb. It appears to have effect on middle part of the limb.

@@Piasecznik72 that seems very dicey to cut the groove just right to line the string up but also not slip out. I think that would be out of my wheelhouse. But seems like a viable alternative for correcting if you are good at woodworking.

Great video Chris, as usual! ;-) Just a question: So basically, the "bent" is only due to some excess of glue on 1 side, from factory? The fix consist just on ungluing, clean-up, re-glue?...

Davo BIG correct. The rod isnt really bent, just offset in an angle when glued instead of straight.

how do I align a Beiter Centralizer?

    • @ChrisHillOlympicRecurveArchery

Raymond Schroeder not sure you can. That stab doesnt really have an end cap to reheat and align. That system is different from regular stabs.
