    I was a cabin crew too for Ryanair as well, and this video brought me back to those mornings waking up at 4AM, the nights coming back late at home, and the feeling of doing a job that I like. I liked the vision you show of this job, I miss the feeling of going to fly everyday. Great video!! Keep on uploading

    hello from a regional flight attendant in the US! I would love to know more about your services onboard. I think you mentioned a perfume service and scratch card? but there were a couple other ones that I had never heard of either. we just do beverage service (with snacks) and sometimes first class meals on my flights. (:

    • @Cecilia..
      @Cecilia..  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! We do a lot of service in our flight because the company can have a revenue also from that! Ryanair is a low cost company and you can find tickets for 10 € (sometimes even less). We have service like gifts and cosmetics, bar service, scratch cards, pre order (for panini and hot meals), dedicated (two specific perfume or gifts) and in some flights we also sell cigarettes and alcohol.

    Great vlog! How do you like your car? I am thinking about buying the electric version. All I need is a small city car. I have owned about 7 Fiats. I love them. Stupid question: Why do you bring a huge crew bag to work? You return to base every day… I have followed the industry since 1978, and worked there from 1993-2007. I miss it ALOT. Keep up the good work. Be safe! Greetings from Norway!

    I wanted to ask you something cause I want to try out and I’m curious about this. But when you fly from one place to another, do you ever get the chance to stay for like one day/two days or even half a day in the place your flight is in? Like for example if you had a flight to Berlin, does it ever happen that you get the chance to stay in an hotel paid by the company until your next flight back?
    Or do you simply always have flights to one place and then immediately back? I’m just curious cause I thought it would have happen that you would have a lay off for 1/2 days in a certain place but apparently it doesn’t happen with Ryanair?

    • @Cecilia..
      @Cecilia..  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No, with Ryanair doesn’t happen. If we have an overnight is because we worked too much for that day, there is a problem with the weather or the aircraft (and there is no other way to bring us to the base) or the airport is closed because is late night. But sometimes they ask you to operate out of your base. This summer I went to Barcelona and I managed also to visit the city a little.

    • @romanamann4296
      @romanamann4296 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One question: how did you afford to buy your car? Can you afford living well with this salary?

    • @Galf506
      @Galf506 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@romanamann4296 I'm not CC myself but I've got friends working for RYR and I can tell you they have very respectful salaries and they could all own a car each (they don't because they use public transport, which is cheaper and more reliable in northern europe). The job is tough but one thing people don't talk about it's how "reliable" it is: RYR tells you your working shifts and that's all. They tell you when you're on and when you're off with months in advance, air travel legislation protects you from overworking, you can plan your entire life. And that's really a lot of removed stress from your life.
      The biggest "problem" is that people don't realize how important is the job of a CC, you're necessary safety personnel, so you both have to be very aware of all the rules and operations, be efficient, and be always strict to the grooming standards (clothing, nails and makeup, shave or beard for men.) - RYR is quick to fire people.
      So really if you're interested in the job, take it as going in the military. It has more in common with that than with civilian life in some ways.

    • @romanamann4296
      @romanamann4296 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Galf506 wow. Thank you. You gave me so many answers - and I was thinking of military and here you name it. Close to northern Italy base is also Swiss. What do you know about them as cc?

    • @Galf506
      @Galf506 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@romanamann4296 I'm sorry I only know RYR people, If you're thinking about it, I would go for it. I'm seriously considering it for next year if my current work doesn't pan out.
      You just need to be mature and autonomous, and respect the rules exactly. Like you have to show 45 minutes early for a report, plan to show up 1 hour early. If you're female, start now practicing the grooming standards if you're not comfortable with them (if you show up to work with untied hair or no makeup you WILL get reported)
      I think everyone agrees that RYR is a great "launching point" to enter other airlines in the future, they have very good and strict safety training. But just check out if they have open days and try whichever you prefer, Swiss surely has stricter requirements (you need to know German for sure).

  • @Godfranci
    @Godfranci ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Thank you for your work and especially for the part that you service a lot of annoyed passengers on every flight! Did you have any route where is a lot of problems? I mean I remember long time ago my friend who was flying on certain areas of the world they told to me that everyone is avoiding one route...or one country in particular. Is that still there?
    Ryanair is for sure one of the best airlines in Europe if not the world. Why? I never flu with any other airline for that kind of a price like with them! Mine personal record for the ticket was 5 cents!
    So I start be thankful for them and I start Free marketing for them. Soon after few flights long time ago I invite al my friends and family to fly with them. And most of them did it...even my sister who is on the wheel chair...she somehow put her fears on the side and try them! And again THANK YOU Cecila!

    • @Qbexito
      @Qbexito ปีที่แล้ว

      Ryanair is literally the cheapest airline in europe, some ticket prices are that low that if there wouldn't be any additional payments from passengers, a profit couldn't even cover fuel expences for said flights, and yet you still want discounts? Flying costs, train is the way if you want something cheaper (and also more environment friendly) than that.

    Why is ryanair planes always dirty

    • @Cecilia..
      @Cecilia..  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ryanair policy is to have 25 minutes of turnaround. We don’t do layovers, so in 25 minutes we have to disembark passengers, check the aircraft and clean it as we can, than board the plane to go back to the base. In 25 minutes we cannot ask cleaners to come on board. We try to pass through the cabin as much as we can with the rubbish, but not always is given to us. Even if we pass a lot of time, we always find rubbish. Sometimes we find food, underwear, diapers, mask and much more. We cannot clean perfectly the aircraft, we do what we can (also because is bot our job). We also don’t have anything on board to clean it.
