Don't forget to check out my Cleaning Playlist! I have TONS of cleaning videos and routines all saved into one playlist for you! :) th-cam.com/play/PLvSqH5MmCGu8wWQhDNsCGKS--BioOpRki.html
My husband and I have started making our bed every morning and it has really made a difference in how our entire room feels. Thanks for making this video! Love the tips.
Great tips, thank you for the video. I believe "the cleaner you keep it, the easier it is to clean". Spill on the stove? Wipe it up, don't let it bake on. After a hot shower, wipe down bathroom surfaces; it doesn't even take a minute, the steam loosens crud up and allows dust and hair to stick to the cloth/tissue. No need to do an intense cleaning every week or two (or month), a little bit every day makes it so much easier.
This was so good. As a mom, it's challenging to get everything done in the home. But I found many perks through this. Like I'm seriously about to put dishes in the dishwasher right now!!
I like the clear & practical video.I'll pour lemon juice down my drains. The air purifier & letter/mail organizer are simple smart ideas.Sometimes I wipe my kitchen & bathroom sink dry,at night.I'll try to do all sinks, more often.Roaches like water. Thanks for the tips.
One thing I do in my kitchen is, I never have dish soap or anything like that on or around my sink. I have two matching dispensers, one for hand soap and the other for hand lotion. Everything else goes under the sink.
I started doing most of these things about a year ago... what s difference it makes. I also got a serious air purifier.... clean is beautiful. It really uplifted my mindset. They may seem like little things but they all add up. Thanks for the reminder.
Absolutely love this!!! I use a lot of these things already but that spray for the kitchen sink for smell and that shoe organizer I must get!! Has my pregnancy nesting in overdrive now which I needed!🙌🏾 From the Gadwas channel
We just recently got that same vacuum on sale at sams club. We love it! We keep it downstairs and vacuum everyday! Makes it much easier than carrying the heavy one up and down the stairs!
If you wanted to save some money and it is not bad for the environment either just use a mix of vinegar and dish soap. I have been a Method lover for years and never believed the hype of vinegar but after time am now a convert
I am a bleach lover! I water down bleach with a small amt of water & put into a spray bottle & constantly am scrubbing my sink. It's white so it stains easily. But yes you can save money by just running lemon rinds in garbage disposal then remove. Same effect. Less money
dishwasher...i don't have one. the solution for me would be to wash the dishes every day, but if I were really that good at being tidy I wouldn't need videos like this.
You'd be surprised. Setting aside some more time every day to do the dishes will save you a lot of time scraping away food off the plates while you are washing them. Better yet, wash the dishes right after you eat off them. I'd say it's a great tip, but there really is no magical way to have a clean home without cleaning it.
Right before you and your family sit down to eat, run a sink full of hot soapy water and a sink or bowl of hot rinse water. As each person finishes, they scrape their plates, and put silverware and glassware soapy water to soak. Stack plates, pots and pans to the right of the sink, ready to go next. Dish washer of the day can pretty much just run their hands over the silver and glasses because the hot water and soap have done the work, rinse each, put to left of sink on counter to drain. I never use a dish drainer because it takes up counter space parked there all the time, plus it is unsightly and usually gets yucky. Next wash plates, then pots and pans. As you put in plates to soak, use disinfectant to clean up kitchen counters and stove top. Round up any dishware from bedrooms and living room and den (if you allow eating beyond the kitchen) and then wash plates, pots and pans, cutting boards, coffee carafes, etc. Designated dish dryer dries everything and puts