THE WORLD'S QUICKEST VW ALLTRACK WITH A STOCK BLOCK! That's a pretty cool achievement that Brian can now claim. It was truly impressive to not only see how much power his car made on the dyno, but also to see how fast it was in the 1/4 mile. To make sure here...I'm not busting Brian's balls with my other comments which may be taken that way - this is an amazing accomplishment here and the amount of practice and time it takes to get these times is well beyond what most folks that casually do a few pulls on the road/local track and read this stuff understand. It's not just floor it and release the brake and go and you get these times...it's in the details. He has the quickest 1/4 mile IS38 AT on the books hands down at this point and this is likely the quickest AT period at this point until someone else steps up and does the work and drops their times publicly. His 60' times are crazy and I believe that's on street tires so more time to be had with drag radials, burn out boxes, etc.

Nice work. These IS38 swapped Alltracks are a blast. I should know. I am working with Stratified Tuning to finish a pump fuel tune using the Golf R HPFP and vacuum housing and lots of supporting bits, then it is on to a an E30 tune to see what other fueling needs will be applied (MPI vs R injectors). No plans to lower the car as I like to blast up to trail heads so y'all enjoy the drag strip. Keep up the good work! Adam: love your content, never stop producing, please!

What was the secret recipe for the launch? Was it a tunezilla launch control? Brake boost? Also, what tires??
I let him borrow my Hoosier DR2's. I showed him how to stage the car more effectively. I explained how to get more heat in the tires. I instructed him on when to left off the gas to launch his car. But in the end, Brian was the one that got it done!
BC AllTrack has gotten there Alltrack down to 11.22. It will be interesting to see if either of you break out into the 10's in 2024.

Not sure how mode specific you want to get, but the “Chuckwagon” Golf Sportwagen did 11.44, but if you want to split hairs, it’s not an Alltrack.
It wouldn't matter anyway. Since this video was shot, this car went 11.37 @ 119mph.

I am, yes. An Alltrack is not the same as a Sportwagen.

It’s the same car. Same engine, trans, awd system, both even have very similar weight numbers. Some plastic around the fenders means nada.

Secondly, this is a buddy's daily driver with a completely stock motor and trans. Why the heck would he go and build the bottom end of the motor on his dialy driven car which he's extremely happy with the performance already?

@@VancityAudiAn alltrack and Sportwagen are the exact same. Same engine, same dq250, same haldex system. They both weigh less than 100 lbs from one another. Stock block record is 11.39 #jctuned

@@VancityAudi I never see the 2.0 people arguing about whether a different turbo is "stock motor" or anyone actually care about an A3 record vs. an R or S3. as far as I know the guy with the hybrid GSW is the fastest stock motor gen3 1.8.
@ngamber that's news to me. When I talk about records, I call it by the make and model, not by the engine and transmission. I would never compare a Golf R against an Audi S3 for records even though they share the same engine and transmission.

It's impossible to know if it's the quickest.
After digging and digging on the internet, no one has shared a quicker time. Fairly easy way to determine that. Yes, there could be some person that has managed quicker that has decided to not share their times with anyone, but that rarely is the case.
@@VancityAudi 380bhp on the wheels is not that much to be fair. There are good chances that there is a quicker alltrack out there as the engine can take more then that.
I say that the title you choose is just to get views. A sort of clickbait title. Far from the worst clickbait I might add, but still.

It also has absolutely nothing to do with the horsepower figures when running a stock block. It's the torque. 377lb/ft at the wheels on a tiny 1.8L 4 cylinder with all stock internals is a lot.
