I REMEMBER THE LAST SMILEY! I went looking for it years ago and was sad it seemed to be completely forgotten about. There's just something about the greyish flat purgatory hellscape of early 3D browser games that stuck with my head

I LOVED petpet park. If we are ever able to get a rewritten that would be cool, but I'll miss the original. (And, of course, Keyquest.)

@@weadz i focused first on the petpet and petpet park rebuild got the cache for the masp and were VERY not sharing resouurces or files, they also got 10 park games held up since 2022, if the original creator if this video can cointact me i can show what we would gain by freeing up this cache and making it "not lost" :)

Man Neovision... I didn't realize it was removed in 2009. I joined the site around 2008-2009 and it seems like it was around for a lot longer.
One of the groups trying to rebuild PetPet Park is called PetPet Park Rebuild, seems very promising :)
you reminding me of neovision brought back SO many memories. i remember i got into neopets around 2005-2007, as i most definitely was fairly familiar with the site already by 2008 when keyquest rolled up n so did neocash n had had many diff accounts that id always abandon sooner or later. i was OBSESSED with watching the little videos, in fact, while a lot of 2000s kids have nostalgia for warrior cats/furry amvs on youtube, i have nostalgia for neovision videos. i would tune in religiously, and i would use the funny ones also as backdrops/inspo for my own little stories id crudely draw on my sketchbooks. as a kid who didnt fully know english and had no idea how to make videos, it just seemed like a beautiful mysterious world of funny cartoons made by kids like me, yet who held knowledge i didnt understand yet. i wish i still had my old neopets comics i drew based on them lol

I didn’t play Neopets as a kid (although I did play a very very similar, controversial game..) but I did play Petpet Park. Luckily for me they’re linked, and that’s the only reason I have a 14 year old Neopets account as a new player so ty Petpet Park I will be forever grateful🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Habitarium was controversial because of how many neopoints it dolled out, honestly it probably did a lot to contribute to like the hyperinflation of the economy at that time. BUT IT WAS SO FUN TO PLAAAY I was crushed when they took it down...
Absolutely gobsmacked to see neopets resurgence with highschoolers and college kids Part Two really thought it was done for....
Petpet Park was my first exposure to Neopets. I found it and played it only to find out a year later it was being shut down.
some lost media I can think of are the exclusive art for the 2000s Zazzle merch, some of it was uploaded to photobucket but there was still some of that art missing

I had so many unused rare paintbrushes, and collected tons of omelettes. I really miss it.
It is actually really sad that so many things have died. This gave me super nostalgia. I forgot about NeoVision!!

Instead of broken, barely functioning events.
keyquest and habitarium you can still get the files for and even open them, but they lost the server backend and its using the electrotank universe engine, most games use smartfox server..... this is the same one that webkinz runs off and its very likely that the "coding" is present but needs its base install to work.

I'm curious about the bad friends card. You mentioned it was found, but didn't show it, and I went straight to google but I can't seem to find it anywhere? There's the screenshots and a recreation, but not the actual clip. I've always been very curious about it, so I was excited to hear it'd been found!