it away. Wipe down counters by sink, spray sinks and clean them out. Put dish cloth to dry and get out a clean one for tomorrow. No sponges to collect e coli or other germs. This takes 15 minutes tops. Important for all in the family to do their part in this regard. Assign these tasks or you will be stuck with them. I would always tell my kids you get a nice bed, food, clothing, allowance, and medical care, so you have to pay back with your chores. It's only fair. Nobody gets something for nothing in life. Cooperation makes it happen, as they'd sing on Sesame Street. I did my kids a favor and raised kids who pitched in to help out at home.
It is so funny watching this video and seeing the similar things we have to organize and decorate lol! Hi, I'm Nikki :) stumbled across your channel since we both do cleaning and organization videos. I also have those same clear storage boxes and didn't realize that they interlock! Thanks for the tip. Gotta love fresh vacuum lines :)
Enjoyed your video. I have the same trash can. There is a way to hide the trash bag, you place the trash bag inside the removal ring and the tuck bag inside the can and replace the ring and it is good to go once you replace the lid. Looks so much cleaner as well. Look forward to watching more of your videos.
I have seen a lot of these video's and yours is by far the best. These are great, PRACTICAL tip to use daily and when in the habit, are quick and easy to do. Great job! Also, you have a beautiful home and I love your kitty!!
It's not so much that it's not for everyone, but rather we're conditioned to think so, we wait too long, and most of us just don't have the right routine or system based on our lives, household, and personality. Sometimes, too, it's how often you clean. Most folks wait until it becomes a big thing that takes ages to do vs minutes, making them hate it and not stay on top of it. I was the laziest, messiest chick on the planet, from birth and into my thirties lol. Hated lists, huge procrastinator, despised cleaning, no organization, no routine, didn't throw stuff away, dishes everywhere, clothes everywhere, etc. I actually bragged about it just to feel better haha. I eventually found a routine and a system, learned my weaknesses and worked around them (more trashcans, hampers, extra cleaning products in every bathroom for easy access, massive decluttering, no dishes in the sink, etc.) and also learned that is way easier to clean in baby chunks, tackling high traffic areas daily or weekly, sorting cleaning several times a year, rather than waiting. If it's a chore I hate, I do it more often and it turns out far less tedious and faster, not to mention the added incentive of feeling less stressed after. Same thing if something took forever to do; I just do it more often and clean before it actually needs cleaning.
Same mom worked full time job had 4 kids and never fed us junk food or had messy house . Now I have two young kids and I always look back and think how she done it.
Love your cleaning routine, the only things I would suggest 1) you seem to have allot of tooth brushes including electric, I would either store them away or get a cute mirror tray to put them all on. 2) invest in a cordless Hoover, I have Gtec air which has made a huge difference to my cleaning routine. I now Hoover everyday since I got it! Great video and tips tho! Xx
I found those lock together containers for a DIME EACH at Walmart!!!! Needless to say I bought ALL of them...all 20 haha...what a game changer in my house. Everyone uses them for their stuff and it's so neat and nice.
kissndMAKEUP this is how my house looked when I was young too. But with 4 young adult kids and thier kids...several moves and previous owners clutter left behind....it's a disaster... Now I'm clutter blind instead of myself being a triggered clean house who worries what others think like I used to, witch..lol
You may want to try diluted Lysol to disinfect your sink instead of Method antibacterial soap.Using antibacterial soaps can contribute to antibiotic resistance. Also if you use diluted Lysol please be carefull not to use it near any heat sources like stoves etc. because Lysol may be flammable.
