In Lauren’s first “in real life” in-person interview since Hussle’s passing, she candidly discusses her journey through grief and how a deeper relationship with God has moved to the forefront of her priorities. @@stigerlove97 She said that her prayers didn’t work when Nipsey got shot, and when he passed, she started questioning God like “why would you do this to ME?”. She asked herself “well why not YOU?” Basically - what makes her special or immune to this happening to her, while there are so many other women and people who go through similar things. Her spiritual relationship with God started right then when she acknowledged that.

No one truly understands her! She said she has felt pure love and she doesn’t need to experience that anymore… WHEW. That’s different. Facts! I feel this very much; after my boyfriend passed away, (he was also shot & killed so it was very unexpected, similar to this situation in that way.), I also feel that I've already experienced a true genuinely pure love from this man who I know in my heart was and always will be my soul mate, (which I also believe you only get one soul mate in this earthly life), so I feel no need, and still don't to this day, to have love again. I know if it's meant to be it'll be, naturally. But here I am almost 6 years after his passing and Ive never felt the need to be with another lover. I only feel the need now to learn more about my own self, my relationship with God, etc. . But I welcome whatever plan God has for mu life, even if that does mean one day sharing a true love with someone new.

It took me a year to watch this interview, I didn't want to be in my feelings. When I tell you I cried the entire interview and after, she spoke the realist, purest, and most genuine words of wisdom. Lauren is my birthday twin 12/5, I'm just 8 years older. I lost my high school sweetheart, the father of my only child when we were 27, in the same manner. It's been 19 years, and sometimes that pain will hit like it was June 14, 2004, all over again. I'm so grateful and thankful for Lauren sharing and being transparent. I'm from Cali, Compton, to be exact, and we all love us some Lauren and Nipsey. When Pac wrote the song "2 Live and Die in LA," I don't think people really understood how powerful the words to that song truly were. I pray that Lauren and her family healing journey continues 🙏🏾.
Thank you, Angie and Lauren, for a great meal. My soul was fed.

She loves him so much she doesn't want to love anyone else. But honestly if it's meant for her to be in another to love again, God and Nip will let her know when it's ok! When she spoke on future relationships and not wanting to participate, it broke my heart because I know she is still grieving so hard that it probably pains her to even think about loving another man. I can relate, my boyfriend of many years was tragically killed, shot and burned, leaving me and my kids broken. It shattered me to my core, and I felt depleted, feeling that I would never love again and with no desire. She will love again, and it will be a pure love, when God see's fit. I met my, now, boyfriend several years after that tragedy and I love him so much and I can still appreciate the love I had for my boyfriend that was killed. Life is funny that way because as I lay next to him now I cant imagine loving someone more. I wish Lauren all the love and happiness her heart can take. I also love to see the growth that she has made through this tragedy.

I have definitely been there I've been to the point where I wouldn't shower or brush my teeth for a week and I would only walk out of my room to eat and if I wasn't eating I was crying all day . She’s literally saying everything I’ve been thinking these past few years …after losing two brothers I realized how trauma Can destroy you and as a person who tries to stay strong it makes it even worse to keep a front and tell yourself it’s whatever we need to move on …there’s those days I want to not be here but I could never because I love my family too much …but I now found Christ and I’m excited for life again because I’m now walking with him and not alone ….it’s worth hanging on and keep having faith . These goes for anyone who is dealing with some deep rooted trauma .
