Act II. Albert Herring (Nick Pritchard) has finally mustered up the courage to thank Lady Billows (Janis Kelly) and the other village elders for electing him May King. Mr Gedge (Julien Van Mellaerts) proposes a toast, and Albert downs his glass of lemonade. Unbeknownst to him, it’s spiked with rum, and it gives him the hiccups.
The Royal College of Music’s production of Albert Herring is directed by Liam Steel and conducted by Michael Rosewell.
