" Everybody's a prisoner of their OWN perspective." ~ Ryan Coogler
Truth.
I ❤ what Angie is doing. I appreciate the professionalism and ease of how she communicates with her guests. She's like the homegirl, big sis and it truly makes he guest feel so relaxed because the conversations are like what you have with your friends.
A pro
I’ve been trying to compare Joe Budden’s style of interviewing to hers. Their friends, and I’ve wondered if she mentored Joe in any ways.
Ryan is very humble AND always delivers truthfully❣️
This is a great interview! I'd love to see an Issa Rae next! It's been really inspiring to watch these interviews, thank you Angie!
I love Ryan’s west coast accent
Me too! I'm from Cali so I definitely feel it 😊

Ryan has such a good beautiful soul...I'm from the Bay Area and I know his Father. I text him and talk to him on Facebook all the time. I make sure I support his son's movies everytime they come out. His Dad raised him right
Everyone is a prisoner of their own perspective! Lawd that just hit!!
Ryan Coogler is so introspective and intentional. Class act.
Angie you don’t need to hear this from me; you are necessary. You are so responsible with your platforms. You are kind and honor every single guest. I love to see Ryan out. There was a time he never wanted to be seen and didn’t want to speak. Your attentiveness and patience and grace is what affords us the opportunity to hear from him and people like him to gain insight, wisdom and hope! I just came to say thank you!
The 1 thing I took from this interview was, to stay in the present, take a deep breath, keep quiet, and take in what the person has said and respond.
Quotes I love:
Everyone is a prisoner of their own perspective
more is caught than talk - meaning that you can sit down and teach them something but if they are around you, they are going to catch you on what you do or what you are doing.
I’m glad you posted that, for someone who deals with work anxiety and overthinking a lot that post hit me
Watching this on the 11th anniversary of my father’s death, and Ryan’s reflections on Chadwick were much needed for the soul. Thank you both 🙏🏽
This interview was so, so, good! Angie created a space that matched Ryan's thoughtful and humble energy. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting this interview to make me reflect on myself. But, Ryan's patience and desire to honestly respond to Angie's questions allowed me to pause, breathe, and answer the questions for myself. Best surprise of my day. Great interview.
I knew Ryan Coogler was a truly gifted soul, but this interview made me love and respect him even more. ❤️
I love and admire Ryan Coogler so much. He's truly gifted, but also so open, genuine and relatable. I always enjoy his interviews and this was one of the best

Angie got my fave director on her amazing podcast 😭 Ahhhh love this! Love this interview! ❤️
This is my first time watching an interview of him
His art has made an amazing impact on the culture and I loved seeing/hearing him in this capacity. I love IRL!💕
As soon as he started speaking I knew he was from California. I thought it was LA because it reminds me of Nipsey. That accent is strong baby
You can tell this many has so much going on in his brain, not in a bad way but the way he takes in questions and expresses the impact of certain thoughts 14:29
He is sooo adorable and handsome, worth millions, in the words of Nina Simone oh to be young, gifted, and black
He is such an inspiration. Very thoughtful, honest and respectful person.

Love this interview. He is humble, authentic and genuine. Refreshing!
I so appreciate this interview.
I'm an introvert working in an extrovert world -- live event production. I had to get to a point where I would have to tell people that I'm an introvert so they had a better insight into my process, or why I'm quiet.
It's refreshing to see someone like a Ryan Coogler and know for his voice that he gets nervous. I mean this is RYAN COOGLER!
Thank you Angie for giving us AUTHENTIC conversations, in this sea of "Perfection".
He is always himself and is so open about being nervous, having doubts, etc. It's inspiring to see that. He's a role model.
This man don't even know it, but he directly changed my life 7 years ago. An eternal salute to this brother from me.

I worked as a stand in on the black panther and worked next to Ryan. He would have this one saying, which I forgot. But i remember his studder. But he always spoke to everyone no matter your position on the hierarchy which is rare when your on set. But him and his wife is from around the way and they know what time it is!

Amazing interview.
Salute! much success
RYAN COOGLER SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE NIPSEY HUSSLE ✊🏿
Not exactly, but the west coast accent is present.
This is a great interview
To answer Coogler's question about "What is pride?" Pride, let Aretha tell it... "it's the power that gives you the strength to survive." But on the other side of that... Pride can get in the way (too much of it), and block blessings, and productivity.
Ryan is a solid dude! Much respect to him and Angie.
Big fan of Ryan 🫶🏾
This is very random, but I’ve always admired and been inspired by people who are able to slow down and really take their time to get to gather their thoughts before they speak.
It’s really a skill and a power that I find inspirational and appreciate.
Ryan has this down to a T.
Great interview ❤
Great talk!
RC is brilliant, grounded and transparent. So full of humanity!
Great interview, Angie🤎! & Ryan is a Great Brother to work with (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever🙅🏿♂️✊🏿)
Interviewing Oprah can still happen. Don't let that dream go Angie.
Love me some Ryan Coogler.
Great interview! I know he’s from the west coast but his voice reminded me of nip speaking. First time watching an in depth interview about him on of my favorite directors. At the end when she ask him questions he literally does the deep breath thing that he talked about Chadwick doing that was cool to notice. I hope Issa Rae is on the list i think she would be a good one too
humble strong work ethic ✨✨✨
