  • Wind-screen battle today on 2 of the most popular scooters in the 300cc class in the world.Xmax vs Forza
    On my right we have the reigning camp the honda Forza 350 bringing to the test the new power opperated sceen with variable height setting.
    Over to the left the challenger the Yamaha Xmax 300. No power screen on this scoot but it still comes to the ring with a pretty easy and cheaper manual adjustment set-up to lift the screen to a much higher direction.
    Let the battle begin!

      apart from the bulky radiator it looks fine. i know they have to cool them a fair bit to meet the imessions laws etc -so not much one can do about that side of it.

      @@ridewithwarro I think all Euro 5 are tamper free as for the radiator it helps with performance I can live with it & it's the only way you can make a large capacity single these days that's why R.E phased out their 500 but also due to 50yr old design with fuel injection for past 12yrs flogging a dead 🐎 horse scenario.Be sometime before Rider reviews appear first ones will be India but lucky for us some of them will be in English.Never know R.E might up capacity to 750 to compete with 56hp BSA after all R.E 650 can easily be converted to 750 with a bigger barrels,cam, pistons at factory anyway.

    Another nice comparison between the two scooters. Frankly, I am impressed how clear both scooters windscreens are. They have very little distortion when you look through them. Not every motorcycle manufacturer's screen is that well designed and manufactured. And the fact that the Honda's windscreen can go up and down while you are riding is a nice feature. Clearly, both scooter manufacturers have the rider's comfort as a major factor in their designs, unlike some motorcycle models that come with stock windshields that I could name (but won't).

    • @ridewithwarro

    After many years with my loved Honda VFR i wanna try out a scooter. the biggest reason is the comfort, and i like the Forza the most. But im 190 cm, would a screen like that still give me good wind protection?

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      a rough guess and i'd say no the screen won't help you much as i found very little difference between it and th fix yahama on high setting.plus you might find the riding postion slightly cramped too. i'd look at maybe the big yamaha tmax at 500 odd cc and much more room to stretch out and plenty of power on tap..

      I have a qualifed opinion about that. I have just returned from Gran Canaria after 3 weeks holiday. I had a scooter all the time there. First a xmax 300, then a Piaggio Beverly 400 and last a Forza 350. I am only 181 cm, but probably with a relatively longer upper body, than a typical person with that height. I was not satisfied with the screen in top position - it just caused buffeting, so the electric screen was more or less useless for me. I actually preferred to keep it in lower position at high speed. BUT - I tried to duck at high speed with the screen in high position, and then it works very well, so my conclusion is: for a short person, the screen works perfect - NOT for You.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@CEAAJI this may work. when i had the honda cb500x i ran a small windscreen deflector purchased off ebay for roughly $30

    In the UK, Honda Forza 350 undercuts the Yamaha by £200, a win for the Forza, the Yamaha is said to be more "fun" to ride, the Yamaha has "proper" motorcycle front forks, clamped at 3 points, mudguard, lower, upper steering yoke, Honda has only two clamping points, mudguard and lower steering yoke, do you think there is a difference in the steering feel of Yamaha vs Honda?