Thanks.. I needed all that common sense. My house is spotless as well. Just takes time to keep it clean. Stay on top of every little thing everyday, and you all can have a clean home too! Lazy people end up with a dirty, cluttered house. Some people just don't care.
Yeah, they're great vacuums. I recently picked one of their newest Rocket ones with the dual brush head over the Dyson, and went from avoiding vacuuming for as long as possible, especially carpeted areas that required the cumbersome upright, to twice a day haha. The Man Unit is blaming possession, of course.
OMG I ABSOLUTELY 💕all the shades of pink you have in your decor palette.. When we built our home I took a leap of faith and painted our kitchen a soft vintage pink, white bead board cabinets & grayish/silver & white subway tile and blingy silver quartz countertops . So I absolutely love your style . You Are so very inspirational.
Thanks so much for getting right to the point! It's great viewing and listening without having to see and hear about all of your sponsors taking 5 minutes or more and then losing one's interest. Thank you
Hi Erica. I know that there is just such a pleasant feeling to enter a place that is neat and smells delicious. Nevertheless, I've been hearing over and over that all cleaning products are hazardous to our health . To smell them etc.... they say the best and non toxic is to use plain white vinegar! Yes, depressing to hear but I beieve so. I am not radical I light candles every now and then (even those are toxic). I would recommend that whenever you are using those products use a facemask and open your windows of the area you are cleaning. Once that done run from that room and come back when the odor is gone. I live in France and we hear a lot of this . Kisses, thank you for your videos. They are relaxing , you seem to be a really nice, calm girl.
Goldilocks it makes a huge difference when u have kids ..I have 4 a 13, 8 and 10 yr old twin..i have a routine at night and in the morning now is such a habit that I just natural and I try to keep it tidy...even though is not 100 I like when a neighbor says u keep the house so good it doesn't even look like u have kids 🤗...lol
When your bed is covered with scatter cushions and throws then you do indeed need to spend those extra three minutes each morning gathering them up from wherever you had to stash them overnight in order to get into the bed in the first place; it's the strewn accessories that are cluttering the bedroom every morning. But a duvet and two pillows take 15 seconds to set straight.
Great tips, may I just make a further suggestion pertaining to the receipt holder: always keep it in the car. File the receipts while you are waiting for the car to warm up.
These were so helpful. Thanks for sharing! New subbie for sure - looking forward to seeing more (i loading my dishwasher the night before too, loooove a clean sink in the morning :)
Looks great, thanks. However videos I’ve watched start off with a clean area 😂 that is not regularly the case. Why not showing how you do when you got a real mess, with mud from outside, grime in your kitchen, children’s and or pets mess in the living room, laundry.... thanks for the inspiration.
Since I make cleaning videos on TH-cam for a living my house is always clean. We don’t wear shoes in our home so the floors are never dirty, or muddy. I don’t have dogs or kids either. I keep up with my home by cleaning daily so if you’re looking for a dirty house, you won’t see it here. Thanks for watching!
Great tips n beautiful style. i already do some of those. Im going to look into an air purifier. Some of it is just being organized like that receipt folder and sorting mail. Then u dont waste an hr trying to find stuff that u couldve used otherwise.
I think the love for cleaning is in your blood...😊 Love-love your home.❤❤❤ I wish I could have such patience and strong will to keep my apartment tidy )))
