I play through one with a Jazzmaster and I like it. I have a tube amp without an effects loop so if everything sounds muddy if I’m using reverb/delay/tremolo/whatever into the front of the amp, but it all sings properly with this in front of the effects and the amp cleaned up. It does have the raw sound my amp does when cranked, it’s very refined in comparison. Happy with my purchase, this is a good one.
Yeah, funnily enough I was thinking the same. Little bit of bass rolled back, and the treble pushed slightly with the gain rolled back just a touch, delicious tone 👍
I'Ve been playing the original blue version for years now and it still is one of my absolute favorites. Very, very, very Timmy-like (to say it carefully) and it nails it with a Strat, but that does not mean, that a humbucker guitar would not work with it either. I mostly hit it with a TCE Spark Mini Booster, but with very low to none boost levels... then it blooms....
I haven't tried the Mosky. The pure sky is very much Timmy inspired so it is very touch responsive and has that versatile tone stack, it's one of Caline's best 👍
Okay I need some clarity - Is there any difference between the original and this 10th Anniversary edition other than the way they look? I know you had a JSA mod version on your channel - I was hoping this 10th Anniversary Edition was modded as well. Thanks 🙏🏼 Love your channel ❤ 🎸

I was wondering at the time why you didn't use _the_ timmy setting as you do here at around 4:57 😂 I just watched the simon-mod pure sky demo you did. That one is _very_ nice!
I have just received my first guitar pedal, a Caline Pure Sky and I love it! I do just wanna check though, when I engage the pedal I can hear it through the amp, it’s not a popping or crackling that I’ve seen people talk about, it’s more like the amp is picking up the sound of the foot switch, any one else experienced this?

@@waltuhhimself the first maybe year was using the joyo American sound into IRs, everything after has been using the HX stomp and the same guitar for everything. I tried to keep it as consistent as possible so the only thing changing is the pedal 👍

Preferred this with most of the bass rolled off, gets a bit muddy I think, some nice top end in it though. Top demo as always BPC!

bass knob also works as a pre gain in the pure sky, when cranked it saturates even more.
Yeah, you get that kind of blown out speaker kind of tone. Almost fuzzy in places

Absolutely agree, it's a very versatile drive and definitely gets in the Timmy ballpark 👍 it's a budget classic without a doubt
Have a bunch of Caline pedals the puffer fuzz is a great fuzz it’s on my board as a staple along with my big muff

That was more like an OCD, this is more like a Timmy. The EHX is big and brash, this is much more delicate and refined 👍

I can't say I have. Sometimes a bad cable can do that, might be worth checking that? It's not normal for this pedal at very least

@@BudgetPedalChap so I replaced the Vox cable with a Kirlin 3 meter woven cable and it made a huge difference
