@@EbikeRepairs thats not true at all,it all depends on the manufacturer you buy it from weve installed unlocked versions of this controller that have been going for years and pushed 100 amps dc,controller lifespan is also related to batteries ,the motor your running and types of wires ,if there is bottle necks,if you buy from only places like Siaecosys,Dunn,or QS motor you wont have any issues or warrenty concerns
Siaecosys has also made there own app in replace of the clunky MQcon app and theres shows real time controller configuration and values, but you need to buy through them as they coded it for their controllers, ive looked at amazon and i wouldnt buy any of these type controllers from there from what im seeing they dont look rite
This is a really simple repair for someone who knows what their doing. Unfortunately for this controller that's obviously not you lol 😂😂 Thank you for your contribution to e-waste ☠☠
I did some research on these controllers and i did find out an issue that may have got alot of people,if your battery is fully charged if its 72 volt then batt will 82 volts if you start off and have regen enabled and it actually takes you beyond the 82 volt it will kill the unit and the lcd, this problem is with all the svmc series in the version one (V1) its been corrected in V2 as well as the brackets they are on the endes now.
I have that same controller I took a peek inside when it was new to make sure all the solders were good before giving it power for the first time and it smelled like it something shorted out inside bad. But everything looked ok. I hooked it up and it's been working with no issues for 6 months now. But that smell was bad.
just thought id say it does matter where you buy these from without a doubt ive found that Siaecosys is the best and biggest manufact of controllers they have a partnership with QS motor aswell they allso have their own sabvoton apps and software thats really stable ,i bought a svmc7245 unlocked from them and no kidding had 120 amps dc programmed in without a hitch ,ive also found their prices and delivery times much better ,one delivery was 4 days china to australia and only cost l;ike 10 bucks extra for memory they have ali express and ebay stores as well as direct sites, buuy your controllers from the one of the big manufact not the resellers

Yes, I have two of them with the same story... I tried to fix them, replaced mosfets and a couple of capacitors, but nothing. I guess he has a problem communicating with the hall drivers... (DO NOT BUY).
just had a clone 80a version go pop when i was playing with it, the fets inside had gone short, no doubt to the poor quality of them. replacing them with decent fets is like 50 quid on a controller that was 60.... so end of the day i'll have a good strong but still fake controller for like 110 and i could have got the real deal for like 140..... buy cheap buy twice......
@@EbikeRepairs yeah I managed to find some on AliExpress.... Stop laughing lol. No not new ones at a cheap price or expensive fakes, but genuine ones they have cut out of recycled equipment at 25% of the price. Ordered extra to allow for blown ones and damage during no doubt unskilled removal. Customer reviews said genuine but only about 90% good with short leads so ordered 30 to replace 18.... Cost 19 beer tokens instead of 36-44 for new. Still be interesting to see if it's worthwhile, if they are 90% good I'll be stocking up for future projects.

They should be able to cut regen above 84v in the settings!
I always wondered why my regen didnt kick on until about 81 votlts!
i have 2 of the V2's on my bench right now that are blown, like craters in the pcb blown. it has definetly not been corrected.

Sometimes the plastic/silicon used is awful! The reason this controller failed is unknown.