hate hundreds of our shoes on the racks in the hallway, i always organise them but boys just chuck them anywhere, driving me mad!!! loved your wee storage! great tip, I'm just going to have a look for something like that online 😊
Get a iRobot Rumba vacuum. It saves a lot of time, goes places that are hard to vacuum and will pickup surprising a lot of stuff you miss with your regular vacuum. I send out mine everyday since I have two long hair cats!
Your house looks so nice! I try to do these things, but I'm just so busy in the mornings on my way to work....lol I am not a morning person, but these tips are definitely great and something to strive for! I need to get some of those containers for under my cabinet. I didn't think of that tip! I do have the small drawer organizers in my makeup drawer. I have been looking for a shoe holder! I actually have the Shark Vacuum...lol Great idea for the receipts!
Very nice & organized i just love it girl, thank you, i still trying to get there, not guite there yet! Especially when you have kids running around making a mess, but thanks again!
Trends seem to fluctuate between cool (grey) and warm (cream) neutrals. Grey has been popular here for a few years now, I can already see warmer colors coming back.
Hi Erica! I loved this videos/all your videos. I have a video suggestion. Could you do a video on how to combine your things with your husbands things when first moving in together? I am getting married next spring and thinking about having to organize my fiancé things with mine is going to be tricky (I am super organized and he keeps things forever). Thanks :)
great tips.if you spray some bleach on your kitchen sink it will came out as new,get rid of the yellow stain, just a tip.Lovely house, very bright and gorgeous.x
I don't run the dishwasher at night becasue we have solar power which only gives free electricity during the day. You really should get a sink strainer to catch all the grunge. A friend of mine has an iron rule for her family: If it's on the floor, it goes into the rubbish bin. She's completely ruthless about it, and it didn't take long for those slobs to get the idea:)
i have 15 comforters and blankets that are all used. i need a neat closet storage idea that will allow me to pick the one that i want without making a mess of the others.
I store mine between the mattress and box springs of the bed they've used on; sheets are there too. Just fold and arrange them so they're a similar height and all can be reached easily.
Enjoyed this video, definitely motivated. 🙌🏻 baskets are everything for organizing. So helpful. I have the cordless and bagless shark and I am obsessed with it. It's so fun and easy to use haha! I totally agree, a small lightweight made all the difference.
Erica Lee I seen this video before but had to come back to look at the purifier. Is that something that your still using? And do you recommend it? I have been looking into it and I really have been thinking about the Honeywell air purifier. I hope to hear back from you soon. Thanks love for the tips and motivation. 😚
+Jacqueline Peters Yes! I use it every single day it's great! It is currently running at the end of my bed right now because we turn it on every night for the fan :) Definitely one of my best purchases ever!!!
Erica Lee Thank you. I'm getting it in a couple of weeks. I'm still loving the Grove collaborative products too that I started getting back in March. I love the apple cider one right now. I can't wait for the winter scents.. ☺😃
When you get out of bed you should fold back your duvet to the bottom of the bed for a few hours. This reduces bedbugs . you sweat so much out during the night. I spray lovely smelling disenfectant on it too😃
The clear acrylic drawers for makeup are good utility wise but when you can see all million products, it feel it’s visually not pleasing. It’s a hard balance to find, still trying to figure that out myself for my vanity.
Don't forget to check out my Cleaning Playlist! I have TONS of cleaning videos and routines all saved into one playlist for you! :) th-cam.com/play/PLvSqH5MmCGu8wWQhDNsCGKS--BioOpRki.html

These are the best. Clean house tips I have on TH-cam. Simple and doable I am lazy, this helps me to work smarter not harder.
Very practical tips! If you stay on top of it it never feels like a chore 😊 Thanks for sharing
The best tip is to live on your own! Lol...😁😄🙂🇬🇧
I fantasize about that everyday

the cubes under the bathroom sink are a good use of organization! I may recommend stackable drawers so you don't waste all that vertical space.
And something so the water won't leak on her stuff

It's not. I got tired from watching this video. My back and feet hurt.....I'm just going to hire a maid
Love your cleaning routine, the only things I would suggest
1) you seem to have allot of tooth brushes including electric, I would either store them away or get a cute mirror tray to put them all on.
2) invest in a cordless Hoover, I have Gtec air which has made a huge difference to my cleaning routine. I now Hoover everyday since I got it!
Great video and tips tho! Xx

I love these tips. It's simple and to the point.
Thumbs up for the vacuum tip alone!
I always spray my garbage cans with Lysol on the inside before I put in a new bag.
Yup or hose it down & let it dry outside if it's really bad.
Your videos are to die for! They're so relaxing to watch haha :) your home is so beautiful!!!
misslilmisshappy ur soo true girl..I thought am the only one felt that...

the reciepts folder . yes! i need tht
Love your video!! :-) so calming watching a grown up home without kids, how my house used to be. Now...ha! Now, it dubs as a daycare.
You have such a beautiful home! I need to get one of those shoe organizers! Is it sturdy enough to be sat on?
Marissa Antoinett Yep! You can find similar organizers at IKEA and possibly Target.
I love it! I love having everything organized!
I think the love for cleaning is in your blood...😊 Love-love your home.❤❤❤ I wish I could have such patience and strong will to keep my apartment tidy )))
Hahah I think you are right!! :) LOVEEE cleaning!! Thanks for watching!
Come to my messy apartment, Erica )) It will bring you tonns of joy 😆😆😆
I also don't wear shoes in my home, and don't allow family members to.. we wear socks . This helps keep the high traffic area clean🦁
hate hundreds of our shoes on the racks in the hallway, i always organise them but boys just chuck them anywhere, driving me mad!!!
loved your wee storage! great tip, I'm just going to have a look for something like that online 😊
Get a iRobot Rumba vacuum. It saves a lot of time, goes places that are hard to vacuum and will pickup surprising a lot of stuff you miss with your regular vacuum. I send out mine everyday since I have two long hair cats!
I just bought that same six cube striped organizer u have under your sink from target last week. To hold my writing utensils
Hi. Watching your old videos for inspiration and motivation. ❤
Great tips!! And kitty is adorable!!
I'm sooo happy I found your channel💞 You're so gorgeous and these tips literally changed my life!!
Omg thank you so much- you totally made my day! :) Thanks for watching Sarah!!
I love your videos, your house, the decoration. I'm so glad I found it. Your cleaning recommendations and the way you do it is great
Love your bedroom set! Beautiful colors!
1) bed making takes 20 seconds. Everyone has time
2) please don't run dishwashers at night. Mine caught fire!!!
3) shark vacuums are fab
Side note: orange kitties are the best.
Very nice & organized i just love it girl, thank you, i still trying to get there, not guite there yet! Especially when you have kids running around making a mess, but thanks again!

Ur home is beautiful but why do youtubers like to have grey or white homes? Is it a trend?
staged.
@@lyndamelnicove8896 that's what I thought. But why?
It's not staged. I love grey and white interiors because it makes the space look open and bigger. It just looks very neat and clean.
I definitely don't like grey. I like neutral colors like off white but not white. I agree, too sterile.
Thanks :)
You have such a pleasant voice, your home is lovely, and the tips are really great and practical. Thank you.
Thank you, you are so kind!! I have lots of other cleaning videos if you're interested. Thanks for watching!

The receipts tip is golden!

I have the same air purifier... I love it. I am actually cleaning the filter right now... Any tips on cleaning the filter? Maybe a video?? Thanks
I don't run the dishwasher at night becasue we have solar power which only gives free electricity during the day.
You really should get a sink strainer to catch all the grunge.
A friend of mine has an iron rule for her family: If it's on the floor, it goes into the rubbish bin. She's completely ruthless about it, and it didn't take long for those slobs to get the idea:)
u can still keep ur house clean even when u have kids .. it's how u bring them up .

Hi, I love you 😘
i have 15 comforters and blankets that are all used. i need a neat closet storage idea that will allow me to pick the one that i want without making a mess of the others.
Thanks so much for watching!! :) LOVE my shark!
Andrew Kirby
I love your cat so much. I just want to cuddle her! What a sweetie.
She's my tiny bestie!! Always by my side :) Love her so much
Erica Lee I seen this video before but had to come back to look at the purifier.
A cordless vacuum is also wonderful and so quick and easy!
When you get out of bed you should fold back your duvet to the bottom of the bed for a few hours. This reduces bedbugs . you sweat so much out during the night. I spray lovely smelling disenfectant on it too😃
Loved this video! Weird question: What kind of trash can do you have?
Sydney Davis i know right? So cool! Know one knows?
You can also use ice cubes and lemon and lime wedges in you disposal to keep it sharp and clean.
The clear acrylic drawers for makeup are good utility wise but when you can see all million products, it feel it’s visually not pleasing. It’s a hard balance to find, still trying to figure that out myself for my vanity.
Thanks for the tips! Love your kitchen sink, it's huge!
Love these tips very helpful thanks 👍
I am obsessed with method cleaners! smells so good 😊
Same!!! I think I own every scent! :) Love them!
